Don't worry

I know not to buy it now
I'm half asleep and as soon as I read Stotch's post, I knew not to buy it.
They pay full price?
I have Amy in my backlog, I'm just waiting for this halloween to play it. I heard it's even scarier at that time. We only paid full price because its like $3 and never has went on sale. I'm not quite sure how anyone hasn't at least bought it yet. I think Microsoft tried to buy it for like 4 billion dollars, but it was so good that they wouldn't sell it. I smell sequel.

Shame on you Matt :,(

Guacamelee is one of my favorite downloadable titles to come out over the last few years as it is humor-ful and integrates the combat controls so well with the platforming controls as every special attack doubles as a move used for platforming. It's basically if Castlevania starred a luchadore wrestler instead of a vampire hunter.
Thanks

I was looking at this one earlier actually and couldn't pull the trigger since it was full price. I'm guessing this goes on sale or no?

I'm pretty sure it's been on sale multiple times. But yea get it I love Guacamelee! It was actually the first game I played on my vita, and probably my favorite.

Yeah it's hit $5 and $7.50 IIRC. Not recently, though. I've expected it to hit PS+ for a while, and it did EU quite some time back. I'd at least wait for October's games to be announced before buying it, just in case.

I wouldn't honestly recommend it to anyone, but I will finish it someday. it's amazingly awful and not in a fun way. it's the only game I've played that had such a terrible camera that I got motion sickness from just walking around.

Got another exotic bounty but I don't know what to choose... pocket infinity (auto fusion rifle) or bad juju (pulse rifle receiving a buff soon).

That grip I bought for my Vita-2000 is great. It's better than the previous similar design for the 1000 as it allows you to use the charger while it is on. The kickstand thing works and I guess might be useful if you want to watch a video on your Vita. I doubt I'll ever do that, but there's no harm in it being there. It is inexpensive too. I definitely recommend it:

Just out of curiosity, why'd you go for that instead of the Nyko powered grip which is $7 more?

Just read this on Tyler's favorite site from someone who's playing Shadow of Mordor. I want this game NOW.

After 10+ deaths against the same fucking enemy, I finally managed to kill him today. The fucker was immune to most of my attacks and always had a pack of orcs with him whenever I met him. I've met him several times since the start of the game and never managed to kill him.
I've honestly never held such a grudge against a video game character before. He has leveled from 5 to 20 and caused me so much problems.
I spent 3 hours this afternoon, killing off his captains and leveling up, just to be absolutely butchered when I gathered the courage to attack him again,

Then I interrogated an informer and learned that he fears Caragors (the bear/hound things) and that he's susceptible to stealth kills.
So I tamed a beast and let it loose inside his camp after tracking him there, watched as he fled, and followed him at a distance.
When he was alone on a cliff, I snuck up behind him and slit his throat.

God daaaaaaamn, it felt so good.
I love the nemisis system.

I dont think u need to be a fan of lotr. I dont really care. I just like open world action games. This is right up my alley. I got really excited after seeing some vids of the fast running ability and the fast travel system. This isnt a slow plodding game like d souls.

Got the Puppeteer plat.

Now let's see how much of Rayman Origins I can work through before SoM's release. :joystick:

Shadow of Mordor looks really good, but my concern is that I can't stand Assassin's Creed and I only liked Batman AA. Makes me think that maybe 3rd person action games just aren't really for me. May have to wait until it gets cheap before pulling the trigger

Just realized that I went through the first 49 levels of VU without using the touchscreen to teleport.  I didn't realize that you had to activate it in the options.  I had tried tapping the screen in the first few levels so when nothing happened I just assumed they didn't utilize it.

Anyway, touchscreen activated.... 15 minutes later I had the perfect on 50.  I'm so glad I realized this before I put that much time into that last level.

I didn't like AA at all. I have AO and haven't even tried it. I don't really feel like the AC games are that great on combat (I've only played 1, Bloodlines, and 2). This looks to have some AC elements in the climbing and such, but the fighting looks to be a lot more developed than the AC games I've played. That, the nemesis system, and the really nice animation fluidity all have me really interested.

Thanks

Yep, it goes on sale periodically, it was $3.75 at least once, the story is tied in with the Day of the Dead so I wouldn't be surprised if there was a sale on it closer to Halloween.

The DLC's have never been on sale, though it's pretty cheap. There are 2 DLCs, a costumes pack and a challenge room pack. The way costumes work in the game is in addition to a cosmetic change, it will shift your power focus. For instance, whenever you use supers it depletes your stamina gauge, the chicken costume boosts your HP regen, but lowers your stamina regen. Another costume has infinite stamina, but you can't replenish your HP through pick-ups. Another boosts your damage to enemies, but also boosts the damage you take. Another has more powerful punches, but their throw damage is weak, etc.

As such its only really worth purchasing the costume pack if you use it during the main campaign because unless you're going to replay it over again there's not much to do other than get a few trophies. I did enjoy the challenge room DLC as it can be done after the main campaign, there is a nice variety of combat, platforming, and puzzle challenges.

The only thing is the PS4 has the superior version of it as it was re-released as the "super turbo championship edition", and it has all the DLC and a new level, boss, and a few extra costumes. It annoys be that they didn't provide it as optional DLC for the PS3/vita version.

Batman is just a really boring character and the combat wasn't very fun. :nottalking:
I enjoyed the combat, what wore me down not so much in AA, but definitely in Arkham City is they went WAAAAAAY overboard with collectables. Mid-hundred-ish is about my limit and they had over 400 total in AC between the riddler trophies, photo riddles, and breakables.

I think AA was the best of the series so far. The fact that the prison is closed off and you have to go around it a bunch of times got on my nerves in AC.

So for next month, does anyone know if we're getting Driveclub and another game, or Driveclub in addition to the normal two games? A couple sites I've found on the Google say that it's the second option, but none of them give a source to anything official from Sony.

Every Arkham game takes the previous number of collectibles and multiplies it by 3. And then they take the number of challenge maps and multiply that by 7. So Arkham Knight will be 824 collectibles and 1000 challenge maps.

Wait, so...you say AA is the best in the series and then point out how it annoyed you? :whistle2:k
I edited what I said, but I meant to say in AC. The fact that the prison is a huge chunk of the city and you have to go around it and you can't cut across got on my nerves. I understand why it was closed and everything, but the frequency of the missions bringing me around prison to the other side of the city didn't have to be so high. This goes for any game. For me it has always been a shitty tactic by developers to make their game longer. You have a mission here and after you complete it, go alllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll the way to the other side of the map to complete the next one and then come allllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll the way back to do another one and then alllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll the way back to do another one.

That's probably why I've only ever finished one GTA game. I always get sidetracked causing trouble between missions during the treks back and forth over the map.

I actually agree with corgs on something. Most of us are going to explore the map anyway, why force us to go from one side to the other after every mission.

Is it more , or less, boring than all your posts about how boring, and not fun, everything on the planet is?

If only every open-world game had Just Cause 2's traversal system...

Well, SoM has my attention now after all the buzz and reviews. Like mpaulin, though, I've never been a fan of the source material. I actually fell asleep during The Hobbit. Hopefully it really is that good it won't matter. That nemesis system looks tight.

And I finally realized the Triple Play trophy in Destiny requires a triple kill. Makes sense. I knew something had to be up after getting some decent killstreaks (highest is 12).
