But I don't live in a world like that exactly. I just enjoy being happy and don't let myself worry about stupid shit that doesn't directly affect me. Plus, like I already said, there's no concrete resolution to the issue. Nobody here is going to "win" the argument and be thanked by everyone else for "enlightening" them. Why worry or even waste breath on a topic like that?

Now if my fridge isn't running when I get home tonight, then those puppies and kitties are going to all get kicked in the stomach!

Whoa, whoa, whoa, definitely not on his side on this one. I'm just saying, if you're against it with Equis, you should be against it for everyone.

On the other hand, while what snakey says is ridiculously stupid, it's just a comment on a message board from a known moron. I don't know why Equis would feel personally offended by it, even though it's weird and creepy as fuck. Now if this was in person, then it'd be a whole other story.

That being said, I avoid harrasing others. The favorite posters list and bape hoodie incident come to mind, which I didn't see the need to comment on. All in all, we can be cool about it.

Come on guys, Stotch and I (and others I am sure) stopped calling V...ig that other name.  If someone in here says to stop something, just do it.  We want all the legends to live.  Even the weird and creepy ones.

This. Everyone thinks they know the whole story, and every couple hours it changes. Either way, the whole situation is stupid. A bunch of people from my store got drafted to go help clean up the Wal-Mart there.

I'd say so. I love the manga and really like what I played of PW2 so far. I need to get back into it at some point. :joystick:

Note that I'm also a big Dynasty Warriors fan, as PW2 takes many influences from that series in its gameplay.

It's hard to be on the side of the guy with the gun shooting down an unarmed teenager, regardless of what happened before.

If the scenario took place between two civilians, would you feel the same way? If someone tried to wrestle a gun out of your hand, failed, and then took off running, do you think you're in the right to shoot him?

I could never get into One Piece. I tried, but I don't know what happened. Maybe I should give it another shot, but I haven't seen any anime in awhile. My husbands not really a fan of anything, it was a miracle he likes watching Samurai 7 with me. Other than that the only thing I can think of that he likes is DBZ because he watched it when he was younger.

It's a lot of fun. I'm a bit disappointed that it's not like the Naruto games that follow the story and have big, epic boss battles and stuff like that, but there's a ton of fun to be had messing around with all of the different characters. Usopp definitely plays differently than Sanji, who plays differently than Law, etc. Normally I would find these games too repetitive to get through but since each character feels unique you can have a lot of fun switching around.

The first Pirate Warriors follows the story but I haven't played it (if my PS3 wasn't sitting in the closet I'd be more tempted to buy it) so I couldn't give you any impressions on that one. Seems like a lot less content and characters with some allegedly terrible platforming bits thrown in.

I was going to pick up a couple things from the Anime sale like Murolmwkrwrwmerkwjrlk Curse! and One Piece: Pirate Warriors, but after a little research I am going to stick to my backlog.

 
You guys should be hyped for the Sony Gamescon conference tomorrow. It is widely known that it is becoming bigger than E3 and that Sony really brings the stops to this. Not to mention all the exclusives that weren't announced at E3 will most definitely be announced here since most of those exclusives come from European developers.

Major Sony developers, Media Molecule, Guerilla Games and Quantic Dreams all have unannounced projects which could be previewed. It is also believed that Sony will announce PS3 titles, Journey and The Unfinished Swan for release on PS4 – perhaps going live during the conference itself.

Sony will respond to Microsoft with their own press conference hours later. Their plan will probably be similar to Microsoft's: hype up the fall releases and then make a few 2015 announcements. The holiday launches on display will likely include LittleBigPlanet 3 and DriveClub.

Sony has released three teaser trailers for their press conference. Each shows a blood-stained, snowy environment. Many believe that Sony is hinting at a full reveal of Until Dawn. Until Dawn was a horror game initially revealed for the PS3 back in 2012. Presumably Sony will reintroduce the game and confirm a PS4 release.

It's more of a dream scenario setup that doesn't follow the manga at all. There's definitely some references to the story, characters you haven't been introduced to, and a couple things might be spoiled but without having read that far you probably wouldn't even know what's real and what's made up for the game.

Mostly you'll just be seeing the new character designs for the New World half of the manga.

My wife thinks the worst harassers at work are those who think they're just cracking jokes and stuff.   Especially at meetings, which she says are often boys clubs and while none of the jokes, on their own, are enough to report/make a stink about it's more that it all adds up, making the environment feel very exclusionary for a woman.   Nothing is aimed directly at her, she's not talking about patting butts and stuff... it's just endless light sexist banter that those involved likely don't believe would bother anyone.  And they probably wouldn't bother her, even, if it wasn't a work environment she was required to be at.

On the other hand, big boobs in games, porn, etc. don't bother her in the least.  Different people like different things, and not all entertainment needs to be for everyone.  Just don't watch/play what you don't like.

Sexual harassment is entirely different, yes.

When it comes to the rest of us, if someone goes too far with their bull shit then stick up for yourself. Vig asked us to stop with the nickname, and for the most part people have.

It is obvious another poster and I are not fans of each other and we have had posts about it back and forth. Things like that happen and if the people that are part of them are reasonable adults it tends to get dropped.

If anyone else has an issue where it is ball busting gone too far, put on your big boy pants and do something about it instead of wanting to act like you are on a moral pedestal for everyone to look up to.

In this case, she asked him to drop it and he didn't. None of the rest of us (except likely the other female we know of in the thread) know what it is like to be a woman getting direct sexually focused comments or the fear she likely has that he could possibly be more than just a harmless dude on a forum.

Good questions.

If two civilians were involved it doesnt change my answer. The shooter is at fault if there is no immediate danger. The cop is probably at fault in this case. All I said was that its hard to believe an altercation didnt precede this shooting as cops may be assholes but arent usually animals. This cop could be an animal of course, but we dont know for sure just like we dont know if the guy that got killed wasnt an asshole too. Doesnt make it right either way, but again, I dont want people to die. When in doubt, stay out (of an altercation).

I dont think any of us truly know what we will do in these type of situations, but I would like to think if I am somehow in this situation I would let that person go so I dont get thrown in jail myself. But again cops have more power and know they have law on their side a lot of times. So again, stay away from confrontation with cops so you live. Thats all I am saying. If you dont want to be afraid of cops, dont, I am not. But I respect the shield even if the asshole carrying shouldnt get respect. I dont want to die.

It's the same reason all these Stand Your Ground laws are so insidious, they incentivize killing. If two bicker and argue and come to blows, and at the end both are left standing you have your side and they have their side. If you blow them away, all you have to do is prove that you felt "threatened," which is pretty easy to prevent from being disproved when there is only one person to tell their side of the story.

 
Like I said, you might want to avoid the first Pirate Warriors unless you absolutely love Dynasty Warriors games or are that desperate for something to play. The first one has something like 13 vs the 37 playable characters of the second game.

I got my copy of 3D Dot Game Heroes from Target's used game selection. Store at lunch didn't have shit for PS3 today though. Just sports Champs 2 & some Bukake game. Bukaku? Busaku? Some green covered anime cartoon thing.
