We evaluated the EA Access subscription offering and decided that it does not bring the kind of value PlayStation customers have come to expect," a Sony representative said to Game Informer. "PlayStation Plus memberships are up more than 200% since the launch of PlayStation 4, which shows that gamers are looking for memberships that offer a multitude of services, across various devices, for one low price. We don't think asking our fans to pay an additional $5 a month for this EA-specific program represents good value to the PlayStation gamer.
I was confused about the reference to 1 at first since that's not in the HD collection. You meant the PS1 version, I guess?I might go for it myself, but it would have to be 2 playthroughs as well. Played 4 first way back when, then 1 and 2 when the HD Collection came out. Thinking about playing through 4 again now that it has trophies once I've finished 3 and Peace Walker, if I have time.
They're certainly not wrong. It's a bad value.A couple sites out there are reporting that Sony actually turned down EA's Access program.
woohoo!oh and I FINALLY got the Plat in Watch Dogs, it is going back to Best Buy when I pick up TLOU tonight!
Did you do a comparison yourself how the game's 60 FPS compare to the 30 FPS in multiplayer? I heard reports its better, but with the typical ND slowness. No benefit to not spending parts match. Buy armor every time you can. EVERYTIME. Night and day difference.
Yeah, I guess I should have been more clear. I grabbed the HD collection before the Legacy collection came out, so I grabbed MGS 1 from the PSN Store since I wanted to start at the beginning (of the Solid series that is, not all the way back to the beginning of Metal Gear). It still holds up really well to this day.I was confused about the reference to 1 at first since that's not in the HD collection. You meant the PS1 version, I guess?
I do owe you. Thanks for the tip on the EASHL trophies.Zimm, if you add trophies woo for a GM connected league and I add you, you can get the 5 person trophy. You owe me!![]()
I guess you mean from a gameplay perspective. I can't imagine playing a game this ugly even with 1080p rendering. It's even worse without that from the gameplay videos I found. Maybe on my Vita it'd be small enough to not look horrendous.Yeah, I guess I should have been more clear. If you can't get past the graphics I wouldn't bother, but it seriously doesn't detract from the gameplay at all. Top notch voice acting for it's time as well.I guess you mean from a gameplay perspective. I can't imagine playing a game this ugly even with 1080p rendering. I watched it for the first time a few days before the TV series started in case there were any connections / references (there were a few) and I thought it was OK, I'm not sure where all the high praise of "American Masterpiece" comes from. I thought the TV series was a lot better (though it did stumble a little in the last few episodes)..watched Fargo today, way different then I thought it would be, but overall a decent movie and funny in a dark way?
Or your PS3 yellow lights.11.8 hours until I'm rank 100 in GTA V.
guess I need to research - is there anything that's:Somehow I missed this post until CAiNiAC quoted it. Must be because you had me seeing red this morning.
Justing with you, I didn't think you did bad. Not any worse than me anyway. We're pretty much in the same boat. I'd also like to know if there's any point in holding onto your parts instead of spending them in match.... do they add more credit at the end of the match if you don't spend them? Having a lot of fun with it though and I think it will hold my interest for the most part until Destiny.
And I need to make sure you understand the longer you keep this "no mic" business up the closer you get to being thrown in the rpg/snakey category.
I don't know if you like indies, but if you do, take a deep breath and plunge into that wonderful madness thinking it is one. Had I not played the MGS demo on PS1, I would be a Breakfuss today.I guess you mean from a gameplay perspective. I can't imagine playing a game this ugly even with 1080p rendering. is this like a spreadsheet where you should back out and save every now and again or you'll lose it? because if so, you're undoubtedly due for a power outage.11.8 hours until I'm rank 100 in GTA V.
Hasn't everyone established that the Golds meet all this criteria?guess I need to research - is there anything that's:
- wireless
- not cumbersome (i.e. light on the noggin)
- works with ps3 and ps4
I don't wanna be in the rpg/snakey category!
u can play it at 11gb.I downloaded Last Of Us Remastered last night, I noticed it was only 11GB?
