6 weeks left in the tlou mp firefly journey and it has overstayed its welcome. so close to being just the right length for trophiez.

edit - stella(r), I believe my ratio is now in the neighborhood of 0.3 - 0.4. that's got to be an improvement.

Ok. Beefy 5 layer burrito is alright.

I actually had to take the burrito back and have them make it again. There was way too many beans and not enough meat. I apologized for making them make it again but I told them that a lot is riding on this. I explained that my Mormon friend Tyler recommended this burrito and if I was to give him a proper analysis it had to be made according to spec.

I think I would have liked it more if they made it like it is pictured in the menu board. They barely put any of that liquid cheese spread goop and barely put any shredded cheese. So on the basis of the rendition I ate, I would *not* heartily recommend it to others. I will give it another go at a different Taco Bell though. Ultimately the verdict is still out.

Yeah a lot depends on how they make it. I have two Taco Bells near me and I always go to one specifically because they make it better and the food usually tastes fresher. And yeah, liquid cheese, sour cream, and meat are the best. Too much beans sucks. I don't ever take it back when it has too much beans (which it ususally doesn't at my good Taco Bell) but it definitely can ruin the burrito some.

Not to mention you get the burrito, a bag of Doritos, and a Baja Blast for $2.79 here. That literally cannot be beat.

How would you even calculate K/D ratio since downs/executions are pretty different but both important? I just finished the Firefly journey yesterday and went right into Hunter.

I've gotten pretty good as I am usually one of the top scorers, but I get brought back down to earth pretty regularly with games where I get my ass kicked. Super fun MP but I'm not sure how long I'll play after finishing the Hunter journey.

Semi embarrassing question, does anyone find this game to be super intense? I swear my heart is racing for like an hour after playing a few rounds. Maybe I should see a doctor.

 That's actually a real thing? I saw it on an episode of The Cleveland Show, but I thought it was just a joke.
Nope, it's a real thing alright. They give your kid a bike helmet and place them on top of a sheep and say hang on tight. It was extra entertaining tonight because the arena floor was basically a giant mud pit, so all the kids got coated.

You should probably go for the fast food fivefecta this week. Get some good greasy gunk in those arteries to help slow down that heart rate.

It looks like Tyler only tweets at devs on Twitter. Do you ever get a response?
Yeah, that's my "tweet at game developers" twitter account so that the people who follow my regular twitter account don't have to see that stuff since I know they don't care.

They respond about 50/50, depends on who it is. I use it a lot to just innocently ask for PS4 versions of games I want, like Super Time Force. I also like to give positive feedback for games I like, like the Metrico devs who I know won't get a ton of positive feedback because so many people bitch about indies on PS+. Usually it's the smaller, less well known devs that respond.

The "kills" only take into account the executions, I believe. I think if downs counted, I would actually be a little closer to 1:1, instead I'm at a putrid, .46 or something like that.

To buy Transistor or not? Not sure if I'll play it immediately which means I should probably hold off. But I keep hearing great things about it. It would be my first official game purchase on PS4 since I've been living off PS+ and am waiting for my friend to ship me Infamous SS and TLOUR.

If this is your first purchase for PS4, then ask yourself the follow-up; do you want it to be your first PS4 face-slap?

Also:

Velo; Thanks for helping me with Extinction! Wishing I had a mic, that made things awkward. I had no idea what was going on for a lot of that other than that I needed to shoot shit. :) That run was nice and easy and you and your friends rocked it out. I got all but...3 trophies, I think; one for scavaging 40 items, one for killing 50 monsters with traps, and then one for finishing the game with a relic or something silly like that. Extinction mode was pretty cool, too; I wasn't expecting it to be that long or to work that well as a MP co-op mode, but it was fun.

LOL. Why is that? Because I haven't bought a ton of games? I'm getting the two retail titles I want soon and avoiding a huge backlog of purchased games. I've had my PS4 for maybe a month and a half and am surviving off PS+. Plus I'm mainly an Xbox gamer so I get most titles on XB1. Slap yourself in the face. :p

Or did I completely misinterpret that and you simply hate Transistor?

I just noticed you still need to beat it with a relic and 40 trap kills. Also make it to round 20 in safeguard. Hit me up if you still wanna go again tonite or tomorrow. Awesome job on beating point of contact on your first try ;) especially with completionist trophy and scavenger, those two are lil tricky.

oh damn you didn't get scavenger. you can do that solo, but its tricky. I will tell my buds to not open them again, especially if you leave the goodies for us. It should pop around the last zone. also I beat it with 5 relics, so don't fret about just 1. peace man

Uhh...it was just a joke about how Transistor will probably be hitting PS+. Not within the next month (since they're actually sticking to that), but it's a pretty solid candidate and I'd expect it to show up before too long.

