I'm still pounding out Breaking Bad. I'm towards the end of the 3rd season. Good show but that episode about the fly was terrible. That's the last one I watched

Haha my friend text me about that episode when he was watching it as well. He couldn't believe how stupid and boring it was.

Breaking Bad definitely has the ability to test your patience in more ways than one.

Regarding PSN outage or not. I couldn't log into PSN on my computer a short while ago. I assumed that was the outage. Don't know about on console.

Also I'm perplexed by how anyone could not get anything out of Fargo (the movie). Such a great film! Anything with Steve Buscemi in it as automatically good too. Duh.

I'd bet Google might be able to help you out on this one Crunch.
this is substantially nicer than the paragraph long asshole response I wrote up saying basically the same thing. I must be in full on snark mode today, gotta put a stop to that before I have to start interacting with coworkers.

So it sounds like maybe I should skip to season 2. Maybe I can find a summary of season 1 somewhere….
I think this is the recap series for season 1 I watched on youtube before the final series premiere as a refresher.

Alright I will go back to Breaking Bad, but first we need to finish The Wire and then we'll probably finish Orange is the New Black. After THAT, Breaking Bad season 2. And given how slowly we get through TV shows, that could be a while yet.

I saw Fargo in the theater when it came out and loved it then. But maybe it's because of all the Midwesterness of it and growing up kinda close to the cities. Plus I later became friends with someone in the movie so bonus score!

I liked the first season of Breaking Bad, the stuff with Tuco and the groundwork that it laid. Was it as good as 3 and 4? No, but still solid.

I agree. However, in chewy's defense, it took a while to get to the Tuco stuff.

With that said, I would never suggest just watching some youtube recap vids instead of sticking with it and watching it as intended.

Season 4 of Breaking Bad is the best season of any TV show I've ever watched. Just saying.

I liked the first few episodes with krazy 8 as well. The only episode in the entire series I did not like was "fly".

Not sure if serious….
Yeah, well its hard to tell why the car is upside down on some homemade crochet (?). I wasnt thinking about it being a car accident in snow since there is no outline nor visible car damage. Did your wife make that for you when you were in your 70s? Gramps.

Perhaps, but what is the greater evil, skipping season 1 so they can get to the more enjoyable S2. or never making it to season 2 because they can't stomach Season 1?

You could stomach season 1 of The Walking Dead because it was only six episodes long. That said, I sacrificed about 24 hours of my life to Hemlock Grove and I'm ashamed of that.

Yeah Breaking Bad really became an internet phenomenon. People wouldn't shut the fuck up about it. I think it was a lot of young people's first real serial TV show they'd ever seen.

I guess the same could be said about me and The Sopranos, which is my favorite serial drama ever.

Skipping season 1 to get to season 2. I prefer to know who I am dealing with and knowing that someone gave up on Breaking Bad tells me a lot about someone. If they take the shortcut to get to the good parts and only talk about that, I likely would not know that and have an incorrect opinion of them.

Hooray for Breaking Bad discussions! I have to do a rewatch to know for sure, but season 2 might be my favorite (or at least tied with 4 and second half of 5):

Season 2 is where they made the transition from small time to big time and, for me, when Walt first crossed the line into unredeemable. Letting that girl choke to death, missing the birth of his daughter to do the deal with Gus, all after finding out his cancer was in remission and he didn't need to cook anymore. I also thought the black and white cold opens appearing in only certain episodes so that it spelled out "737 down over ABQ" was brilliant/awesome.

And not to take away from how awesome and tense season 4 was, but I really didn't like that basically the whole thing was a buildup to this final showdown with Gus in the last episode. It felt like they were just spinning wheesl to get to that point a lot of the time. My favorite part about season 3 is that they unexpectedly wrapped up those mexican cartel hitmen dudes' story like halfway through the season instead of drawing it out for longer than makes sense.

And the first six episodes of the last season (well second half of the last season) are just perfection to me. The escalating cat and mouse game with Walt and Hank was what the whole series was building to and it didn't dissapoint. The last two episodes were still solid, but not as good as what preceded it

Ok.. I should do work now.

I can't believe you haven't seen Fargo. And the guy in the foreground is clearly dead. Duh.

S1 is very well done, it just does such a good job of showing how shitty Walt's life is that it's hard to stomach watching. I think if somebody skips season 1 they're not really doing themselves any favors. The content isn't appealing in a lot of the time you're spent watching it, but it sets the stage for the situation and characters and it is very well done, appealing or not.

I'd say watch it. There's enough good stuff mixed in to make it worthwhile.

Ok good, then its not just me that thinks season 2 was amazing and 3 not quite as good.
Not a big fan of the storyline with the two Mexican brothers hunting them down. So glad they're dead now

I've never seen Fargo either, but a crunchewy endorsement leans me toward keeping it that way. Nothing against ya, I just never seem to agree with any of your tastes or impressions.

Edit: Except tabletop games. They're fuck ing awesome.

Oh, I saw it. And I know I thought it was good, but I clearly didnt remember much about it. Other than funny accents. I know it was in snow in Fargo, but I just didnt get it when looking at that poster crochet.

Fargo is great and well worth watching.

See here I would post some funny comments about work, but since some of you know who I am now I can't.

So I'll just say I love my job and enjoy working hard every day.

So last night I decided Escape Plan has been on my Vita long enough and I since I finished the main game I needed to finish the DLC packs I had gotten back a long time ago. I played the first level in 1 and then I realize it's no longer launch window and I don't need to play this crap. I feel like I must have really had Rose Colored glasses on when the Vita launched. Needless to say I free'd up the 2-3gigs by deleting it. :)

Did some other random gaming, MGS4 beat Crying Wolf and moving forward...hopefully I'll finish it soon. I just got Metal Gear Rising on PS3 (disc) for $5...and I have a digital 360 copy, but I'd rather play on the PS3 at this point so I may hold on to it for a quick finish and flip.

I also picked back up Sly 2 on PS3 since getting the Vita Collection digitally. I'm now on the last level so should finish that up soon. Word.

Speaking of the Emmys, Chris Hardwick talked about internet trolls and their use of YOUR instead of YOU'RE.  I had to think for a second to remember if I ever said something bad about him.  But then I remembered I didnt even know his name until I googled it just now.

You won't like The Wire, because I'm enjoying it a lot. Sorry.
