Hunters may not have been true metroid, but it was great. That and the Dementium series are cream of the crop for showcasing how well FPS can work on the DS hardware, both control wise and framerate.Metroid Prime Hunters?!

I was reacting more to MPH being the only Metroid game SJD played rather than criticizing its quality.Hunters may not have been true metroid, but it was great. Try them. Some of the best games available on the DS. Moon plays great too, it just feels devoid of any personality.What.
I thought SJD was implying that MPH's controls and framerate weren't exactly its strong points...?Try them. Some of the best games available on the DS. Moon plays great too, it just feels devoid of any personality.
Yeah I think only once did I trade a game without the case and manual (if included). And that was about a month ago I traded Lego Hobbit in a paper sleeve. It was part of a PS3 bundle and came in a cardboard sleeve which I was afraid would confuse the BB drones. I will say once or twice I have swapped out the case though if another game I had and was keeping had a busted case.I hate you and people like that. I could never do that. Sorry.
It is quite ridiculous how much more polished, improved, and fun Infamous 2 is compared to the first, so you have no reason to worry.guys, I'm afraid that the first infamous is very mediocre. I like it just fine, but I hope the second one is a little more engaging. the stunts are a nuisance, but I'm glad that I got all but three done before I left neon.

I try to avoid getting any plats for games I don't really like. I did however plat trivial pursuit to see if I could do it before I sent it off for an amazon flip.So nobody here is that desperate for plats, right?

...Except for Gator, maybe, though I wouldn't be all that surprised if he already has the plats for those.
The question is how much improved is Second Son in comparison to 2, fun wise. #deepreflections @VagIt is quite ridiculous how much more polished, improved, and fun Infamous 2 is compared to the first, so you have no reason to worry.
It is just a pain in the balls. I would like the original box. You don't know till you get there it is just the disc. But honestly IOK, that's fair. But again, they can see the game before they buy it. I've traded to GS like once, one near me is picky asand dock you for not being complete. And I'm not a case hoarder lol, I may have traded 10 games lifetime, mostly to Best Buy. I just can't stand buying the game later and getting that red case, so I usually swap them out if I have one.
It's not really much of a question--I thought Second Son was more fun than 2, but the difference wasn't as substantial as going from Infamous to Infamous 2.The question is how much improved is Second Son in comparison to 2, fun wise. #deepreflections @Vag
It's totally not that hard to call the store beforehand and ask if the game you want comes with the original case and manual. I do that quite often. It is just a pain in the balls. I would like the original box. You don't know till you get there it is just the disc. But honestly IGS and try not to shop there unless there is a deal to good to pass up.
Yeah, you don't quite feel the same quality leap. That said, I did like the evil story of Delsin better than any story out of the three main inFamous. It's not really much of a question--I thought Second Son was more fun than 2, but the difference wasn't as substantial as going from Infamous to Infamous 2.
I have played all 3 and for some reason the second one never really clicked for me I beat it twice I think but didn't do much else and sold it. I am replaying the first one and it is a more complete game IMO. More side missions and stuff. But certainly no where near as pretty. I am trying to get the platinum but not sure if I will hunt down all the shards or not. Going to give it a try though. The question is how much improved is Second Son in comparison to 2, fun wise. #deepreflections @Vag
Not worth it to me. I don't believe half of what they say anyway. It's totally not that hard to call the store beforehand and ask if the game you want comes with the original case and manual. I do that quite often.
The GS stores in my area have some pretty cool employees who recognize me, so I guess it depends on them. Not worth it to me. I don't believe half of what they say anyway.
I have a main store that I use, but they recently got an employee who pulled a nasty one with me, saying they didn't accept the PS4 earbuds. I did my transaction and was pretty cool, so I didn't even file a bad survey. His attitude warranted it, since he outright lied saying they didn't take it, even using his years of tenure as evidence. Went in another day, one of the employees that do know me did the trade, smooth as butter. The GS stores in my area have some pretty cool employees who recognize me, so I guess it depends on them.
Yeah there are 3 GS stores I go to occasional and a 4th near my parents. I don't go often enough to any of them to have any sort of rapport with them. Sometimes when I am out at the mall I will stop in but otherwise don't go to GS too often. I seldom make a specific trip for it. Unless I am trading something or flipping games and don't care about the cases. I have always got case a few really beat up though. The GS stores in my area have some pretty cool employees who recognize me, so I guess it depends on them.

I see your signature of what you're playing hasn't been updated. I've been spending a lot of time playing Towerfall Ascension and Mario Kart 8 couch coop. Man those games are like the height of couch gaming. Not sure why I clicked this. Pretty much a confluence of everything that is wrong with this site.
IDK how people can abuse that "rental" shit with a straight face. I'd bust out laughing at the register knowing what my intentions were.
I have Hunters and know it's supposed to be good but dem controls doe. Could. Not. Do it. Same with Kid Icarus. Something about using the stylus as the primary input bugs me. Couldn't get into the DS Zeldas either. I wish Nintendo had just skipped it and commissioned another 2D Metroid. Fusion is brilliant.
Sweet, I just got $10 for Borderlands 2. Here we come, PS4Sold Red Faction Armageddon for $10 shipped. Another one off the backlog.