I will always recommend Transistor however, if you aren't going to play it now, maybe hold off for a sale around Christmas? I keep assuming there will be a Christmas / Black Friday sale does this actually happen?

I was giving you a hard time. It becoming a PS+ freebie did cross my mind but I kind of thought the dev will try to get as many sales as possible the rest of the year so it might be awhile if it ever does. I think I'll hold out for now with Destiny and Borderlands TPS around the corner.

I didn't get scavenger--that's one of the three I missed. Did you mean to say Sprinter?

Relic requires getting to level 30, so I don't think that's going to happen in time for me to return it tomorrow. With as fun as it was, though, I'm considering holding onto the game longer.

BTW when I said I had no idea what was going on I meant that. I didn't upgrade any of my skills until almost halfway through. When I did all of a sudden my guy was flying through reloads, shooting was doing a ton more damage, etc.. Not sure if the base class is the most useful, and I didn't quite level up enough to unlock medic (it requires level 10 and I got to 9), but by the end I felt like I was starting to do some damage.

It even took me a while to figure out how to change weapons. I ran out on primary and then switched automatically to the pistol; I kept using the pistol for a good 3-4 minutes because I didn't want to stop long enough to figure out how to switch. It just hasn't come up in the SP campaign as something I needed to do yet. I've played CoD games before, but always on PC and with m+kb, so the controls, which you don't use half of in the campaign, were things I just wasn't used to. :)

I'm about to crash for the night, but I think I'll be up for tomorrow. Yeah, I'm going to keep this longer.

I don't know why you stop at five. There's seven days in a week. You gotta do the last two days.

But I also don't remember the last time I ate a home-cooked meal...

no i meant scavenger, thats why i kept telling them not to open those containers. we can prob do it just you and i too if ya want tonite. my grrl is still gone for another hour or so i think. i need to read before i reply, just saw you are going to bed ;)

oh yeah you gotta prestige for the relics, oops

yeah there is 4 classes, soldier tank medic and engineer. they all have upgrades. yeah those challenges get you extra points to spend on upgrades. usually we split it up 1 guy does armor, 1 guy does ammo and then other 2 either double up on armor/ammo or you can use boosters/wolf drugs. boosters/explosives/wolf drugs arent really needed but still fun. Armor and ammo is essential to max out. yeah you don't wanna throw anything unless you max it out or put some points in it cuz it costs the same if it is base or +4 and team upgrades help you too and only cost 1 point per skill. Medic would prob be best for ya cuz you run faster and regen faster, but you did great as a soldier. engineer is pretty situational, but i love it on point of contact. tank is worthless in point of contact cuz you don't need a meat shield or knifing.

that completionist was really the hardest trophy to get and we tore it up. I was worried at that last 10 trap kills but we got it.

I usually run soldier/medic with a riot shield and ims. I upgrade armor and then maybe some explosive/armor piercing ammo. If you have upgraded ammo, everyone should just run the same special ammo as they don't stack and they are always better than regular ammo. that said it is good to still have 1 guy with regular ammo in case everyone else runs totally dry on cash and ammo. yup

we were talking about teeth too. you earn them when you play with noobs and beat missions. if you go to loadout they added an armory and you get perm upgrades. so far iv got regen faster and start with skill point, i think 10 and 20 points respectively.

Meh. Really wishing I'd gone with the PS Golds now instead of getting the Logitech G930. When I got the G930 I don't think the Golds had wireless PS3 connectivity. At least I remember it that way--that they were wireless with PS4 and then became compatible with PS3 later. Maybe I'm not remembering correctly, though.

But the issue with the G930 is the drivers suck so it sometimes needs the headset rebooted a few times to get it to work, and the wireless doesn't connect directly to the PS3 so I have the PS3 going into my line in jack on the PC; the result is a bit of interference (static) at higher volumes unless I kill the line-in when not using the PS3, and I don't have a way to use the mic through the headset except for PC gaming. Just annoying although the sound itself is reasonably decent and the headset comfortable enough.

