I'm going to throw out this wild, almost crazy idea to everyone that obviously hasn't been thought of yet.

If you don't like Destiny...don't play it. Holy shit that's fucking genius! Everyone complaining about it seems to have no problem sinking hours and hours into it.
Hey, that's what I did! I'm smart! And I can still rag on Destiny! Win-Win!

I was reading some college football stories on SB Nation and there was a link to a story about MMA I checked out. It mentioned a Japanese woman fighter who was "built like a brick shithouse" and so I looked up her name, Rin Nakai, on Google (warning, there are many that are NSFW). I don't recall ever seeing a Japanese dude as jacked as she is. If I did not read that article to know she was a fighter I would have probably thought this was shopped. She is either a freak of nature, has been pumping some HGH for a while, or both.

She has some weird ass videos on Youtube. Crazy, Snakey-level fetish weird.

Like what? What lines of bullshit? Please tell us them, since you keep bringing them up (my guess is you pulled a Snakey and saw someone in GAF or Reddit saying this and it suddenly became your opinion too). Please post the lines of bullshit, and the direct source where a Bungie person actually said this line of bullshit.

And again, like I said before...they've had videos, an alpha, demos, a beta...and all of that matches pretty closely what we're seeing now. If you fell for something that didn't exist, that's your fault.

And when I hate a game, really really hate it to the point that I'm obviously obsessing over the tiniest little nitpicky things, I would quit playing it.
Destiny sure has produced some of the best (and by best I mean fanciful and absurd) defenses I've seen for any game. If you like it, dude, that's okay. I haven't said you were wrong for feeling that way. No need to try to discredit someone's opinion because it differs from yours. Thought we were past that. I've made sure to say it's not a bad game. Doesn't mean it's anywhere near what Bungie claimed it would be. These are facts. I expected it to have social features that it simply does not. I expected the story to be mildly interesting. I expected the world to be truly open and replete with things to do and see. That is not nitpicking.

Expectations/hype aside, the game would still have issues. Frankly, it's boring. Fun to play but just...meh. I'm hoping that with the right injection of content and patches things will pick up. So I'm sticking with it. What they've created is one hell of a foundation/framework. It's gorgeous. But worth $60 in its current state? I don't think so.

It's not your opinion when you say that Bungie lied to everyone and was producing a game that's different than what we received. You flat out said that they said a lot of shit that didn't end up being true. I asked you to prove that, and like you do with every argument, you ignored that part and tried to turn it into an attack about someone unjustifiably defending something. All I'm doing is asking you simply to show me what Bungie claimed Destiny was going to be. That's it. I'm not defending anything here. If you can show me that and you're right, then you're right. Your expectations being one thing because you've been blind to demos, videos, betas, alphas, etc., not matching up with the game is your problem.

So when did Amazon's fees go from 15% to 20% for selling games? I think I am going to start selling some of my games if you guys are interested. First things first after reading what you guys have said, I want to see if I can get $60 for my Destiny Guardian Edition. Let me know if you know anyone that is interested.
So I just sold a game on Amazon for $6.75 + $3.99 shipping. Amazon takes $3.35 of that (OUCH!, I know) in the form of a $0.99 item fee, $1.35 video game closing fee, and 15% of the selling price which is $1.01. So I get $7.39 and still have to ship, so let's just call it $5 made on the game.

On Ebay, the cheapest price for that game is $8.99 + free shipping. So ebay would take $0.90 and Paypal $0.56, leaving me with $7.53 to ship it. I might make an additional 10 to 20 cents using ebay, but that's it.

tl;dr - Amazon fees are WAY higher but you can generally sell at a higher price than on ebay. Have to consider lowest BIN prices on both sites on a case-by-case basis. I'm pretty sure this is the same point affa makes over and over, but it is true that things usually sell at a higher price on Amazon.

I haven't played mine craft so maybe this is why I view it this way, but it doesn't look like anything special. Why the big hubbub about it? The mine craft guy looks like a wannabe Lego to me
It's the new generation's version of LEGO (just as LEGO supplanted things like "Lincoln logs" and "tinker toys"), it is incredibly popular among kids and preteens.

Just looked up Thief.  Have it listed for for $20.30 + $3.99 shipping on Amazon which will get me $18.91 before shipping.

Lowest BIN price on ebay is $20.99 + $2.99 shipping.  If I could sell it for that price I'd make close to $2 more.  Maybe I do need to get in the habit of listing on eBay.  If I sell normal things that are shipped normally (and not codes) then maybe I won't be quite the "tard magnet" as Matt so eloquently put it.

So you guys say it's easy to post through the app huh?  I'll try it tonight if my Amazon listing doesn't sell.

I don't know how amazon shipping works but through ebay and paypal you get a usps discount on most shipping too.

How much of a discount on a normal sized video game? Do you know? And do you get a free shipping confirmation number?

If it costs $2-$3 dollars to ship it's only about $.25-.50 cents but I figure every bit adds up over time. Yes you get a free confirmation number (tracking).

I'm not entirely convinced this is a real person and not just a playable character in Dragon's Crown that I somehow missed.

Yeah I go with the default option for first-class shipments, which is a 5 oz package. Costs me $2.09, and automatically confirms shipment and provides the tracking number to the buyer. So quick and simple.

Where is the Paypal fee from? I haven't gotten any of those. I think it's because I have it tied to my bank account, but am not sure if that's why.

I do. I have a 22 inch monitor dedicated just for gaming. I've always hated gaming on large displays though.
I have seen someone playing on a projector setup (it was 10 feet or more), and I would not be able to handle that since it fills up your field of vision and tends to make me feel motion sick. However, I prefer a larger but reasonable sized screen for gaming.

I wasn't sure how to answer the poll what with having a Vita and PS3. I went with the actual monitor since I've been playing the PS3 more lately than the Vita, but it's a toss-up.

Tyler, please start selling more stuff on ebay all the time so you can have more stories about the idiots you have to deal with.  I love how the guy could not handle the paper being folded.  If he's such an OCD collector, why didn't he just preorder the game himself.  Actually, he probably did but he needs to keep that one in the case where it belongs and he needs yours to frame and put on his wall.
