Such a good price on that Atelier Trilogy but having not gotten through the one Atelier game I did buy (Ayesha) and now having so many new ones released it feels like the time has passed. It's hard enough just finding space on the memory card.

Might pick up Corpse Party Blood Drive. Not sure if it ever gets a larger discount. I also realized I'm missing book of Shadows. I hope it goes on sale soon. I have the first Corpse Party on PSP and wish I had the extra content of the 3ds version, but $30 is too much.
 
I was waiting for Hakukoki: Kyoto Winds to drop in price so an alright flash sale for me. Some decent but not amazing prices for sure.

Yeah, it was this month even. I want the game but knowing it was on PS+ is enough for me to just wait to see if it appears on NA+ in the future.

Anyway, this sale is basically the niche Japanese game sale for me. Grabbed Sword Art re: Hollow (I know 0 about the anime but I won't turn down a $5 action rpg), Akiba's Trip, God Eater (which is nice since I bought #2 like 2 weeks ago or something when it was on sale) and Ragnarok Odyssey ACE. Still some other stuff I'd like to buy but I will skip for now, awesome flash sale for me.

 
PS+ has, for the most part, completely synched up between NA and Europe, hasn't it?  Enough so that I would think it's less likely for something to appear on one side if it already appeared on the other, rather than more likely.

I assume at this point if they're different it's due to some odd publisher/licensing issue and should not be taken as a sign that the other side will get it, but rather, something is actively stopping them from getting it for ps+ and they needed to find a last minute replacement.  And since most months are sync'd, there's not really a chance to get it either.

idk but it's not a guarantee they will do it for NA in the near future. 4 bucks seems like a decent price for what seems like a good game. arent there multiple games they've released in other regions that the others never got?

Are there a lot of people online playing either of the God Eaters? I'm looking at getting Resurrection but I don't want to play solo (with AI partners). I didn't like the game too much from when GE Burst for PSP was free, but might like it more if there are people to play with.

No idea to be honest as I just play with AI, but I imagine since it is on sale at an incredibly low price right now there are probably some new people playing.

I will say I have no idea what parts of the game you didn't like but as someone who also did not enjoy the PSP game I've been pleasantly surprised by GE2 (and I assume Resurrection will be better because it's technically the latest release in the series.) My biggest issue with the PSP game was that I found the weapons all boring to use. You basically just picked if you wanted a fast/medium/slow weapon and then spammed the same attack string over and over until an enemy died. GE2 greatly improves on that imo with the 3 new weapons which all feel very different and fun to use. You have a boost hammer that has a 'boost mode' where you trade mobility (can no longer move outside of dashing) for unique attacks, a spear with lots of aerial options and a charge mechanic where you deal 20% extra damage as long as you don't drop/finish a combo, and a scythe that can be extended at will so you can fight at a distance or use it to hit multiple body parts at once.

On top of that there is the 'blood art' system which is basically a talent tree full of combo modifiers some of which just increase the damage of an attack while others will actually replace them with something else entirely. It's been fun to experiment with.

It's been a surprising step up in quality to me personally. In the PSP game I just sort of flip flopped between weapons constantly as I found them all boring (eventually leading to me dropping the game entirely) but in GE2 it's the opposite where I struggle to pick either the spear or the hammer because I find both fun and can't decide which to main.

I don't know about a lot but I'll be picking it up now that it's on sale. Been interested in it for awhile but full retail was a lot to take a gamble on. Plus with Monster Hunter World coming out in January I want to get my gf on the hype train of games like this.

I'd be curious to see if God Eater would make someone hyped for Monster Hunter proper. They are obviously really similar but at the same time there are noticeable differences. Assuming you've played a MH game before (which it sounds like you have) you are gonna notice so many different things immediately. God Eater feels a bit like a budget game, especially in the way it animates. I'm not normally someone to get hung up on animations but playing a bunch of God Eater has really made me appreciate how well monsters in MH animate. They feel like living creatures that belong to the habitat you are fighting them in and their reactions to you beating on them is noticeable in a way I feel is missing in God Eater.

Also it's a bit more of an abstract thing but I appreciate the simplicity of the Monster Hunter story compared to God Eater. The way Monster Hunter is structured really lends itself to the idea that you are just this adventurer who goes out and hunts because that is the world you live in. God Eater on the other hand has like a real story, with characters, and cutscenes, and all that fancy stuff. It feels like your character is more defined where as in Monster Hunter you feel more like a blank slate. Like playing God Eater I feel like the chosen one while in Monster Hunter I am just another random Hunter trying to make his way in the world.

Yeah I get what you mean about the story. I like the idea of me being an elite badass who is trying to protect everyone while getting stronger. But at the same time I liked MH being you took down an elder dragon so that proves you're a badass.

I don't have any expectation that this game will be on par with MH but as an intro to the genre it should be good.
