Does anyone know how long Groupon orders take to ship? I ordered these Golds and they're still not shipped. My order statistics is "Awaiting fulfillment." But they charged me the day I ordered them.
It varies wildly. My wife orders a metric shit ton of stuff from there and it usually takes between 5 to 8 business days to get shit shipped. Sometimes they'll do it in a day or two, but it's usually longer.

last time I ordered from groupon took about a week and a half for me to get the order. I don't recall receiving a shipping notice, but I bet my email would disagree with me.

And Vag I might say something to that department but given that phone use at work is supposed to be a no-no it might not be worth an argument. As long as I can get one for a few bucks off Amazon it's probably just easier that way.
Yeah all I got from them was an email that my card couldn't be charged. And then an email a minute later confirming my order. And like I said, they charged me so I'm hoping it's all set.
Yeah, I watched half of s1, half of s2, then after that just kept tabs on what was going on without actually watching it.
And by "shitty characters" I meant that the main 3 characters at the start (Jack, Kate, and Sawyer at least screentime-wise) were terrible characters, but I liked pretty much everybody else at the beginning. The more screen-time somebody got, the less intelligent and more annoying their character became. This is the exact same way OUAT is; you start out with Snow White, Prince Charming, and Emma being terrible characters with a good supporting cast, and then as you go into the backstory and develop everybody else further they become complete losers.
Really both shows have a problem of PIS (plot-induced stupidity.) The main plot characters have to be stupid in order to progress the show the way the writers want but can't write believably, and as the secondary characters get more involved they get sucked into that same requirement for stupidity.
Examples from OAUT:
Prince Charming is a known impostor, can't lead for shit, is stupid in every scene he's in, and has no legitimate reason to be a leader. Despite this, the whole town follows his lead and look to him for guidance, which means all other characters must be written as sheep in order to justify it.
Regina Mills (The Evil Queen) hates Snow White because as a 7-year-old girl Snow White thought that mommies were supposed to be nice and told RM's mom that RM was in love with a stable hand. RM's mom killed the stable hand and RM declared vengeance upon Snow White in return. This "reveal" took ages to build up to and shows that the writers had no clue how to make RM a sympathetic character without making Snow White do something bad. So they took this approach instead, which is just a joke.
Gold (Rumpelstiltskin) is abandoned by his father as a child. His father goes on to become immortal by becoming Peter Pan. When his immortality is beginning to run out, PP kidnaps Gold's grandson (his own great-grandson) because Stupid Grandson (SG) is a "true believer" (ultimate moron) and can fuel the immortality back to full tank. When Gold finally tries to kill his PP to protect SG, PP steals the body of SG in order to live on.
I can't make this sound any smarter, and I'm leaving out most of the elaborate details. It's just plain dumb.
For Lost I honestly haven't watched or thought about it in long enough that I can't give the same specific examples. I know I had the same problems with the show as I did with OAUT; I can say that Jack gets the same baseless-leadership treatment as Prince Charming, for example. I'm aware of the overall plot of the show and how ridiculously stupid that is, especially when it was planned out years in advance (like guardian_owl mentioned.)
Regarding popularity of Lost...you do realize Big Brother is insanely popular, right? And The Bachelorette? American Idol? I don't know that invoking ratings or general population reception of a show really gives any significant meaning to an opinion. Obviously my perspective of Lost is that it's a shit show; I'm not going to represent that as having particular weight by bringing in statistics of random people whose opinions don't matter into the discussion.
Regarding your comment about how I started by saying the writers were the driving force behind Lost...I never said that. I said they were the same writers, then when you called me on it I looked it up gave their credits for the show, and also allowed that they may have just used the same approach on OAUT as was used on Lost. Quit moving the goalposts, man.
Really, though...I wasn't joking when I said if you liked Lost you should watch OAUT.
If it is like other years, you can go to a webpage and create your own news wire items. In fact, in the last version, I think that was the only way to get it to work. The person who created the dynasty had to do their own news wire posts.
I'm glad to see that the treasures of montezuma team was a lot more subversive about their grinding trophies this time around. defeating 100 players isn't so bad, but 10k honor will take a while (average so far is about 50 per win). buying everything would require a crapton of playing (maybe needs 100k+ crystals? haven't added it up). entering 100 elite tournaments would've taken 200+ days, but something went nuts yesterday and they posted a ton of them (I think I entered 10 before I ran out of crystals again). the win with poison trophy I think requires purchasing an item that costs 8500 and then you only have a 20% chance of landing it once per match. so gotta pick that item up early before you start doing a bunch of matches.

So pepsiman has infiltrated into about 10-15 different threads already, including "that" thread. He's also made his own topic and started a blog (watch out TJ). I think this is about as long as he's ever lasted. Spreadsheets. (gotta get dem likes doe)
I'm about 3 hours into Castlevania: Mirror Of Fate and I have to say it's better than I thought it would be. It seems like most of the reviews harped on what it wasn't instead of focusing on what it actually is. It's not SOTN but it's enjoyable, and any game with a halfway decent counter ability is usually fun.
On a non spreadsheet related matter, spoilered as per Tyler's bitching request about Rogue Legacy: [customspoiler='Dont click here Tyler']How the did you beat the Remix guys? They wont let me fight them my dude, only some pre-set retard with no health and shitty parents. I also should have beaten Johan/Fountain my first try, but got hit before I could get one last hit. Haven't been as close since. I'll have to let it simmer a while.[/customspoiler]
I didn't use a spreadsheet, but I just sorted out my non-Steam backlog; I'd been adding all my GOG, PS3, Vita, PSP, PS1, PS2, Origin, and UPlay games to howlongtobeat.com. Just went through my profile and selected the appropriate platform for each game, so now I can easily see the game per platform and how long it'd take to beat, which is nice.
So for PS3 I have 80 games to get through, 29 of which are physical games, then another 3 PS2 classics to play on it. Granted some of the PS3 ones are also games that were free on PS+ and I won't play. I need to go through those games and make that call still. Looks like it'll be quite a while before I'm ready to move on to a PS4.
Sjd just got a free like cause my phone is stupid. Enjoy it buddy.
Did someone spreadsheet the weekend's posts? Been so retardedly busy the last few days.
Got an email that Tyler is following me on twitch now, is that a hint? I'll try to get one going tonight. I get off early, and I'm off for two days. Probably sniper or killzone. Bound by flame is pretty lame, even though I finished the damn thing.

[customspoiler='Tyler Shield']As soon as you start a Remix boss, pause the game and look at the pre-set character's skills with the Square button. You have to use those skills (e.g., 3 or 6 mid-air jumps, mega MP refill with each attack, etc.) to fight the boss, so you will have to change up your strategy.[/customspoiler]

[customspoiler=' that']I'll never beat them then, that. You're telling me I always have low health and that "shadow" thing when I fight the eyeball? Yep, that.[/customspoiler]

[customspoiler='Strats']What do you mean by "shadow thing"? It might not help, but I look at it more like you can only take 5(?) hits from Neo Khidr before dying. You also need to use the powered-up Sword Wall spell you have with the Triangle button (you are a Spellsword for that fight, after all) in conjunction with the MP-replenishing you get with normal attacks, or the fight will take much longer.[/customspoiler]
