The only thing I remember hating about GoW 2 is it does that super annoying thing that some games do, that you start the game and can play with everything unlocked and then they strip it all away in the first level.

Gave you a like because I didn't even think to buy thumbstick covers. Just ordered some from Amazon for $5, hope they help. I have two DS4s... one is fine, one the left thumbstick rubber is coming off.

I gave you a like for giving him a like. Mine seem to be OK, but I have a friend who has the whole grip part coming undone (like, the bottom half of the controller). No Last of Us yet?

 
Sorry if this has already been mentioned, but I read that Sony is making Dragons Crown cross buy for august. So, we get PS3 version if accurate. I wont put link as it is from Polygon. I seem to remember that site is a no no around here.

Haven't started it yet either, been playing stupid Rogue Legacy because I can't stop for some reason. I think I'll just wait for the weekend and play all weekend long to make up for it. (except for those boost sessions). Pretty sure snakey already beat Last of Us by now, on to the next.

 
I haven't been playing Last of Us as much, been playing some indie games on Steam and Rogue Legacy on PS4. Also, that Guardians pinball table is great and only 3 bucks

HBO should throw the cash they're wasting on the Newsroom episodes over to Boardwalk Empire so we can get a proper final season. 8 episodes and a damn 7-year leap (prohibition will have ended). Good show, though. Haven't seen Michael Shannon in any of the promos. This went up Monday (presumably some spoilers for those not caught up) -

First one is decent, though in that post I linked you I had one that was almost identical for about $150 less.

Second one is also decent for what you want to do with it, but again the one you linked is overpriced for what it is.

Stay away from the last one; you don't want anything with a single core.

EDIT: sorry, got the order backwards. First is crap; last is good but overpriced.

Both of my controllers are fine but I've heard of this problem from a few people. The DS4 controller is such an improvement over the DS3 but stories of peeling thumbsticks sucks to hear.

The two things that bothered me about GoW 2 were the fact that enemies could be hit but still continue their attacks interrupted (while you could not) and the shit constant QTEs. I wouldn't even mind the QTEs as much if they were consistent; tons of times I died because the QTE showed up in the lower left corner instead of the center where I was watching for it. The game's use of the QTE mechanic becomes nothing other than a memorization game where you have to step through each sequence until you don't die. That really robs the whole epic scene of Kratos ripping a monster in half, IMO; I'd much rather it just play through then go back to normal combat afterwards.

tl;dr; QTEs are bullshit and monsters are meanies.
