Congrats on finishing, I know it was a long time ago having played it and didn't quite remember but like I said once you are deflecting most of his shots the fight is a lot easier.

Congrats Vig for the platinum, you did it before I even booted up 2x but now I can just enjoy it when I finally do.

I played a little bit of strider, I feel it's a game I would have been pumped for 3 or 4 years ago but now I'm kind of meh on it.

Vig...Target deal looks cool, Thanks for the heads up. What does everyone do with $1 pre-orders though? Cancel or eat the $1?

Metal Gear Rising is like doing a line of coke with a shot of adrenaline while drinking a red bull and popping speed pills. I like the fast pace but now I can see why it's so short. I could be wrong but at surface value it doesn't seem to have the depth of a Ninja Gaiden or DMC but we'll see. Either way it's fun.

Was just about to make fun of Pitfall for picking up a used car salesman for his fantasy team, then I read this bullshit:

Appearing on NBC's NFL Kickoff 2014, Profootballtalk's Mike Florio reported Josh Gordon and Wes Welker's suspensions could be reduced or "go away completely" if the NFL and NFLPA agree on a new drug policy.

Advice: According to NFL.com's Albert Breer, Sunday is a "soft deadline" for an agreement. The Washington Post has since confirmed PFT's report. The sides have been trying to hammer out a pact that would allow testing for HGH. As a concession, the league would then raise the threshold for positive marijuana tests, and move amphetamines from the PED policy to substance-abuse policy. First-team substance abuse violations do not mandate a suspension. The situation is still very much up in the air, but it appears Gordon is worth stashing.

 
Wow an actual video from Sony with the Vita in it promoting that it does stuff (Remote Play Destiny)! On a serious note, does anyone think this will sell more Vitas? Crazier shit has happened and we all know Halo and COD fans can be quite ravenous with these games.

Target preorders aren't like preorders at other places--they don't set aside a copy for you when it releases, and you aren't given a call to come pick up your copy. You just bring that preorder card back when you buy the game, hand it to the cashier with the game, and get a $5 Target gift card back. So you can basically deduct $4 from the cost of the game.

What's even sweeter is when you can stack preorder cards from past promos with other Target promos. I have a few Destiny cards from earlier in the year, so if I can get a copy through this deal at $20 off, I can get a $5 GC back, too, so a copy of Destiny would be $39.99 plus tax minus $5 GC = ~$37-ish. It's not that much of a difference, but every little bit helps.

Maybe replace the I with a small platinum trophy, "September T
platinum.png
T Champ"? Can raise the circle and put a gap between it and the base to make it look more like a lower case i.

Huge congrats to Vig! Seriously that is really impressive. I found Velocity Ultra to be very easy, and I'm not sure if I will even be able to plat 2x. Certainly not before Destiny. Not a very competitive person, but I'm loving seeing you guys compete for this stuff. It will be interesting to see in the coming months how the top five end up

 
So many indies on Vita, you'd think the majors would get on board. I fear we may never truly know how powerful the handheld actually is.

 
I'm still not done with TLoU. I'm sucking pretty bad at finding parts and supplements. I only need 50 more supplements, damn it! So I don't think I'll be doing any Star Ocean. Probably just finish this up and play Pinball until Tuesday.
 
Ipad people.  My wife wants to get an Ipad mini and get rid of her ipad 2.  Where is the best place to trade in?  I checked online yesterday and amazon is $150 and best buy was about $130 I think.  Any other place good?

Check GS just in case. I'm not sure if the BB or GS TIV bonuses apply to electronics or just to games, if it applies to electronics that might be worth waiting for.

Books aren't very well-written IMO...and the LOTR trilogy wasn't very well-done either, I thought. I quit after the 2nd and from what I've heard the 3rd dragged on way too long.

I'm more interested in The Hobbit movies as that was a better book than the trilogy, but haven't watched those yet.
