Doki-Doki Universe for PS3 is about the shittyiest coded PS3 game I've come across. I figure there must be a memory leak or something because every 60-70 minutes it will freeze and become non-responsive when spawning an item.

I haven't played it actually, but reading your recaps killed any interest I had. It sounded like its a 15 hour root canal with no Novocain. Or I were Wren and didn't take any pills for a whole hour.
He was playing on Suicide Mission which is the 3rd difficulty tier, though even on normal tier (2nd) it can be a bit of a challenge in places.

any of you movie buffs catch The Master? is it worth a watch? Im still waiting for a Paul Thomas Anderson movie to really hook me.

anyways I noticed The Master is on netflix now thats why im asking.
Eh, kinda. Basically they made a movie KIND of about the early days of Scientology because they didn't have the sack to actually made it about the early days of Scientology. So it is interesting to see bits and pieces of that. The pace is kinda slow and it is a bit overly long.

So nobody here besides Guardian Owl likes Spec Ops?
I liked Spec Ops a lot.

Screw you. You mentioned getting like a 30% raise over the last 6 months. You are just being a cheap fuck and need to buy a PS4 already.
But that's her money... not his. If there were any assholes in this thead, they would call his wife and let her know about all this sweet moolah he's been making selling games; then that would all be hers too.

Fortunately, I've already taken care of this. I made this call months ago when he first started his "hate everything so I'm selling it" thread and gave her the idea to wait patiently until he finishes putting in all the hard work selling everything before she sweeps in and takes it all.

$448.12, suckas.

Aside from it being less active I honestly don't see what's so bad about it now, lol. It's kinda where everyone here met...but yeahhh, i digress. Only thing I find disturbing are the two people named 'jimbo' who suddenly appeared in the same week.
I have been around for a few years and probably active in the other thread for a year or so. Just did a name change to match my PSN name which I have had since June 2008. The other guy has been here a long time too I believe but I don't know him so I can't say for sure.

I can see annoying...but ugly??

People in here have some absurd standards.
She's honestly not that bad (her eyes are a little whacky) but since she annoys me I guess she just goes to ugly in my mind.

I'm not gay or bi or what have you so I'm not her target audience anyways. I do think when it comes to women in entertainment though there are a lot of women who are prettier than her though.

Meh, everyone has their own opinion of attractiveness. Would I call her hot? No.

Is there other women who are hot that I can say they are? Yes.

Everyone has their own perspective.

It's also like this, do I think brad Pitt is hot? No. but I do think Hugh Jackman or Alvarro Negredo or this guy from a novella are.

Same here. Scarlett has done nothing for me since the very first movie I saw her in. The Island. That movie was...interesting. She made it much better. But ever since then I just dont see the big deal. I would never call her ugly though. I dont think Heigl is the hottest either but I find her more attractive than Scarlett.

So I wonder where the Xbox fans that says TLOU would not be very good because we didn't get much info till release and completely basing it off titanfall on 360...

I wonder how people would react if we all went to a celebrity worship forum and started chatting about video games in the middle of some Scarlett Johansson thread.

I liked her a lot in Lost in Translation, The Prestige, and Scoop. She looks good but is kinda meh in the Marvel movies. Haven't seen The Island or anything else with her. I did try watching Don Jon but it was immediately stupid and annoying enough that I didn't get far enough to even see her part in it.

They'd react the same way when people here say Heigl is more attractive than Scarlet: burn it down.

So Doki-Doki universe is definitely strange. It's basically scribblenauts except there is no platforming, all the puzzles are solving the problems of other characters. You do this by spawning items (called summonables) you collect (instead of words) or manipulating the characters / environment with your powers of telekinesis. As an aside (and pretty much inconsequential to the gameplay), there are 170ish questions spread out in 3-5 question chunks across the universe map which the game uses to try and get a semi-accurate personality profile. But in that same game you also have to learn to manipulate the characters to get the items you need to complete the game. Depending on the character, you either lavish them with attention, praise, and gifts so that they will give you a gift; or treat them like shit so they will give you something to leave them alone. Basically in a game where the theme is to gain more humanity and to get an accurate read on your personality, in order to succeed you have to become a sociopath. I'm not sure if this is intentional commentary or massive cognitive dissonance.

Ewan McGregor was good in The Island. More attractive than Heigl too. She was dead to me after she did Knocked Up with dumbass Seth Rogen.

