This was frustrating me as well. I ended up streaming a little bit of the SP and then went back to the mp. Finally got into a couple of matches but it did take awhile. On the last match, I was the last man left on my team. Got bum rushed by 3 guys and subsequently tbagged by all 3 to end the match. That's the closest my streams will ever come to a Velo production.

Gonna play in the morning? We'll probably get destroyed allowing matches with parties but I ain't scared. Won't really matter... I had to "allow parties" tonight just to find a match.

The mp works surprisingly well over remote play by the by.
 
So Montezuma Arena is really pretty sweet.  Like I just said, you can amass 10 lives for free and a new life refreshes every 7 minutes. This is WAY more generous than the only other F2P game I've played on Vita, Crazy Market. So far my battles have been 3 to 4 minutes long, but I assume as I get deeper into the story mode the battles will get longer and I'll basically have a new life every time I finish a battle.

The enemy AI is really stupid so far.  I'm really not very far in, maybe battle 25 out of 100 or so.  But the AI doesn't always make the best moves.  I'm wondering if that will change when I get deeper into the game.  I haven't lost yet, had one close call (down to 1 HP) but was able to save myself and win.

One thing I LOVE about the game is that there is no "free turns".  In the Puzzle Quest games both you and your enemy could get free turns when you matched 4 or 5 jewels in the game.  This fucking sucked when enemies got waterfalls and could basically rape you with blind luck.  None of that here, no free turns at all.  It's so fuck ing wonderful.

I haven't used and "Bonuses" or "Items", which are the micro-transactions within the game, though you can also buy them with crystals that you earn in-game.  Haven't needed them so far.  

I haven't really looked into backtracking/grinding.  I'm assuming it's possible but can't guarantee it.  But usually these type of games let you re-play battles to gain small amounts of XP if you'd prefer to do that instead of pay for microtransactions.

Overall it's been a very enjoyable game.  Got two bronzes so far.

Thanks a ton for this. I was planning to pick up Minecraft PS3 with GCU before the PS4 release for the $5 upgrade. A free $25 is much better than saving $4. I actually just ordered my Power A PS4 controller charger with this same gift card promo yesterday. For someone reason that one let me choose next day shipping for no additional cost but this one I had to go standard.

I browsed through some PS3 and 3DS games earlier looking for something worth biting on but overlooked Minecraft somehow so thanks again. I appreciate it.

Very good deal, but as far as I know Mojang/4J Studios haven't confirmed that you can upgrade to the PS4 version of Minecraft for $5 from the PS3 disc version, which you can do from the Xbox 360 disc version for whatever reason.

Just a heads up for those that may want it on PS4 also.

 
Additionally, Mojang is offering an upgrade scheme; if you own the digital version of Minecraft PS3, you’ll be able to pick up the PS4 version for a small fee rather than the full cover price.

 
Oh well. I don't see why they wouldn't but I suppose I'll find out. Either way I'm down for picking it up for the PS3. I haven't touched the game since I abandoned my 360 and have been missing it. Have a few friends I can link up with.

 
Got down to 347 out of 350 shards in Infamous.  Decided to take a break from it.  Becoming a bit too much of a chore.  Fired up Injustice Gods Among Us and got up to Chapter 4.  It is pretty fun so far.  I suck at fighting games though.  Wonder if I will be able to beat this one or not.

Cool to see so many people getting into Rogue Legacy. I have about 10 hours on the PC version and I think it's ok. Nowhere near as good as Spelunky or Isaac though imo. My biggest gripe with it is that is becomes extremely grindy really fast because of the ability to upgrade your character. So I end up easily doing the first three areas of RL just to grind gold until I level up enough to start going for the next part. I was pretty sick of doing the castle after a couple hours.

 
Injustice PS4 for $8.40 last week was dope. So were a few of the stoner special games. I have limited memory capacity, but that was definitely this past week. Probably some other decent weeks in there too, negative Nancy.

Haha, I could do nothing but laugh if that were the case. The other option would be cry or break something. Pertaining to Last of Us of course. Destiny would be welcome. If that happened, I'd even PLAY the fucking mini's that accompany it.

 
At chapter 9 of Uncharted (a bit less than halfway). To The Tower. I'm still really enjoying it. It's weird the way they have Elena acting, though. It's like ND thinks women are real people, or something. idgi

I hate bejeweled because there's no meta-game, it's just high scores or whatever. But games like Montezuma Arena and Puzzle Quest are awesome because they're not about high scores and have light RPG elements mixed in.

Seriously. Feels like I choose a different camera for almost every table. As a fairly casual fan, it's a huge pain in the ass.
