Exactly... MS probably threw a large sum of money that made the under performance on sales of the last one look bad... you can't fault Square for taking that money to make sure it is a success. MS is the one that threw that money so Sony would not have a chance to benefit from the game. The fact that it is also for last gen consoles so late in 2015 makes me not worry too much... definitely won't be a system seller and PS will eventually get it.

I can't argue the fact that I'd like to see more AAA PS4 titles. I am more interested in The Order, Bloodborne, and UC 4 then I am TR, Sunset Overdrive or any other Microsoft exclusive though. The Sony exclusives have always interested me more. I wouldn't mind playing Fable though, and Gears was good way back when I had a 360.

So with share play...did they say anything about trophies being earned?  I can see a lot of people helping each other out.  Or did they say if all games could be shared or is it developer choice etc?

I'm sure it'll be brought up sooner rather than later, but my expectation is that they wouldn't go through the trouble of disabling trophy earning for something like this.

that said, I expect there's already a bunch of 'pay us for trophies' groups ready to expand their services to this arena.
 
Shahid is in defence mode on Twitter, calling out all the previously-announced titles still coming to Vita.

If that was all you needed to do to generate hype, then why did the spend at least a half hour on FC4, Tearaway, Destiny, etc.?  :wall:

Whenever I hear about 3rd party exclusives, I am more upset at the developer than the company gaining the exclusive, although, you can't really fault them for it.  I'm sure there's some high dollar figures being thrown around.  But competition is good for us, either way.  I think both companies doing well can only improve things overall.

That said, I'm Sony through and through, so even though TR wouldn't be a first day purchase for me, it sucks to lose any AAA title.

 
Hey Stotch, you gonna bother playing ToS: Dawn of the New World? If it's as terrible as everyone says it is, I may just play ToS and skip the 2nd one.

especially when games like Batman and Star Wars battlefront will have already abandoned previous gen systems

 
I have not seen anyone bring it up, but I think the Tomb Raider franchise is a bigger seller in Europe than in the US.  My guess is that MS wanted it to try and increase sales of systems there.  I am not saying it will work, but I think that it was their target market more than the US.  

They had to try something else when giving away FIFA didn't even work.  My guess is this will be equally as successful.

Hey bestkeeper, how much time are you putting into all of these older sports games to get the trophies.  Hearing you talk about it makes me think about doing it more and more but if it's a huge time sink I'll probably continue to skip it.

If you say so. I still think people will value being able to play the next gen version and will factor that in when deciding which console they want to own.

Depends on the game... NCAA 10-12 are a couple hours. And Madden 11-12 are a couple hours as well. Madden 11 is impossible to get a plat now as servers are offline. All NCAA is capable and Madden 12 servers are still up. Madden 13 and NCAA 13 are a grind due to legacy score trophies on both.

But like I said, 5 easy plats with the early NCAA and Madden games. I did Madden 12 in on Saturday morning, my trophy card shows longer cause I started it way back when when i got a couple easy ones. but the others were easy to get. FYI it becomes easiest when you have two controllers.

Actually I came here to post that I started the first one today and it's not really hooking me. Only about an hour or two in, but it seems boring as shit. I switched to infamous instead.

Which obviously happened with TitanFall right...?

Having that on both 360 and One didnt affect One sales at all did it? MS sold so many more consoles when that came out and then delayed the 360 version. The one even beat the ps4 in sales that month.

Oh wait, no. No it didnt.

That doesn't sound very good... I have enough long rpgs to play that I may need to check and see if my return window is up on it. Let me know if you put anymore time into it soon and it starts to pick up.