Are there any difficult SP trophies, or if you can put up with a little grind, its an easy plat?
There are the collectible trophies, which suck. Every game they manage to double the number of collectibles required.

A couple "Beat this dude without taking damage" trophies that aren't too bad if you do them on your first playthrough when you're still on Normal. Just use checkpoints to restart if you screw up the fights.

The "hardest" one is the I Am the Night mode trophy. It's a permadeath mode. But by that point you'll need to have played the game twice through so you should know everything. Basically before every major section, I backed up my save to a USB stick in case I died. I only died a couple times, but I was able to restore my backup.
I am glad you do not mention the challenges. I hope that means the campaign challenges are not as brutal as the Arkham City challenges were?

Rpg never talks, just like me =)
If anything will ever get rpg to talk, this would have to be it.

I'll probably end up taking position #5 (at best) at the rate I'm going (I can't stop playing One Piece: UWR :joystick:).
Makes you wonder how after One Piece, Naruto is the second best manga right now in Japan (with better fights/powers though) and there still hasn't been a Naruto vita game.

If you've done the challenges in AA and AC, you'll see nothing new. I found them to be the easiest of the three, but maybe that's because I was so used to the tricks. Score challenges are super easy because you have a weapon that lets you get two hits for every one so you can build huge combos and then just ground pound someone. For all the campaign/predator challenges I just watched videos and followed them.

I had 100% on arkham city on 360 EXCEPT for one stalking challenge map that I just could not beat (the hard version of the tower one I think). that thing kicked my ass over and over, all of the other ones I don't think I had too much trouble.

Those damn challenges add nothing to the damn game and they're coming back to Arkham Knight. Damn it.

I could definitely see an Ultimate Ninja Storm type of game working on the Vita, but I guess the Naruto-game development companies think the Vita has no games, so why bother? :twoguns:

You sound happy.

Traitorpete. You should 100% it on PS3 and redeem yourself by Trophy Bautism.

Im stuck on the campaign ones in AC because of the predator challenges being in the mix. I have a hard enough time getting the medals when I just have to do one playthrough of just those level. Only getting 3 failures across the 3 challenges is crazy. Most all of the videos I watched were done by someone playing on easy so he had unlimited smoke bombs. Of course I didnt start the challenges until after my hard playthrough for NG+, so I just have 1.

Yet they are still developing another Naruto game for an October release, I think and the game is just filler, with nothing new storyline wise (except flashbacks by Kishimoto, I believe). Good job, Bandai Namco.

I am. I just hope they announce Phantom Pain for a summer release so I can finish Arkham Knight and The Order, plus some backlog in between. I've had a productive run over this summer.

I dont mind the regular challenges. They are pretty tough, but getting through one tough level is not so bad. Whoever came up with the idea of the campaign challenge mode needs about 100 kicks to the dick.

I think it says something that I loved going for Arkham City's plat and thus beating the Campaign Challenges, but I was so bored-ish with Arkham Origins that I didn't bother with those challenges.

Bring on the Arkham Knight challenges, Rocksteady! :whee:

I've had a friend platinum City like it was a joke. We're soon starting Origins together and I expect him to beat me to it. He's a med student and not big on trophies, but if the game interests him, he completes it fully.

I think Rocksteady is done with Batman after Knight, right?

Sad, because I would like to see if they could succesfully adapt the Batman V. Superman movie (if the movie proves to be decent or better). They seem more than capable of pulling it off. Sadly, the release window is too tight with Knight releasing in february and the movie in 18 months.

Flower is listed on Japan site for ps+ as one of the free PS4 games for August, good chance it will be same for NA. All the other games have already been in NA IGC. Sorry if this has already been posted.

Yeah, they're done with Batman after Knight. I'm personally excited to see what they have planned for the future, so long as it's single-player-oriented and for consoles. :bouncy:

Did I forget to mention the weird, somewhat creepy relationship between the main character (a robot) and a sentient red balloon?

Hotness definitely has other components besides physical attractiveness. For instance, I grew up watching Melissa Joan Hart on Clarissa Explains it All and I have a big sister (like she is on the show) so that kinda imprinted on her. So even when she was still younger and more physically attractive in later series like Sabrina the Teenage Witch I could never think of her in any other way than like a sibling.

So what you're saying is that the red balloon is hot, but not because of her looks?

Nice post. I think you just motivated me to take the game off my list of games to play. I deleted Scribblenauts after ten minutes because I just wasn't feeling it at all.
