Yeah, go with Infamous 2. The Phantom Pain is still a ways off (I predict a May release at the earliest), so you'll hopefully have time to work on GZ before then.
It's a tough one though. I'm high on MG after Peace Walker and Ground Zeroes is short. Plus it would be nice to clear my PS4 backlog before the inevitable Second Son and maybe Mordor with the BF price.

I just came to a sad realization on how much Gamefly has changed the way I am with games.  I am pretty much only looking for stuff for the kids (my wife just told me we are likely buying 1 or maybe 2 3DSs for the kids) or possibly at accessory deals.

Even great prices for games I want to play like Mordor don't interest me since Ill just rent it.  I need PSN to have a huge sale on digital only games with a flyer they release so I can feel normal again.

I think part of the reason my backlog got so bad is that I just love buying games. Like you, I just don't feel right having gone so long without buying one. Grabbing a PS4 soon should scratch that itch, though.

I'm sure PSN will do something for BF, just hope it's as good as some of these in store deals. Hopefully Second Son will be $20 or less, it was $25 on Amazon already. With the GCU though I've realized I'll be buying some physical stuff again, if only to buy, play, and sell\trade.

And that Disney Infinity 2.0 price is very nice. BB match would be titsapoppin. Only reason I got it for Xmas for the boy last year was the epic $18 price drop at Walmart on all games. Was able to price match at Target at 8:30am before they figured it out. I think my son would get way more use out of the Marvel version as he spent a good chunk of the weekend just running around the city in my 100% save in LEGO marvel.

Judging by the noob level in the amateur division, I think anyone that has made it past the jungle should be expert division.
I just figured out last night that I can grab the gold head and get out of the way of the boulder instead of trying to outrun it! my cat's breath smells like cat food!

I'm apparently feeling really simpsons-y today.

Guys, why can't I get that hover bike trophy in COD? I've gone through it like 3 times now, taking no damage or hitting anything, and it's not working. All I can think is that maybe hitting the cars on the road can cause an issue.
You cant hit the cars. Youll hover right over them. Th first time i did it I took damage as soon As i got on the bike and that negated the trophy.

The Xbox AC bundle for $329 AND a $50 gift card? Damn, they really are pushing that thing arent they.
They also have a sale on Friday from 6AM-12PM where GCs are 10% off, up to $300 per household, in store and online. They can be used starting on the 29th so let's see what fun with math can do when you figure in a red card.

Red card only = 313.50 (330 - 16.50)

Spend $270 for $300 worth of GCs = $30 out of pocket - 5% = $28.50 = grand total of 298.50 (283.50 if the red card took 5% off of the initial $330)

So the GCs are the way to go and you get $50 back in another GC so if you want to take $50 out of those numbers, go ahead.

I agree with stotch, on a normal olmec run if you can make it past the jungle you will most likely make it to the temple. CoG should be cutoff
Beating the game, and being an expert at the game are two completely different things. You're going to have people in your expert division who are familiar with killing shopkeepers, getting certain items, etc., and then a couple dudes maybe on the bottom who beat the game once or twice. You don't have to do any of that stuff to beat the game, but you do to get to harder areas, which is why I would say those harder areas should be the cutoff.

I'm pretty okay with this cutoff actually.

Oh snap! I have a Red card too, good call. Hopefully they do. But I agree GCU would be even better!
They have in the past, I ordered Arkham City: GOTY a few Black Friday's ago off the target site. The trick will be figuring out when it goes live, some stores wait till early AM on BF to flip, and some just go ahead and do it early morning on Thanksgiving.

movie and TV show deals start on page 17. Gravity for $4, Edge of Tomorrow for $6, and seeing if the $8 Hannibal S2 and $10 Supernatural S9 are matched at another store including the blu-ray version (only shows the DVD version in the target ad).

The pro cutoff is beating Olmec, I'm definitely not changing it to City of Gold.  Both because getting to and beating Olmec is hard as fuck AND because if I did that we'd only have 4 in the pro division.

I'll put Cleaner and Blue in the novice division though unless Crunchewy (who may have vanished into a vortex) totally disagrees with that.

I wish it wasn't completely rude and inconsiderate to ask a dude to take a picture of his awful moustache to post on the internet so other people can compare it to the worst moustaches they've seen because I've got to know if this one comes out on top.

Retro City Rampage is getting a limited (to 2,000) retail release on PS4.

http://vblank.fangamer.com/products/retro-city-rampage-dx/

$25, $29 with shipping.  Fun collectors item especially if you love the game.  I don't really care for the game so I can't justify $30 on it, no matter how cool of a collectors item it is.  If this was like a Braid remaster I'd probably grab it in a heartbeat.

If you want it, check out using Firefox for the best results. I couldn't get it to add to my cart on chrome.

PSN has never actually gone crazy for Black Friday before, I recall always enjoying the XBL Black Friday sales a lot more.
Stay positive! Well either way I'll probably be getting in on something. I'm only really looking at Mordor and Second Son currently anyway. I want Unity but decided to hold off for now due to the backlog. I'm trying to approach it series by series I'm seriously like 1 game behind on everything, Uncharted, Batman, Infamous (2), Metal Gear, God of War. I want to hammer these out to be ready for the sequels when they launch. Infamous should probably be my point of attack since well the sequel is already here, lol.

Hopefully it's not too late, but figured I'd get in on the contest as well.  Gives me an excuse to actually play Spelunky.  I've never played it before, so definitely in the novice division.  I'll be fighting for last place, I'm sure.

Tyler & Cruch I just sent friend requests to both of you.

Sorry, I didn't want to make you angry with my suggestions. Keep up the good work on the OP though!

passed on picking up mlb 14 :ps4: at hpb for about $14 after coupon. also saw a psp 1000 for $35 after coupon. some good 360 stuff and cheapo tablets too. there's also a deal where you get an extra $5 in gift cards when you buy $25 worth.

Anyone played the Vita version of Lego Marvel? Yay? Nay?
No but I bought it. So hopefully Yay!

EDIT: Scores are kind of low 60-70 range but everyone compares it to the console version which they seem to do for all of these games. It's not the console version get over it. Probably average but fun.

I have, I think it is the most fun version of the game. No huge hub world for all the stupid fetch quests. Instead there are challenges for each level that are pretty fun. The levels on the Vita version are almost identical to the ones on the home consoles.

I was reading that it plays differently than a lot of other Lego games, which I'm kind of burnt out on. So I'll probably pick it up.

I forgot all about that Foul Play game that should be coming to PS4 and Vita.  So I looked it up to see how they're doing on it, and I guess it's the same dev that makes that Pidgeon fucking game.  lol

I guess the main question is whether you would remember whatever happens plot-wise in GZ by the time Phantom Pain releases, or just read up on it again if you need to.

I'm just waiting for the novice who accidentally ghosts and beats us all.
:whistle2:

I am not sure that it really plays all that different. It still does the story mode and free play mode thing. You just do not have all the extra hub world stuff to do. Everything in the game is made part of the story levels in terms of collectibles and such.

Yeah, I should have said that I've read that it's structured differently, what with the lack of a hub and added challenges.

do I pick up resonance of fate for $7 or shoot myself in the face?

edit - chose neither. that game sounds like too much of a time suck and my face is way too pretty.

every lvl has 10 objectives for a total : 450, 45 lvls
Yep, it is still a bit of a grind, but those challenges are much more fun than idiotic races with questionable controls or going to find a Lego lion and running him up to the top of a building for a collectible.

Pro-tip: Dont really bother doing too many of the multi-challenges until you finish story mode. Many are all but impossible without the Invincibility Red Brick.
