I used to love my job managing a dry cleaners for 5 years, then I loved my job managing a hotel for 5 years. I quit 3 months ago when I found out I could make more money getting bjs online. I don't get to see crazy strangers anymore, but I also don't have to see crazy strangers anymore. I am thinking about getting a job at the local headshop or comic store part time just to get out of the house, but im pretty fucking lazy. I also graduated magna cum laude with business management degree, so it isn't like I am super dumb, lol. also i think I ate an apple today. I'm 5'10 and like 140lbs. i havnt checked my weight in a few years tho. peace all

Velo loves everything...except grandpa trying to tell him not to give out other peoples info. confirmed.

I don't hate my job but like most I hate stupid people. The problem is there is always at least 17 of these people in positions they have no right holding probably make at least 2 to 3 times what I do.

To be clear, I dont think I ever said I HATED my job. I HATE WORK. My job can suck sometimes and be okay at other times. But I am with grandpa, I dont know many people that love their job.
Life's too short to be stuck doing something you HATE every fucking day. I can understand doing it regardless though, if the money's right or the situation calls for it. But still. I do landscaping work right now, I've done landscaping for about 10 years now. It doesn't pay the greatest, it's hard work at times...but I love being outside and know a lot about what I'm expected to do on the job. If it weren't for that, I'd hardly ever go outside or exercise....unless someone built a huge ass TV in my backyard like the Cowboys stadium or something.

Punch cards are the reason you can only have 80 character per line in COBOL, because that's how you used to enter the code, line by line via punch cards which had 80 columns
Im not sure what was the chicken and what was the egg here though. Was it 80 characters wide since the Vt100 terminals were 80x24 or were the terminals 80x24 because the punch cards were 80 characters wide?

Sitting at a desk all day long does suck donkey nuts. At least I have this thread to keep me occupied. +1

Your a redneck. Of course you work outside. The entire family from my dads side are rednecks and they all work outside doing landscaping or some other trade. Nothing wrong with it. They love it like you do. I would rather sit inside and watch tv or play games than do any work outside. I only want to be outside to play golf or when traveling abroad.

No, he was right, I shouldn't post any people's private info. Iv just been zoning out and forgetting how public this forum really is.

also my documentary would be boring, mostly consisting of watching babies and playing video games ;)

A lot of liking or not liking your job is really just your disposition on life.  It's really easy to focus on either the positives or negatives of a job.  Usually people who hate their jobs hate most other things in life and are constantly miserable.  I work with a few people like that.  Their job could be sunbathing all day on a beach and they would bitch about the wind blowing sand in their face and the crash of the waves giving them a headache.

After I get my Christmas bonus and all those yummy 40 hour weeks, I'm leaving my current job. Retail sucks major ass.

Do people really love their job? Is that possible? I mean aside from Velo.
I like my job. I just don't know if the current position will work out long-term. This is my first programming job and from what I've seen there seems to be a pretty decent salary bump pretty quickly as you get a bit of experience. Not sure if I'll see that here.

I mean, I don't have to work outside. I am skilled in other areas, just never pursued any of that. I didn't like it at first, but once you realize most of the alternative's are sitting on your ass at a desk all day...I'd just rather be outside. I get enough sitting on my ass in the afternoons/nights playing vidya games.

And yes, working outside in the winter does suck, even when you get used to it. The snow doesn't necessarily suck, but the cold when there is no snow sucks.
Nah bros, I'm doing alright. It's been a couple months, and I'm only down 18 total, but it's still progress. From 242 to 228 is a huge change. I was focusing on diet first, and said once I get under 230, I'm going to start with exercise. So last week, I started that couch to 5k plan. It's kicking my ass super bad, but I have a lot of friends who have done it and said the first month is the worst. Plus I'd be dropping more, but I still like to enjoy myself so every now and then I'll get pizza or a burger or some shit. I'm still human, not some god damn diet nazi.
I've always heard gradual weight loss is better than dropping it super fast if you want to keep it off. Good job.

On the other side of the coin, I've put on 14 pounds of muscle since I started weight training in late May. I feel much better as well.

Im not sure why that post won't quote right...

Anyway, you better add everyone that did Batman boosting to the list. They all know Pete is funnier than you. Well you can leave rpg off since he didn't have a mic. Wren didn't either, but he is already president of the Pete fan club.

Oh it won't quote right because my entire post was quotes, and since CAG doesn't thread-quote (thank God Cheapy shut that off) there is nothing for you to quote.

I no what your saying bro. Dont worry. I no. I like to exaggerate about my hatred for things. I actually am the one that brings other people off the ledge here at work.

It's impossible to put 14 lbs of muscle in such as span. The body needs a balance, so it be about 8 lbs, really, with the rest being water/fat. In the weight loss department, it depends how you structure your diet and exercise habits. Food affects body composition and exercise helps mold it, while sleep is the key.

Sleep is the key? You mean I could sleep 14+ hours a night and lose weight? I'm on it!
I gained all my weight after I got a full time job and stopped sleeping 10 hours a night. I only ever needed to eat two smaller meals and I'd be totally fine and I was actually pretty skinny. But since I started working full time I find I eat way way more.

I'm glad that no matter how many times I keep mentioning that Pete is funnier than Tyler, she still hasn't put me on her hate list.
Reminds me of Arrested Development when Michael calls Barry and his secretary answers and says she's not available.

If I knew how to make GIFs from Netflix I would make one but I have no idea how to do that.

I don't know who has seriously bulked here, but I can say that the water intake alone and constant peeing is worse than cramming 8 meals a day.

I'm going to start being completely serious and stick to talking about games so that tyler will start liking me.

on that note, the walking dead storywise is really excellent. I'm genuinely surprised how wrapped up I've gotten. as a game it's just about as fun as trying to dust the blinds in your house, but I can't wait to see how it wraps up. I'll probably avoid season 2 strictly because of the gameplay and read about it or something.

Yay, me and my corgi bruh are the only ones who dont have a job. fuck work, son. My job is to play video games.

So where I go to my social skills group, man there is a lot of hot therapists there. One Asian chick who looks like she knows how to party, if ya know what i mean..hehe. And then theres this other chick who's like 29 or 30 and dayum is she fine. Why are all these hot women therapists? I don't get it dammit!
