The way they word it implies that their is a lot more interest in the XB1/WiiU and PS4 interest dropped off significantly. Only using numbers to describe the PS4 drop off implies that XB1/WiiU interest is at that level or higher.

Whatever. You can be a fanboy all you want. 1 lousy sale will not redeem how utterly impotent PSPlus has been for the last 3 years. Whatever happened to free minis?? Sony pissing on the gamer with a good sale. All it does is highlight how bad they've been previous. Its like they took a shit on our porch, kicked our front door down, grabbed us by the nape of our necks and shoved our faces down into the shit demanding us to tell them if they ate corn on the cob last night or was it popcorn.

Yeah, what you and CtrlC are both saying. The only line to describe the interest level in the PS4 is it "fell below 30%". That phrase's placement in the line I quoted highly implies that PS4 is the lowest of the 3 and is absolutely misleading when you look at the graph and see it's about 6 percentage points higher than the Xbone and WiiU.

The bigger point is that should keep in mind both the age and intelligence level of its readership and community. They're both very low. They have no interest in questioning the article or referring to the source, they are far more interested in being the first to post the "Iwata rise from the dead" GIF. IGN needs to keep their readership demographics in mind and do their best not to mislead or misinform their readers.

Check out the comments to that article and see how long it takes to scroll down before you find someone who actually questions the data in the article.

I can verify that the Lion Tactics (or whatever that game is that nobody is playing) $5 off coupon for Gamestop does work on PSN cards. They told me they didn't think it would work because it didn't work on Xbone cards. I told them to try it anyway and it worked. So either this is more proof that the PS4 wins the war, or just that Gamestop employees are dumb. I think it could go either way.

I pre-ordered Rogue Legacy. PS+ in a month.

What were the games during last years Play promo? Have any of them made it to PSPlus? Or been on sale for dirt cheap? This Rogue Legacy looks/sounds good. Wondering if history will repeat itself as quickly as before.

Wow, seeing last years games is eye opening. Its giving me the slap of reality I needed. Pump the breaks on Rogue for sure.

Although it is for PS4 and I need PS4 games. But the graphics arent exactly a showcase. Ok, waiting for PSplus.

This could all be avoided if you didn't read IGN (I'm guessing you don't fall into either of the demographics you're referring to).

tyler, what do you think about linking the leaderboard in the OP?  I think we got almost everyone but there are probably a few stragglers and I'm sure new regulars will eventually pop up.

Just noticed that on true trophies there is one guy who wants to "boost" Pinball Arcade PS4. Maybe he's waiting for the PS4 feature that will let others play for you?

Since everyone has ctrlcthenctrlv'd their trophy scores, my top 6 gaming sites/channels (in no particular order):

I actually do enjoy IGN but like Tyler mentioned the comment section is an abomination. It's disgusting, actually. And a little factoid for allll the Ninty fans here: when it launched Nintendo Power became the publication (non-gaming included) to fastest reach 1 million subscribers.
 
Started the Destiny beta tonight for ps4. I liked what I played but not blown away...does it get markedly better after the 3rd story mission? Also I was surprised to find myself not liking Dinklage at all in this as I love him in GoT.
 
Bout to 100% Ground Zeroes. All I have left is to play the main mission on Hard, but it's taking me a long time because I'm just killing every guard I see and either hiding them or dumping their body into the ocean.

EDIT: fuck. I still have something else I gotta do.

There was also a PSN PLAY Vita promotion earlier this year with TxK, Dustforce, OlliOlli, and some stupid Dragon Ballz game. Can't speak for the DBZ game, but those other 3 just went on sale about 5 months later for 50% off. None of them on Plus yet.

On the opposite side of the coin, I only saved $3 each on TxK and Dustforce and about $4 on OlliOlli by waiting 5 months since they had 20% launch discounts. That's like saving 60-70 cents per month waiting. Is that really worth it? (It is for me because none of those games were "Must-Plays" for me and more than likely would have just sat in my backlog for the last 5 months anyway. Honestly I probably should have waited for 75% or Free on PS+)

Game Informer and Joystiq are the other 2 video game sites I read. Joystiq has gone way down hill since all their best guys left to start Polygon and their format has been slowly devolving to be less user friendly and more intrusive. Game Informer just isn't quick enough on most news stories, though I think they do the best job of presenting news without bias.

Polygon is click-bait hack garbage IMO. Probably not fair to judge every single article and writer based on a few terrible TERRIBLE articles and reviews they've done, but oh well. Life isn't fair. I mean, you did read their Mario Kart 8 sells expectation article, right? Ben Kuchera and Arthur Geis are two absolute idiots on social media as well. I feel like I'm justified in my distaste for their site.

I think this PS Play might be the best. Swapper, Rogue Legacy and Counterspy for me.  Indiestation 4 is kinda cool, I already have most of these games on steam though. I tweeted Roll7 when OlliOlli is coming to PS4.

It should be pretty great for you...aren't you only paying like $4 each? I'd do that too, as I dont care about the PS3 versions if the trophy lists aren't seperate, but I may want to play them on Vita instead of PS4.
