These posts from Frisky's thread (where Corgs hangs out now) aren't exactly inspiring me to play the copy of LoS2 I bought from Gamefly:

They completely 100% wasted the idea of playing as Dracula by having you do fetch quests for Patrick Stewart for most of the game. They also wasted Alucard.

No lie. When I was in my college writing class, everyone was given a postcard with a weird picture on it to write a story about. That lady appliance picture was my postcard. Swear to Lacy. I wrote a story about an evil race of appliance robot people or something equally fucked up.

This is why I didnt buy the game. I loved the first and wanted it but I havent heard anything I would consider good about it. And I played the demo when it came out and I could tell even with that it wasnt as fun. Something was lost for sure...

excellent question. we have the most dysfunctional game of pure chess by 'mail' maybe in the history of ever. I think we're like 6 moves in after 3+ months.

edit - he might've been one of the 'I'm not going to frequent both threads' folks.

I did, and I plugged the game in last night to make sure it works, and I still enjoyed the combat. It has a sweet block mechanic and a fun dodge mechanic. Feels like they got the combat right. I'm getting more interested to see how they ended up fucking this game up, because the combat feels awesome to me.

Isn't he mostly a gameshare guy? Though I don't know that he actually posts there much either.

He is cool though. I wish he was in this thread more.

I can't wait to go home and play drive club.

Tried to do a trade in before my shift this morning, and nobody could get their crap together. I told them exactly how to do it, but I'm just a dumb cart pusher. Wasted 45 minutes for nothing. I think I'm gonna try again on my first break, and just stay back there until someone gets it done.

Sucks about the iron banner stuff. I'll probably never get to 30 since my luck with drops in the raid so far has been pretty crappy. Wasn't really expecting much after the queen event though. They're doing a good job of keeping people interested. Several friends have already dumped their copies, and I probably would too if I didn't need to original case for a walmart trade.

If that was the Pix the Cat dev liking Vig's post, that would be cool.  I tweeted him right now too informing him about the tournament like I did with Futurlab.

Not sure what I said that came off as sounding like a kid, but we can't always tell how we come off sounding to others. So I'll wear that.

You made a curious comment. I didn't know it was off limits to respond. Maybe you meant to send a PM but put it in the forum on accident.

Not sure what you mean by "We'll see who ends up where come end of the season." That sounds pretty serious to me.

Perhaps I will send you a trade offer for Lynch to take him off your hands.

Well that is serious bullshit. I finally get through the virtual waiting room and tickets are already sold out for game 2, the only one I was able to get tickets for early. :(

Looking forward to diving into KH: Chain of Memories. I remember loving the card based combat when it first came out. Oh and Pix should be fun later today :)

Interesting he mentioned just those. I just assumed the leaderboard one people mentioned would likely be the worst by far.

That's what I was thinking as well. I suppose it all depends on how many people with plus get into the game and start going for those leaderboards. Top 100 on a daily doesn't seem too unreasonable, but top 10 could be pretty tough

I was skeptical of the card-based stuff to begin with, but now that I've played it some I like it as well. Can't wait to get my hands on 2.5 HD when it comes out.

 
I have a feeling it'll be much harder to get into Pix's Top 10 after the first few days as more people download it and get better at it over time. So that means I'll just have to secure that trophy ASAP.

Me too. I loved 1 when it came out, but I thought 2 was way better (I'm pretty sure I'm in the minority here, but oh well) and now I have a hard time playing 1 because of some of the gameplay tweaks. I'm really looking forward to finally playing Birth By Sleep in the 2.5 release.

And I had the same thing when I first saw the gameplay of KH:CoM way back when, but it is actually pretty sweet.

That's awesome!!!! Glad to see someone take notice and actually think it's cool that you are going for the trophies, since most devs don't care about trophies...

Also, I know SoM trophies are easy to obtain, but I think that they are perfect! Not too difficult, but you still have to put in the work, and they are a perfect mix of collectibles, side missions, and main story missions with NO ONLINE. They make you try out every aspect of the game and I think that is what trophies should make you do!

 
I almost hate the Orioles now. But I'll get over it. Maybe it's not their fault, but I'd probably have been better off not being in this "pre-sale" where everybody and their brother and sister are able to get tickets to game 2. I'll try again for the World Series if we make it through the ALCS, though. Or maybe I'll pay big bucks on stub hub. I don't know. Just don't freaking know.

That trophy is why I knew I was not going to be playing this game. I like leader boards as you can see where you stand (assuming they do not get hacked as seemingly always happens). However, if it has to do with the trophies, no thanks. I am all for hard goals where I can continue to play and get better to conquer my own issues with getting a certain score. I have no desire to have to keep playing more and more to try and get better than other people. This is the main reason why I hate competitive MP type games in general, but this to me is even worse. It is the reason why I am not playing Rayman Legends even though Origins was one of my favorite games on PS3. In fact, I played it on Vita as well. I will likely eventually play it on the Wii U sometime after it gets super cheap.

 
PixDev hinted that we should pay attention to when the daily leaderboard resets. I assume that it means that the trophy is for actually making the top 10, not retaining it for the full 24 hours.

Sharing this information with everyone since I did just say that anyone that cheats at something like this is a gigantic fuck ing loser and that would've been unfair (although hilarious) for me to hold on to.

I agree about the annoyance of leaderboards, especially for Rayman Legends (*shudder*), but at least Pix requires you to just place in the Top 10/100, not be #1.