You know the spoiler towards the end or not yet? That brought the game to a whole different level for me, shame it didn't have any trophies. Saints Row 2 and DMC4 and Valkyria Chronicles I always wished they had trophies. I thought that game was really good, DMC4,
Nope, couple of missions after the [customspoiler='mission 12 spoiler']switch over to Dante[/customspoiler] and now I am apparently walking all the way back to where I started based on that cutscene, oh Capcom "why make new stages when they can just backtrack over them a second time," it's going to be weird not having grab anymore.

My girlfriend's little sister wanted to check out Daylight so I bought and we finished it in a few hours. It's not as bad as I expected. I remember people reacting negatively to moving boxes, which you only do maybe 5 times in the entire game. There were a few jump scares and creepy moments. It was essentially free with $5 off from Gamestop with the Kongregate coupon and $5 Gift Cert from Bing rewards.

I'm done with SR3.  Got every trophy in the DLC, but only ended up with 62% completion because I didn't get any Golds.

Good enough game, the DLCs were all enjoyable for what I paid for them, but understandably short if someone paid $20 or whatever they were asking for the Season Pass.  Maybe just $15.

Because of the 30 DLC trophies, it's my new highest trophy count game.  56 out of 81, jumped ahead of Guacamelee at 54.

yeah that was what i was talking about spoiler wise. it was like mgs2 all over again, but not really. and yeah, backtrack everything all over again but at least he is more badass about it. and yeah no grab. lol.

anyone wanna beat my dragon dragoon 3 time of  1 week 3 days plat? i meant drakengard3

Gotta decide if I want to cram another game into Sunday/Monday before Velocity now.
You don't have the Hotline Miami Platinum...

I'm in the same boat. Should I start a new game on Vita like the other Velocity title or just wait for the new PS+ games. I need to figure out something before the indecisiveness leads me to not playing anything.

Bought Diablo yesterday and just hit level 20 today. Having a great time with it so far. It definitely feels like it was made for consoles. Already gotten much farther than I ever did on the PC version

I'm using the $5 gamestop coupon to pick up Infamous tomorrow. All your guys talk about it made me want to check it out
It's a really great game, and the super powers that you gain make you feel like a bad ass. 2 games, multiple play throughs on both, I never got tired of climbing high up and then gliding down. Plus each game has a good and evil playthrough which alters your look as well as your powers and missions. There's a great height section combining flight and parkour elements that is very sweaty palm inducing.

Minor annoyances are Coles stickiness to objects. But at times can be a saving grace. Sometimes you just want to jump down from something and you have to grab every damn ledge on the way down. Another thing is the crazy good aim your enemies have from great distances. Also, he can't climb fences is rather odd/humorous. I think they even made some sort of a joke about it in number 2 if I remember.

If you are a completionist, start with a good blast shard map. Don't move on to the next island till you've got them all.

Its a really great game. Infamous 2 is even better, but definitely play 1 first.

Also there is an Infamous edition that has both games 1 and 2 on it. Might even have Festival of Blood, but I'm not positive. You might find it to be cheaper than buying both separately.

Edit: looks like it does have F.O.B. with it. $20.00 brand new.

I have to find some way to break this 1%-game-completion-per-hour pattern for JC2. At this rate, I'll have played it 75+ hours before I get the plat. :joystick:

Just to piggy back, make sure you buy it new, because of Festival of Blood and the Infamous 2 DLC are on a voucher.

even tho i got infamous 2 hero edition, i have infamous 1 and 2 from ps+ and fob from a crazy good sale.

Girls just got home but they tripped in the doorway and are in no condition to do anything but sleep. lol peace guys

Thermo lets plays extinction tomorrow. also any other cags that have cod ghosts on ps3 jump on in.

on the leaderboards they list a k/d ratio (presumably for exxecutions/deaths). I would've had no idea except that stellar posted everybody's one day.

I've played games that got me antsy like you're talking about, but for whatever reason this isn't one for me.

edit - playing on a team now with a dude named 'sir_fharts_alot'. my favorite thing about that is thinking about how he had to add the "h" becase 'sir_farts_alot' was already taken.

I am considering picking this up. $15 is steep but I am getting $20 of credit today for $10. So it would cost me $7.50. Just beat Festival of Blood today.I might just wait for a sale though not sure.
I sort of take back what I said. If you enjoyed neon in SS you'll enjoy FL. I thought video was my favorite but after switching back to Delsin this morning his shortcomings show. I should also clarify that I was mostly in it for the story but if you mainly want lots (lots) of combat and collectibles it delivers in those respects. The trophy challenges look like they'll add hours to it.

I still think Festival of Blood truly stands on its own. Narratively and gameplay-wise. FL is more like a missing chapter to SS, even if it is technically standalone.
