I noticed that as well. Given my work schedule, Matt and Zimm are sure to leave me in the dust. If I had a Vita I could do a little better.

Yeah, I pre-ordered Rogue so I figured I may as well get one more to get the $3 kickback, and that one was cheapest -and came with 15 easy silver trophies :)- I still have to download the game back to ps3 for the last five. No leaderboard spot runs lol, not intentionally anyways. Downloading Last of Us now.

That's too bad. You guys are the closest group of regular posters. I like watching it to see who makes a run between the 3 of you.

His score will fall over the next few weeks. Those trophies will likely lose half of their value once the DLC is more widely available.

I've not played 1 or 2 yet. Or Half-Life. I guess I should get on that.

Decided to switch to playing RL at work and Rainbow Moon at home while watching TV. RL is way too attention-consuming to play while paying attention to the TV at all. RM is perfect for that, though.

Man, the RL port is absolutely perfect so far. The game so much reminds me of classic 2d platforming.

Yeah I like the friendly competition. What's funny is I believe Zimm was the one who said we would definitely pull away from him, but he's smoking us right now.

the shaq fu is a weird cag tradition. old cag had a more robust filter to catch stuff like 'fucking' or even 'fuck' in quotes, but I guess tiredjohn hasn't had the time/willpower to try and doctor up the one in cag 3.0. so I add the space for nostalgia I guess, and because it amuses me.
 
Started the first 2 chapters in Dead Space last night, and yea that game is scary as hell. I didn't think a game could do that to me. I haven't decided if I'm going to stick with just one gun for that trophy on this playyhrough. Any suggestions? Am I missing out on using the other guns? Is it possible to do on impossible mode. I'd like to avoid a third play through for the plat.

Years ago at a game I had a ball bounce right near me and I grabbed the ball from under a seat. But others were trying to grab it too and another guy took the damn thing right out of my hand and then held it up for all to see. I should wear spiked gloves. If I catch one tonight I will give it to my kids. So, yeah.

MUT is terrible. I don't know how its stuck around in these games.
 
I haven't enjoyed a sports game since probably Cyberball (arcade). And that baseball game that had a spring loaded bat. That was awesome. And John Elway Football or whatever it was called. Whichever one of those was last.

 
I'm fine with the mode overall for some people because it is like fantasy sports, but making super difficult trophies that are almost luck based and easily cheated for some is just plain dumb!

You don't really have to on a lot of the other games. That is why they made 380 million from it. If you keep buying packs you can get most of them for most of the games.

True but with FIFA I didn't spend a cent, and got the trophy pretty quickly, it has always been much easier than the other games. NHL is by far the hardest, then Madden, then FIFA, and up until 14 NCAA

Yeah I don't know how that happened. Like I said before, Walking Dead trophies helped, as well as the quick Lego LOTR plat. I thought I was gonna be busy with the Muramasa grind, but other shit distracted me, to the betterment of my short-term TT score.

I did my one playthrough so far with only the one gun and it was fine. Though I felt I was missing out as well not using the other awesome sounding shit. The thing that has me stalling on a second playthrough for the plat is that damn fucking
asteroid blasting
sequence in chapter four or so. If I could get that I may be more inclined to play it again. But yeah that shit was freaky and made me nervous.

Dead space is such a good game. If I were you, make your second playthrough your one gun run on impossible mode. You will know where all the ambushes are and it shouldn't be too bad. I need to find a block of time to start and finish Dead Space 2. I don't want to start it, put it down for a few months, and then forget everything for speedrun playthrough.

You talking about the first Dead Space? I seem to remember doing the one gun playthrough on the hardest difficulty myself. It wasn't that bad because only having one gun is actually an efficient way to play it (just sell all non needed ammo and buy the correct type, you should have enough ammo to make it through all encounters). There are just a few enemies where using the plasma cutter is kind of annoying, but for the most part it gets the job done.

That said, definitely do another playthrough where you use other weapons. I actually hardly ever used the flamethrower. The Ripper (I think that's what its called) I used a lot, though.

I did my one gun run on the first playthrough.  I really have no idea if one is better than the other, but it seemed to work well for getting a lot of stomps early on with the easier enemies.

Yea, working on Madden 12 and it was perfect, still has MUT trophies, but just completion trophies I can do on my own.

 
I only want to make one run to bestBuy, so I think i will wait to pick up The Last of Us tomorrow after i plat Watch Dogs either tonight or tomorrow morning.

It's gonna be Thursday before I even get a chance to turn on my PS3 more than likely. Probably 90% of my gaming takes place Thursday through Saturday, so if you're getting trophies today and tomorrow as well then it'll be tough for me to catch up those 3 days.

I'm looking into getting a small/cheap TV for the bedroom, so I could play at least 30 minutes a night during the week. Although this would cut into my PS4 fund, so I haven't made a decision yet.

Been watching TV prices myself. Holding out for BF though. Dell has been trying to break me for at least 4 months, but I won't let it. No idea though if I'll be in a trophy earning mood the next few days, so you'll probably pass me back naturally without doing anything.

maybe I'm a gigantic wiener, but I'm doing my one gun run on my first playthrough (still) because it gave me less things to deal with. between the running, melee, kinesis, gun, and the tension I just didn't want anything else to contend with. it's worked well for me now since I can stop for 4 months and come back and not have to relearn what weapons are good for what situations.

I would settle with something in the 20" range if I could get it cheap enough, since I'd still be doing the majority of my gaming on the bigger TV in the living room.

The Plasma Cutter is really the only worthwhile gun in the game. I was actually disappointed how lackluster all the other weapons were, but the Cutter is so awesome it mostly made up for it.

 
Yeah, I got a sweet 20 inch 1080p monitor that I picked up from Dell like...7 years ago. It works amazingly well. I used to have it as a PC monitor, but realized that was a complete waste as I don't ever have anything on PC that needs good resolution. So I downgraded the monitor and have used my Dell as my gaming monitor for the past 5 years.

Hmmm not working for me? Found the team, went to their trophy case and then went to every other menu I could find and no trophies.
