What the...

Alice: Madness Returns uses 946MB in the Game Data Utility...when I've got it installed digitally. I didn't think digital games also had the additional game data, I thought that was reserved just for storing some data from disc games. Seems odd.

dlc for alice 1

could you repost the tips? just started the sp part and any hints would be appreciated.
Basically you can play once on easy/normal and then from there go right into Survivor+. That's really the only tip. The game isn't really that hard. The details on how to get to Survivor+ like that are on PST.org. Velo just made me aware of doing that a long long time ago when he did.

Like RPG said, that's the American McGee's Alice file. The original game that you get for free with buying Madness Returns.

Goddamn pubs on Ghosts Extinction are stupid bastards. That's the third game I've left because idiots keep ignoring the challenges right from the beginning.

I myself can't seem to put Velocity 2X down either, so I'm working towards the 25 perfects.  Just had one of those "beat a level with 40 secs to spare but missed a piece of glass somewhere" moments where I kinda wanted to hit somebody.

The 4th V2X DLC level left my hands shaking after Perfecting it. Just like Level 50, I don't see any possible way to do any better than matching the 1:15 Gold time.

I swear to god I'm fucking jinxed with co-op.  My PS3 froze just a couple minutes after bums signed in and now it's doing that stupid system check to see if it has to completely restore.

fucking christ.  Picture included since i know you guys won't believe me.

Was just about to make fun of Pitfall for picking up a used car salesman for his fantasy team, then I read this bullshit:

Appearing on NBC's NFL Kickoff 2014, Profootballtalk's Mike Florio reported Josh Gordon and Wes Welker's suspensions could be reduced or "go away completely" if the NFL and NFLPA agree on a new drug policy.

Advice: According to NFL.com's Albert Breer, Sunday is a "soft deadline" for an agreement. The Washington Post has since confirmed PFT's report. The sides have been trying to hammer out a pact that would allow testing for HGH. As a concession, the league would then raise the threshold for positive marijuana tests, and move amphetamines from the PED policy to substance-abuse policy. First-team substance abuse violations do not mandate a suspension. The situation is still very much up in the air, but it appears Gordon is worth stashing.
He was scooped up in two of my leagues literally within minutes of the news dropping. Those leagues aren't going to be very fun.

How is this different from RL?
Don't know, I've never played Rogue Legacy to know how important the power ups you get while playing with a version of the character are to your ability to progress in that generated layout of the world. but they are pretty important in BInding of Issac. If not enough bombs are supplied (to open the way to shops and secrets) or not enough keys are supplied (to open chests with power-ups) then you're just screwed due to no fault of your own.

Should I get a PS4 tomorrow?

Before a couple of you say "No, get the Destiny bundle next week," I have a few excuses. 1)I don't give a shit about Destiny. 2)I like the white color, but I don't think I like it enough to pay more up front and then deal with trying to unload Destiny. I'd rather just spend the money up front to buy a game I actually want. Plus I think I like the white controller more than the system anyway. 3)I'll be out tomorrow doing other stuff, and don't want to have to drive 60 miles round trip again on Tuesday to go pick one up, assuming I can even find one.

Decisions.

So the question is really when you should get it, not if you should get it. If you've already decided to get it then go ahead and pick it up IMO.

What game would you want? Depending on which ones you could probably flip destiny to Best Buy for $40 and because you get GCU when buying a console from them, you may be able to get a couple PS4 games like Killzone or something else or one game and $20 to PSN. I'm not sure what sales they have going on right now, but I think that would be a good way to get the Destiny bundle with limited amount of effort to flip it. I know you said that it's not important, but just in case you were on the fence. You could always order one from Amazon.

Best Buy is a 90 minute drive one way, so I'm not really looking to head there. Also, I've got Gamestop credit, and I'd prefer using that over real money.

kids are asleep and wife is gone. and the world's loudest party of 14-15 year old kids is happening next door. my understanding is that there's somehow about 40 of them.

I am never going to let my children have friends. NEVER.

Only way I perfected 50 was with that screen teleporting, I couldn't line up the teleports with just square, but tapping to teleport made it awesome. and yeah you can't let go of boost at all so good luck timing those bomb shots and teleports.

Not that you are entirely wrong, pick-ups certainly are important, but there are examples to prove they aren't necessary. One is that the game has a challenge called The Purist that requires beating the game, but the game doesn't give you any item rooms throughout. Another is that fact that CobaltStreak (one of the big Isaac twitch streamers) won the game over 500 times without dying. So in the end with enough skill, luck about what items get dropped is nearly meaningless

nuking the following from my backlog:

- american mcgee's alice
- deus ex
- gta 4
- ibb and obb
- hitman absolution (maybe)
- jak and daxter precursor legacy
- nba 2k14
- shift 2 unleashed
- sly cooper and thievius raccoonus
- two worlds II

if anyone can make a really good case for any of these I'd be interested to hear it.
The first Jak was some good old school, Saturday morning cartoon platforming. Same with the entire Sly series. Very enjoyable and stress-free experiences if you're ever looking for something to unwind to.

After that, the only other one I played on your list was Alice and I really enjoyed it. If you got the bundle skip the first one though.