Even though I bought Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD and Kingdom Hearts HD this month, I've sold 2 backlogged games and finished 7 others. So still good progress on that front. Should have the backlog in the 20s or 30s by the time I'm ready to buy a PS4. I'd be comfortable with that.Sweet, I just got $10 for Borderlands 2. Here we come, PS4
If you try matches at night in 2x2, you are likely to get lucky and end up on a team with a level 99 bad ass. If you are even more lucky, you will have 2 noobs on the other team. That was how I ended up with that one. The guy on my team kicked the shit out of the other 2 guys and I just jumped around like a madman so they couldn't kill me.No problem. Only online trophy left for me is thating win without dying one. Hate that little shitter.
I do have them all. I have been in 6 - 2 month long trophy competitions at this point. There are not many easy games like that I have not played unless they are very recent or on PSN and have never been on a good sale.So nobody here is that desperate for plats, right?

I am not sure what you are talking about here. I agree the Gamestop rental is over used on this site, but where is it even mentioned in that post? The guy is talking about using all kinds of coupons, so why would he go through that hassle just to return the game? If it is later in the thread, then my apologies, but why in the hell would you waste time to read past the OP in that one?Not sure why I clicked this. I did point out how using coupons was a waste for rentals, though.Even if you were willing to play any of these, why waste a coupon on one? Just use Gamestop to "rent" whichever one you want, get the platinum within a week, and return the game with the original receipt.
You can find far, far, far better uses for a $5 off coupon.![]()
2 is far improved in pretty much every aspect I can think of. Plays better, there's more variety, the city actually feels somewhat like a city, and it looks great (yay for the absence of film grain, or whatever you want to call the weird filter that seems to be on top of the first game). I didn't care a ton for the first game until the last third or so when I finally got into it, but the second really blows it completely out of the water.guys, I'm afraid that the first infamous is very mediocre. I like it just fine, but I hope the second one is a little more engaging. the stunts are a nuisance, but I'm glad that I got all but three done before I left neon.
Yeah I tried 2x2 matches last night again around midnight. Did the kill count or whatever ones and every damn time I was the mid-level dude with a newbie facing off against two upper hundreds guys. Twas frustrating. I'll try again at some point and hope I get lucky. If you try matches at night in 2x2, you are likely to get lucky and end up on a team with a level 99 bad ass. Yeah, my bad.My name was mentioned in the post, so I went to read the link. Otherwise... fair question.
If its a low value game they probably chuck (or store) the boxes to save on shelf space. I was flipping through the cheap discs (was looking for the copy of bionic commando) and it was quite humorous to flip through the D's, the G's, the M's, and the N's, hello 99 cent copies of DJ heroes, guitar heroes, old maddens, old MLBs, and old NBA games that will never sell. If you ask they may give you a spare PS3 case from the backroom for free. He went in the backroom, got a DJ hero case that will never sell, pulled out the inserts and gave it to me for Bionic Commando.Nice. I also picked it up a few days ago on the strength of the demo. My disc is in decent shape, though.
I have to ask; why thedoes GS have so many games that are missing correct cases, covers, and manuals? Are there a bunch of retards out there that buy new games and then immediately throw away everything but the disc? I don't get it.
About every 1/3rd time I am flipping through the guide and see the show "Party Down South" is on, for a split second I think it is a sequel series to "Party Down" set in Mexico, then crushing disappointment sets in.First there was Hardcore Pawn, now there's Pawnography. What's next, a show called Double Pawnetration?

I liked the environment in 1 better then 2. I am at 12 of 21 stunts and have unlocked the bridge. Going to work more on the stunts and side missions before progressing the story too much more. I think I am upto mission 21 of 34 so I really need to work on the stunts and bioleach trophy.guys, I'm afraid that the first infamous is very mediocre. Ehh, I was being a bit of jerk since I think those games look bad. My bad. But, yes, I'm mostly referring to the later posts. Correct me if I'm wrong but returns count against the store. I do not know if they count against the store. I have actually had employees tell me you should just beat this in a week and return it for something else on multiple occasions. I thought that was odd, but they seem to advertise the policy so that customers take advantage of it. I do not understand why they would want to do that if someone was already buying. I could see them possibly using it as a sales tactic if someone was on the fence in hopes they don't bother returning it in time, but not announcing it to someone at the register with money in hand.Ehh, I was being a bit of jerk since I think those games look bad. I haven't tried Kid Icarus yet, but in the games I've mentioned the accuracy is spot on. You literally cannot be more accurate than simply touching the part of the screen you want to aim at. With some games the unconventional controls just click. I wasn't a fan of Metroid Prime on gamecube, but the rerelease on Wii with updated motion controls was a thoroughly enjoyable experience, especially considering I hadn't finished it originally.I have Hunters and know it's supposed to be good but dem controls doe.
