That's an IGN review, so probably not.

But I should probably finish Brotherhood first.
In the same boat...was just playing a bit last night; that game is so freaking big!

So apparently my local library has thrown their "only add M-rated games to the catalog if they receive stellar reviews [their words, not mine]" policy out the window because they now carry Sniper Elite III and XBlaze Code: Embryo for some reason.
I hate you and your fancy game carrying libraries. Mine hasn't even gotten to graphic novels yet.

Eh. Both CA movies had the same problem; they start well, try to make a play for characterization, then a little ways in they say "fuck it" and just run a bunch of poorly-strung action scenes against a poorly-defined enemy that you don't care about at all. Hugo Weaving was completely wasted and the second movie didn't even have a real villain character.

Edit: Thinking about it now, I can't even remember the villain even though I saw it a month ago. That's how bad the second movie was.

Edit2: Just remembered. Yeah, that was a crap villain too. So pointless and obvious.
Hugo should've been Ultron or Thanos. Marvel, you done fucked up.

Speaking of Marvel I finally watched The Amazing Spider-Man 2 over the weekend. I was really letdown.
That movie was shit. The Rhino was so bad it was laughable. A mech suit really? Paul Giamatii? Lame. I thought Jamie Foxx was mis-cast as Electro but once he became Electro it seemed to work out well enough. After all that though it felt like he was barely in the movie.  Then they go back to the whole Osbourn thing again...and he looks like a weasely twisted elf? I'd say Andrew Garfield is a better Spider-Man than Tobey and I like that he's wise-cracking like the comics but his Peter Parker needs to be toned down a bit. Not to mention all those scenes of him in his room, with Gwen, and his aunt. Oh and the super secret subway lab...really? WTF?

Im just watching out. Be careful. Id keep an eye on that thread. One guy already mentioned getting burned on the rebate for the "wrong model."
I think it is sold out by now but either way I would have waited for Best Buy or Amazon to have a decent sale. TigerDirect has a pretty bad rep and seems a bit shady to me. Rather not lay out all the money and then wait and hope for a $50 rebate anyway regardless of who is selling it.

The DC animated universe (Batman The Animated Series through Justice League Unlimited) is the pinnacle of comic book entertainment for me (though Marvel could very well dethrone it with the roll they are on). Since I watched all those cartoons growing up I have a much deeper understanding of DC than Marvel. It would be something special if they could pull off what Marvel is now, but they can't really get it together.

I think it needs to be said again, Spider-Man movies are not Marvel movies. You can blame Sony for that one.

fuck your goddamn library. What kind of library is this exactly?? Do they feed you and have free access to a movie theater as well?

I heard that the animated DC movies are actually pretty violent and well done. I haven't really watched any of them though.
My favorites of the new wave starting in 2007 are Batman: Under the Red Hood (which I think is my overall favorite), All-star Superman, Superman vs. The Elite, The Dark Knight Returns complete, and Justice League: Flashpoint Paradox.

I can't really pinpoint why I dislike Superman so much, but I do. Maybe it's the obnoxious suit he wears.
He is kinda bland, has so many super powers, and has only one niche, very rare weakness, he's basically a God.

Watched Son of Batman last night, it's ok.

I know but ugh, between them and Activision Spidey is getting a raw deal.

Assassin's Creed: Rogue cinematic trailer :)roll:):

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bjSy5kF6io0

From IGN:

You'll play Shay Patrick Cormac, a Templar tasked with thinning the Assassin's ranks. As expected, you'll be sailing around the Northern Atlantic Ocean in a ship called the Morrigan, as well as exploring New York and the Appalachian River Valley.

Intriguingly, Cormac's story will apparently tie into the Kenway family saga that started in Assassin's Creed 3 before continuing in Black Flag, though it'll also tie into the upcoming Assassin's Creed Unity. The game takes place against a backdrop of The Seven Years' War, which has direct ties to the French Revolution.

Assassin's Creed Rogue is being worked on by Ubisoft Sofia, in collaboration with Ubisoft’s Singapore, Montreal, Quebec, Chengdu, Milan and Bucharest studios. A worldwide release date of November 11 has also been confirmed.

Hmmm...Metrico reviews aren't amazing either.  Sounds like they caught a case of GoldenAbyss-itis, where they think every possibly input the Vita can accept must be used.

I'm still downloading and playing both Metrico and Road Not Taken tonight.  I may stream some Road.

I think I'm gonna head on out to the local library this afternoon, heard they were serving prime rib and baked potatoes tonight, for their showing of Guardians of the Galaxy in iMax 3D. Think I'll rent Watch Dogs and UFC for PS4 on my way out.

Hardy-har. At least I can do that last thing.

All the Metrico trophies are hidden trophies. That's fun.
I remember them not being hidden when rpg (I think?) posted the Exophase link to those trophies.

All major US cities should tear down all of their sports stadiums and build libraries in their place.

I almost talked myself into buying TLOU remastered yesterday. After I read you could basically get all SP trophies by playing easy first and then Survivor+/Grounded+ with everything unlocked thanks to easy, I was on the very edge.

I wouldn't want to embarrass you Snakey, since you've obviously put some time into it already.

Agreed, down with it all. Libraries are the future.

Are they serving food in the library because they gotta feed homeless people like u matt?
Homeless...with a PS4? Not sure how that would work exactly. All the homeless people do live at my local library though, they turn it into a craphole with empty 40's and lottery tickets thrown everywhere. Mooch off the restrooms and water fountains when they're open. But I dont think they have access to power for their PS4's.

From the GI article on AC Rogue:

Rogue places fans in the shoes of a Templar, controlling former Assassin-turned-Templar Shay Patrick Cormac.

Wow, I get to play two AC games this year. I'm so lucky.

Who needs sleeping pills when u got AC games!

I wouldn't dream of it.

Huh. I don't think I like that, unless there's some mid-to-endgame twist that puts you back on the side of the Assassins. :whistle2:k
I don't think I do either. I didn't like it when
in AC 3 it was revealed Haytham was a Templar
.
