I'm tempted by FFX/X-2. I've never played those games before. Can't decide between Vita and PS3, though...probably Vita is the better choice, tbh, since I'm trying to clear my PS3 backlog and those are both big games. Plus there's the convenience of an RPG you can put down any time, and some kind of heal mechanic on the Vita that's supposedly great.

Hmm.

I think it needs to be said again, Spider-Man movies are not Marvel movies. You can blame Sony for that one.
Not sure how up-to-date or accurate this is but yeah.

Do I need to join Exophase to see them? They're all labeled "Hidden Trophy" for me, even if I have the option to show hidden trophies. :???:
The developer didn't want people viewing the trophies ahead of release and asked us to remove them. However now that the game is officially out on PSN I've enabled viewing again. Sorry about that!

I'm playing FFX right now on PS3, I'm thinking about getting it for vita as well because it'll help me beat it faster. And handheld idea appeals to me

Yeah, I'll probably grab it for Vita. Though I do have a ton of RPGs on my Vita already so now it's just a decision of now or wait until the FF sale early next year.

Here's the list of Vita and PSP and PS1 RPGS in my backlog:

PS1:

FF Origins (will probably just play the anniversary editions instead)

FFV

FFIX

Legend of Dragoon

Wild Arms

Wild Arms 2

PSP:

Cladun

Class of Heroes

Crimson Gem Saga

FFIII

FFIV

FFT:WotL

Gods Eater Burst

Growlanser

Gungnir

Hexyz Force

Jeanne d'Arc

Monster Hunter Freedom Unite

P3P

Tactics Ogre

Trails in the Sky

Valkyria Chronicls II

Wild Arms XF

Ys Chronicles

Ys Seven

Ys Oath

Vita:

Dragon Fantasy Book II

Persona 4: Golden

Rainbow Moon

Though looking it over the vast majority of this is from PSP...adding another game to Vita can't hurt, right?  :D/  :whistle2:  :D/  :wall:  :wall:

Oh, and I had my Rogue Legacy at that first remix boss for the whole day, playing off and on during downtime at work, but I just wasn't getting it. Once work ended, I sat down and gave it a couple good tries, and it didn't take me long at all. Not only did it not take me long, but when I did end up beating him, I did so without taking damage.

FFT: War of the Lions is buggy, right? I'm tempted to get it just so I can finally (eventually) experience the updated version of FFT.

Also, Front Mission 3 is mine.

It's not buggy. The deliberately slowed the speed of the skill animations, though. Here's a demonstration of that:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bMvrZjhw72U

All skills are affected, including throwing rocks, using potions, etc.. Some people it doesn't bother, others find it unplayable. If you have a hacked Vita you can play a patched version of the game with that fixed, but otherwise if you think it'll be an issue then pass I guess.

I've never played a FM game. Curious about 3 at that price, though.

Thanks. That actually doesn't look too bad. Now I'll have to think about getting that, too.

I'm not sure what to do with FFX/X-2 on sale for $19.99--I ordered their import Vita versions online 2-3 months ago so I could have physical copies of both games (plus better cover art IMO), but FFX-2 hasn't arrived yet (long story) and I just got FFX last Friday. At this point, I'll probably get a refund for FFX-2, but I'll have paid ~$27 for just FFX with better box art vs. $19.99 for both games in digital format through this PSN sale.

What to do...? :whistle2:k

Beat the last boss in RL!  137 children in 12:53.  I would've thought for sure those numbers would be higher since it seemed like for some of the bosses I was just throwing an endless number of my corpses at their feet

You know what is really annoying? Renting Resistance: Burning Skies from gamefly and getting all the trophies except 1 stupid online trophy that requires a $10 online pass to play one round of multiplayer. Oh, and the fact that the game was about as generic as any game I have ever played.
Ditto God of War Ascension

Maybe we should discuss whether or not Chrono Trigger should be bought on PSN or DS.
It'll be more fun to just troll the other PSN thread about FF and CT and such.

And damn, did anyone else see there was basically 4 questions/comments in a row about when the store updates. Jesus...

I should do character bios in the OP as things about us pop up.

Something like,

Laundrymatt:

Likes bugs

Cainiac:

Likes Putty Squad

Hates Pineapple

handsomepete:

Works for Bugles

Snakey:

On Sex Offender Registry

ProfessorStotch:

Gigantic Asshole

Hmmm....Final Fantasy III or IV for the Vita? Tempting to play through Chrono Trigger or Chrono Cross again as well.

$9.99 for FF XIII-2. (I never played FF XIII, but that seems like a decent price)

Front Mission 3 was great fun. Turn based customizable  giant robot battling. Decent story as well, if I remember. (Front Mission 4, not so much)

IV is a fantastic game. It's still my favorite FF. Rather linear, though, so if that's not your thing it may be an issue (I like linear.)

II and III are generally regarded as the worst of the series. I've not played either yet, though.

So does anybody actually have good success with queueing things up on the PSN webstore and getting their Vita to download them?  Like, I queued up everything I want and I made sure my Vita was on and fully charged today so they would download while I was at work, but it looks like none of them have started yet.

Is it like the PS3 or something where it only checks for that stuff overnight or whatever?

like clockwork for me as long as I have free space.

Did you manually suspend your Vita or did you let it fall asleep like you have to do if you want it to keep downloading something?

I'd also like to know how to remotely trigger vita downloads. I'm guessing it's tied to whenever the vita decides to wake for updates. Sometimes the games are there...sometimes no. Actually, I can't remember the last time a game automatically downloaded since my vita's mostly off (lol). I kid...

On PS4 downloads happen instantaneously.

I'd go with 4 too. Lots of additional content over the other ports of the game as well.
