I understand why Xbox cards get taxed -- because they don't tax you within XBL, but since the playstation does... Do we still get taxed at the counter or does it act like a giftcard where you are not taxed until you use it?

It would be silly for it to be double taxed, but I can see that since we can technically change the province to lower the tax that they still might tax us.

IF we arn't taxed it'd be a lot more enticing to go to the local store to pick something up instead of using my credit card and forgetting I put something on it :bomb:

Yeah I know it was posted multiple times... but I figured someone would respond sooner than 4 hours later than if I scoured 30 searches and pages.

I had a feeling it was -- I just wanted clarification.

To help pour more concrete to the answer:
PSN cards should be treated like gift cards, and should not be taxed at the counter.

The only tax you should experience is the sales tax when you purchase something :)
