Dammit. Just realized the RDR copy I bought was the vanilla Greatest Hits instead of the GOTY edition. Oh well. Just means I don't have to play as much, though I'm kinda bummed about the missing Undead Nightmare.
Return it, I felt like the undead nightmare was pretty cool as it had its own story...definitely worth it to me.

Anyone want to help me figure out what to grab on psn? I picked up 2 $20 cards as a present to myself (separate from my normal budget, so I want to just 'spend' it now vs waiting for sales like I normally do).

I already spent $20 on Dangaboogaroo, so I've got $20 left.   (and I don't mind going a bit over... two $15 games instead of two $10 games, for example)

The contenders (that i can think of):

Transistor ps4 $13.50

Arc the Lad  $6

Arc the Lad 2/Monster Arena Bundle $9

Arc the Lad 3 $6

Strike Suit Zero ps4 $10

Bit Trip Runner 2 vita $5 (already have on ps3, but would actually play on vita)

Trials Fusion ps4 $13.50

Elminage Original $15

Cladun $10

Alundra $6

i review enough stuff here that most of you know i have pretty broad tastes, from dual stick shooters to fps to srpgs to roguelikes and dungeon crawlers.

I've heard good things about Transistor... so I think that might be a given?  Any naysayers want to stop me?

If I grab that, there's only really room for 1 more game.  So i think perhaps a psp or ps1 game that i usually put off might make the 'best' present to myself.  I'm currently playing Arc the Lad: TotS on ps2 and loving it, so getting the ps1 games is a serious option.  Elminage looks like a solid dungeon crawler, but the price is high... which actually makes it a good 'bonus' buy for this situation, since normally i'd never break down and get it.

Would love some input.  I keep spinning in circles on this one and can't quite pull the trigger.   I also have a little voice whispering in my ear that i have $20 in sr credit coming my way soon and i should just grab even more.

If you get Transistor, then you should put the $5 down for Runner2, especially if you haven't got around to your PS3 copy. One of my favorite games of last year. Good tunes. Good platforming. Good use of Mario's voice actor. And alliteration up the proverbial wazoo.

Transistor fo sho. I have no real opinion about the other games that you listed.

Just for Tyler, I wasn't near any pizza places, so my dinner consisted of Panda Express followed by Jack in the Box (and about 4 hours in between).

And I'm going to vote for Stotch for CAG Champion, because he doesn't have "CAG in Training" under his avatar. Maybe that should be the next poll, Tyler. And make that shit public.

Pretty close to that PvZ plat. Thought it would take longer, I've got 3 trophies left and I'm at about 18 hours of play time. One Garden Ops trophy and 2 rank up trophies. I'm sitting on about 25 star challenge skips, so I should probably use em up on some of the more time consuming challenges. Game really needs a party system, though. Sometimes I'll join a game and then my friends can't follow me in because it's full or they'll get it and be forced to the opposite team.

welcome to 4 months ago. game separates you from your friends.

I think I need to go ahead and get some credit at GS somehow so I can pre-order ToHR. With it being a GS exclusive it feels like there will be supply issues even though it's a Tales game. Or does somebody have info to indicate otherwise?

they'll get enough for pre-orders, and maybe 1-2 extra. i would put a pre-order in at least. i've done it for every vita game that looks semi interesting. just in case i want to get a copy

Anyone here with Netflix used Unblock-Us? If you haven't, I implore you to do so now. Seriously. I set it up last night. Opens every region for viewing and it's amazing! If you already have a VPN this is obviously redundant.

Also, http://www.moreflicks.com/ is really useful if you're looking for a specific movie/show. Tells you what, if any, region of Netflix has it.

I might actually do this. The wife was looking for Call the Midwife, season three and I guess Netflix Mexico has it. So I just set this thing up and bam, I can watch Mexican shows?

Yeah, go to the unblock-us website and they'll assign you a new set of DNS numbers. You can then use those to replace the ones on your router or any number of devices. Then, from their site you can change your region by simply clicking on it. I'm usually bad with this shit but it really is that simple. We watched some Fresh Prince of Bel Air (Brazil), lol. Scandinavia seems to be where a lot of the good shit is.

I know people were talking about Fargo the series earlier this week - that's available, too. Homeland. Modern Family. Wolf of Wall Street.

And I don't have to have accounts for all these different regions? How does Netflix not know my account is associated with the US? Seems too easy. But also, it looks like it might not work with Roku, so that throws me off a little bit.

Nope, you don't need to do anything to your actual Netflix account. I imagine it's like traveling with your Roku overseas and plugging it in there. Lol, I don't understand how or why it works. Maybe @therm or someone can explain.

Here is the list of supported devices:
http://www.unblock-us.com/how-to-set-up/

Roku is listed. I can't imagine it being incompatible with anything, though, provided the device allows you to change the DNS settings. You can also change your router's and that will affect everything on the network, but I didn't want to do that. There are other cheaper options (many free) that I may to look into after this trial is up, but this seems the easiest.

I tried it on the ipad and it really is as easy as you say. I read the roku page and it said you'd have to change your router settings because roku use google's automatic DNS lookup or something. I'll look into it more, but it's definitely cool.

I don't see TiVo listed on the devices so I assume I'll have to change the router settings. But then that would make it work on anything I use on my home wifi right?

Thanks for the tip regardless.

Just found out that one of my nephews, who is the biggest pot head loser in the world, is having a kid. Holy love I feel sorry for that kid.
For the sake of that kid, hopefully the nephew will see this as motivation to become a better person. I can't think of a better reason for him to want to change.

I'm enjoying getting them and cleaning up the backlog. I just completed Tearaway and Hotline Miami this morning. That's 4 for the month. Not bad.
Affa was referring to snakeys shit hitting the toilet water, and you respond with cleaning up your <back>log. You are gross and icky.

Yes, I'd definitely do that. If you're up for more Target-flipping fun today (the last day the preorder card promo is live), CoD: G has a pretty good trade-in value at Gamestop, and I could give you a code for 50% extra trade-in credit since I have extras. PM me if you have any questions.

I care about Peggle 2. I'll stream it when it comes out, I play it on Xboner now though. Its addicting.

Blogcast is out rpg ;)

Ah yes, the classic 2nd dinner. Delicious!
