I can't recall getting all the trophies for a game that I didn't absolutely love, except maybe Jak 2 and 3. That being said, I have tons of respect for people like Gator who have the dedication to get all the trophies in every game they play. I always say do what you love, so if you love getting trophies then I think you are doing it right.

As far as manipulation, I don't think it's a problem at all. I wouldn't have the Jak 2 or Jak 3 plat if it weren't for the orb glitch.

Haven't watched the vid for ICK yet, looks too similar to Hotline Miami (which I didnt really care for)...but this Surgeon Simulator thing??? Day one for sure lol, that looks so fun!

 
Also I am really looking forward to Isaac Rebirth. That will probably end up being my rarest plat if the Steam achievement completion percentages are any indicator

I disagree with your posts, but it does not mean I dislike you. Quite the opposite, I like the banter and maybe even when it degenerates to total shit. I did find it very similar in the regard how you jumped from one theme to another (trophies to personality) in the same post as a maneuver I've seen before. I won't suck it though. I do extend my hand for a handshake.

If you get the online ones, it'll just take time and patience to get the offline ones. As long as you can sit through multiple playthroughs, you'll get them eventually.

I think as long as you aren't manipulating a file, then whatever you do to get a trophy is fine. It's kind of like manipulating the sliders in sports games to get the trophies more easily. If trophies were around when I was in HS or younger, then I would've gotten them organically since I had so much more time to put hours upon hours in games. Now...ain't nobody got time for that.

Also, looks like the NBA has a new big 3....Kyrie, LBJ, Kevin Love. Rejoice!

2 is definitely the worst. I just wish they hadn't strayed so much from what made the first great. But I know that convo has been beat to death in the various psn threads lol

It's an exploit, hardly legit. I find it hard to believe that the devs imagined that starting a private match, not inviting anyone in, and running around the map like a crazy person picking up rescue packs was how gamers would play the MP portion of their game. Please don't get me wrong, I don't fault you. Those MP trophies sucked and I would have done anything to get them over with. It's just that I feel that playing a game in any other way besides the original design is an exploit and should be recognized as such.

I absolutely agree that mp trophies shouldn't be a thing unless it is a multiplayer game only. If a game has mp trophies I typically won't even think of going for the plat

The jump was related to how the topic even began in the first place, Vag not having respect for people who acquire trophies through particular means. My view being trophies shouldn't affect respect, things like character are what you judge people on. Not sure where you got that lost in translation. I can't recall ever being responsible for a discussion degenerating to total shit either.

Unless you're really the breakfuss. I'm pulling a stotch and taking your bait, haha.

I think all of this started with someone accusing Velo with setting up his girls for rape and stalking because he posted fake names that someone said were real...  I think everyone needs to calm down with the attacks and go back to the way things were, just nice interesting conversations.

This trophy argument simply started with me giving advice on how to get a trophy.  There was no need to get mad because I was suggesting cheating.  It is there choice if they had wanted to do that and it doesn't matter how you get the trophy, as long as you are fine with how you get your trophies then that is fine.

Exactly, why does it matter how we get our trophies? I mean great for Vag getting the RL plat legitimately. But if others want to do it there own way then that should be fine!

Yeah, I should have phrased it differently--I would applaud someone who didn't use the save-manipulation exploit to get the Thanatophobia trophy, but using the exploit won't make me think any less of him/her as a person.

I'm only three trophies away from the Jak 2 plat (orbs and metal head gems) but I just can't make myself go back and finish it off. Game was so frustrating at times. It's sad too, it could have been much better with some minor adjustments.

 
those in the know - how the fuck does best buy's post purchase pm policy work now? I know it's best buy to best buy only, but how many days is it if I'm elite plus? still 14 or whatever?

I always laugh when people who boost/cheat say trophies aren't that important. If they're not that important, why are you doing whatever you can to get them?

Yeah I know lol. All good though, it will get its time to shine.

It does, it's NC/SC since I was too lazy to find one without the SC. Those guys aren't true Panther fans from my experience, they're much more into Clemson/USC.

 
Also, if boosting wasn't cheating, then you wouldn't get banned for boosting certain games. People are only okay with what they do. Save file tampering is no different than boosting, it's the most efficient way of getting trophies. Arguing that MP boosting is "playing" the game when you're just letting people beat you and vice versa is laughable.

I like what I am doing for NHL right now... the online trophies suck and I am boosting them with others. but the core of the game I am doing legit and playing through because I like it. Online trophies are laughable actually, they are only there so that publishers can pad their stats of how much online is played because that is the easiest stat to track.

I don't care how people get their trophies, I'd just like to see them own it. Arguing that boosting is legitimate is dumb. Boosters should just be saying, "Online blows and I didn't want to have to deal with it so I cheated the system to get the trophies as easily as possible, big deal."
 
Wow Dell sucks, I ordered that PS4 controller charging station with the $25 credit. They have delayed my order 3 times now. Asshats.

Monsters have the same attacks but the timing is constantly different from one second to the next, and the range and timing of dodges is all over the place as well. It's a huge pain in the ass.
