Just finished up Contrast, not too bad of a game.  I really liked the setting and the music, glad I finally played through it.

All this talk about Madden, think I'm going to go back and get the plat on Madden 12. 

 
Unless you're in some kind of real life competition with someone, or there's some kind of prize at stake, I really really really do to understand why other people give a shit how people earn their trophies/play their games. If you're doing something that doesn't have an impact on anyone else in the world, who the fuck cares what you do? Play the game how you enjoy it, get trophies if you enjoy them, don't worry about trophies if you don't. If you judge anyone for having an enjoyable time with something, then you can really go fuck yourself.

Just went back and did it myself, took 4 hours last saturday... a lot easier then the rarity ratings give it, but I think a lot of people stay away from sports games.

 
I want to go home and play FarCry, but I'm stuck at work for 6 more hours. :whistle2:(

There was some delicious jailbait at the Cafe Rio I went to for lunch though.  That was nice.

So Sacred 3. Its a enjoyable romp as an arcadey gauntlet game for sure. Very light RPG and progression elements overall, nothing at all like the pedigree of its namesake would imply. Everything about Sacred has been stripped out, the only things even giving any illusion you're in the sacred world is the name dropping of Ancaria and the presence of Seraphims. No ability customization, no combat art customization, no professions, no open world, no loot drops. There are some very meager skill trees present on the weapons you do unlock, but that's it. If you look at is as a Sacred game its a mierable failure and disappointment. As a hack and slash gauntlet its solid.

Calling this game Sacred 3, rather than Sacred: Random Subtitle here (as Sacred Citadel did) is a blatant attempt at deceiving fans of the franchise into purchases believing its a true sequel. Further proven by the fact that they released this game ahead of schedule before review embargos were lifted.

This game is, however, much better than Citadel. This could have bee a downloadable title and $30 seems an appropriate day one purchase price for it.

I used to load games on my Commodore 64 (or some other PC) via cassette tape. Played the shit out of some Karate Champ and Hard Ball like that.

I don't think the C64 had a cassette drive option. It was new enough it had 5.25" floppies. The TRS80 was the computer that I had with a cassette drive. Maybe that is what you were thinking of.

 
The first games I remember from our first home PC were this game called Dave, Commander Keen, and Wolfrnstein 3d. In elementary school there were of course Oregon Trail and Number Munchers

I was so excited about this game when it was first announced, but it has been a series of disappointments since then. I loved sacred 2. Open world, great customization, fun hack and slashy lewt. Sure the camera was a little wonky and the side quests dragged on a bit, but I had a ton of fun with it.

If I go into Sacred 3 with your mindset I think it will be ok. I think the voice acting and sexist comments will bother me (and likely my co-op partner). This game seems destined for the bargain bin. When it hits I'll likely pick it up, that's if Diablo 3 hasn't consumed my soul.

Yeah I'm pretty sure you can, and there's no difficulty-related trophies which is nice. It's actually a really easy plat, I think Cleaner and I are going to do the co-op trophies once I wrap up the single player game.

We don't really disagree on Vessel yet, since I haven't played it. I just think it looks cool and hate everyone who says it's a bad game.

Aimless wandering vs. Puzzle solving. How much of each of those is there in Master Reboot?

Sacred 3 sounds like the perfect game for me then once it hits $10 or less. I like dumbed down action games. Thinking is hard. I hope the trophies are really easy though. Because trophies are more important than life.

 
Fez, Vessel and Proteus are not the type of games I would normally play but since they were all free and I am sure I can find a guide to use to get me through them fast I will play them and I may even 100% all three if the guides are easy to follow and straightforward.

EDIT: Nevermind about Proteus if there are annoying trophies.  The game looks like dog shit.

Yeah, I saw that. That trophy is stupid. No way I'm playing the game in Welsh on my first playthrough. Plus the guide says I can just replay the last part of the game in Welsh after I beat it in English and still unlock the trophy.

For shame. You should fucking kill yourself. The developer intended for you to play through THE ENTIRE GAME in Welsh in order for that trophy to unlock. I hope you get banned from Master Reboot. I am personally reporting you as a cheater to the different trophy websites. You are a coward and a failure of a man.

A lot of the stages are aimless wandering to find collectables or pieces of very very easy puzzle. Some trixy puzzles, but not too bad. Can be easy to get lost without a map or know what the hell is going on some of the time. Pretty easy plat though. You have to play the game in Welsh for it. I did my one playthrough in English since I was reviewing it, but I've been meaning to go back and do another go through for the plat.

Fez is an easy 100%. Proteus is an easy but extremely boring 100%, plus there is one trophy that's really obnoxious, like rpg said he's played it like 5 times and still hasn't gotten it.

Steller, I had one chicken enchilada (medium sauce) with rice and pinto beans and the fresca sauce on the side and a Dr. Pepper from Cafe Rio for lunch.

Is Cafe Rio a regional chain?  Do you guys know what that is?

Never heard of it. Wikipedia says it's prominent in the west, with its HQ in Salt Lake City.

yupp, have two here... just got them last year. But we did have Costa Vida before that and it is almost identical to Cafe Rio.

 
I prefer Cafe Rio over Costa Vida, but yeah they're virtually identical.  I'm sure there's several other similar style restaurants around the country with different names.

Cafe Rio makes bank here.  The line goes for days if you go during the lunch rush.  Mormons love that shit!

 
I need some amulet in Borderland 2.  The mission doesn't always come up (it is random).  If you do get the mission and punch the guy in the face you have to play the DLC over with another character or save.  I will try a bit more but a friend might have the amulet.  If he does I will take it from him get the trophy and give it back to him.  

I think things like this are just stupid.
