The competition needs to be 100% or platinum minus the DLC. The daily challenge is not a good idea. I'm sure old people will love it since they don't have to focus on trophies.

Correct sir. I guess it wouldnt be a huge shock if S2 had no plat since the digital didnt....but at the same time, yeah, it probably would be. I cant think of a disc based game that didnt have a plat since trophies have been mandatory.

That's because of an odd quirk. Ducktales remastered was released on PSN and in stores at the same time, but the original retail version of the game was a game case with a paper download code and a limited edition Disney pin for $5 more than the download cost. It is only later retail versions of the game (3 months after original release) that had an actual disc in the box. In that way it's not that different than something like the Journey: CE which featured downloadable games later released on disc with no plats.

Holy shit, comparing my Oddworld times to the speed run guide on PST.org, I have a total of 131 minutes more than he does. Even playing on hard, I feel like I should be able to shave a lot off if I use his guides, right?

Why do you say this?

Yes, it's called the 'trophy' challenge. But the point behind its creation and the ongoing leaderboard is to see who is the best at games in here, which doesn't always have to be reflected by trophies.

I thought it was to see who has the most time on their hands to finish a game the fastest when the competition starts?

 
And for those that don't like the other thread for the TiT competition, I won't use it forever.  The main goal was so that people could post lists of game ideas over there (instead of here) without me having to amass them all in one place myself.  And a lot of people did a great job of that, which was awesome.

It's also for me to ask for feedback and get answers all together instead of across the thread as people log in and view my questoins at different times.  Once things run smoother and we have things more figured out, all the voting and discussion for monthly games will take place here.

Its not that I didnt remember, Brian. Its that I didnt bother paying money to play a demo of a game I dont really care for.

I thought the trophies needed to be earned since that was required for Velocity 2X.

It was required for Velocity 2X for verifcation but I'm pretty sure we can use the leaderboards within spelunky to keep track of things the same way.

That being said, it doesn't look like anyone wants to do that so far anyway. Crunchewy, i'll still do it with you if you want to do something like that. I think it sounds fun. But it won't be for the tourney or anything.

 
Wait, you GCU guys didn't buy two 360 copies of The Evil Within for $34.39+tax each (each with a $10 gift card) when Best Buy had the price listed at $42.99 and lock in two $44.xx trades on Amazon? That effectively makes any other copy you buy cost $20-$25.

Sounds ok to me. I just thought we were going that route every game. I'm sorry I'll go back to the grey area.
 
Gator, the Utes score is now the exact same as the miserable game last week where they completely blew it vs Washington State.  The dude who scored the TD for UCLA was even named Washington.

 
I was just going to come here and make a sarcastic comment about how some idiot posted this video in the GS thread and made the comment that PS4 "won". It's official guys, PS4 has better graphics than GameCube.