I'm not an idiot who locks their PS3 in a cabinet and leaves it on for six months and wonders why it overheats. I have it out in the open, properly ventilated and the AC keeping it a cool 67 in the room it's in. It's been on since Friday without stopping and it's not even blowing out warm air.Or your PS3 yellow lights.
they just look so big. if I had my way I'd have tiny little ear buds - primarily because I can't block everything out in the morning, gotta listen for the kids waking up.Hasn't everyone established that the Golds meet all this criteria?
Good point. I could fire up Dolphin for that. It actually aged really well, too:Thermo, you could also try tracking down Twin Snakes if you have the means to play it. It's a remake of MGS 1.
The game saves to a server, so I wouldn't lose anything if it happened. Social club shows my current rank as what it says in the game.is this like a spreadsheet where you should back out and save every now and again or you'll lose it? because if so, you're undoubtedly due for a power outage.
In a perfect world, this would've been in the HD Collection.Good point. I could fire up Dolphin for that. It actually aged really well, too:
Kind of what I figured but is there a way to keep downloading the rest of it without playing it? Or it downloads when you boot it up?u can play it at 11gb.
Yeah, too bad on that. Not sure why they didn't do it.In a perfect world, this would've been in the HD Collection.
An exclusive deal with Nintendo, maybe?Yeah, too bad on that. Not sure why they didn't do it.
I read your name as Breakfuss for a moment. Crisis averted, though.Oh and Nintendo posted a $97 million loss, even with the sales of Mario Kart 8. Some sites are saying that it looks like the total number of MK8 copies is right in line with the number of Wii U's sold, so it's appearing that MK8 wasn't the system seller Nintendo was hoping for.
But yeah, they're still doinging awesome.
How often do you eat eggs with a ton of country crock in them with pudding for dessert? Other than some leftover spaghetti, that is the only food I see in there. Also, I hope that is ranch dressing and not mayonnaise.Don't hate. I have some normal human food in my fridge!

You drink tequila, but do not like whiskey because it burns? WTMF?Southern comfort is whiskey? I don't like whiskey, it burns
I pretty much stick to beer and tequila now.
Granted it's been almost two years since I had a drink so who knows what I like now and what will agree with me when I do drink. Guess I'll find out in about 3 to 4 more months.
"That was a remake made by Silicone Knights. We supervised it but we didn’t create it directly and we wanted to make sure that everything in the HD Collection was canon. Everything that goes into there is something created directly by Kojima Productions and Kojima himself. So that is the reason why Twin Snakes was not included in HD Collection."Yeah, too bad on that. Not sure why they didn't do it.
Kojima is finnicky sometimes. He owns the property, so there should be something in there about it reverting to Konami/him. Silicon Knights doesn't even exist anymore. And it looks like a very restrictive deal, since he didn't use the Twin Snakes assets for the flashbacks in MGS4.An exclusive deal with Nintendo, maybe?
Well no, Breakfuss would post about the loss and somehow say it's a great business tactic and then talk about how they sold a billion NES's 30 years ago.I read your name as Breakfuss for a moment. Crisis averted, though.
That said, did you see the photo depicting the insane money Nintendo made with the DS and Wii? They basically are on par with all their other generations combined. Holy shit.Well no, Breakfuss would post about the loss and somehow say it's a great business tactic and then talk about how they sold a billion NES's 30 years ago.
Looks like a nice month. Interested on the PS4 and Vita titles. Plus, cross-buy.PS+ August NA
PS4: Road Not Taken, Fez
PS3: Crysis 3, Proteus
Vita: Metrico, Dragon's Crown
Especially since those are both day 1 ps+. I love that!I knew I wouldn't have to pay for Fez! HAHA. Sweet on Dragon's Crown! Don't have any of these so I'm cool with the list, although PS3 kind of sucks. Oh and Metrico + Road Not Taken looks cool too.
Tyler's going to be happy. I am less so (own physical copies of Crysis 3 and Dragon's CrownPS+ August NA
