1. Red Robin doesn't suck, as I've had fantastic meals there.
I usually just get the chili because they don't really have much in the way of low-carb options, but that tastes decent enough.

Hm. Thinking about chili makes me want to make up a big batch of spicy taco soup. I haven't done that in a while.

Just realized that I went through the first 49 levels of VU without using the touchscreen to teleport. I didn't realize that you had to activate it in the options. I had tried tapping the screen in the first few levels so when nothing happened I just assumed they didn't utilize it.

Anyway, touchscreen activated.... 15 minutes later I had the perfect on 50. I'm so glad I realized this before I put that much time into that last level.
I never used touch teleport in VU, and only once in 2x...idk I can't get used to it. It feels awkward so I gave up on it.

I tried it in VU and had the same problem. That was after I'd already been using

for a while and had gotten comfortable with it, though.

I understand what he's saying. He didn't say it was the greatest game of all time, just that it's the best in the series. I personally like City better story wise.
I liked AA better. I didn't like flying around the city in AC and liked the smaller environment in AA best. I beat/owned 3 different versions of AA. Beat AC and sold it. Gave up on AO pretty early on. Finished Batman Blackgate on Vita. Found the horrible maps annoying. Not sure why I am excited for Arkham Knight but I am hopeful it will be a great game.

Got the Vita slim last night thanks to Corgs coupon and a lot of phone calls the last few days trying to find one in stock. I was told over and over that as soon as the new Vita's come in they get snatched up. My preference was to just make one trip, come in and pick one up and not have to order one. Didn't want to have to be Vitaless for longer than necessary.

So far battery life has been noticeably better. Its only been fully charged since last night and I feel like I've put enough gameplay into it that my old one would have had less battery bar, but the new says fully charged.

In terms of the screen, I didn't think I would be the type to even notice but I did. In between other games, I've been playing through My Singing Monsters which is a very colorful game, and I booted it up on the slim. It was very noticeable the difference. I'd describe it as almost washed out. Somewhat dimmed, whereas on the OLED the colors were rich and really popped. Hardly a deal breaker as the game still looks great, but I thought it interesting and worth mentioning. It won't be a big deal at all for any game I haven't played before, since I won't have any sort of memory of what it looked like on the OLED.

Same..apparently I'm better at flicking that box ;), then touching the screen.
The problem with touching the screen is the back-and-forth between hitting the screen and controlling with analog. For me, anyway. I'm sure it's something you can get used to, but at that point in VU I just didn't see enough advantage to do so.

Tyler is starting to gameshare now, i think he has a brain now. Well done tyler.
Just out of curiosity, why'd you go for that instead of the Nyko powered grip which is $7 more?
Weight and I don't need the extra battery. Even if I do I have a portable battery that would run it probably for days and it would sit separate from the Vita. The only added weight would be the USB cable.

So $7 less and less weight with no practical benefit to the more expensive and heavy one.

I was fine using the button method, but the touchscreen made level 50 so much simpler.

Finished off the bonus missions and got the plat. Maybe I'll start up 2X and see what all the fuss is about.

I didn't realize you have a Wii U. So how do we know if you played Bayonetta 2 without a trophy list to look at, anyway?

Also, you're not getting the first game remaster or whatever they're calling that?

yeah, it wasn't until today that I found the achilles heel for me - was playing tlou remote play in a sunny room and it was virtually unusable. the game itself is fairly dark, the vita is more washed out and the sunlight added on was just too much - I had to almost hold it right up to my eyes like goggles to see sometimes. the oled handled this scenario in spades. no big deal, it's pretty uncommon for me to be playing in the middle of a sunny day, but yeah - there's definitely a compromise here.

So did you never have any issues with the picture of the oled with remote play? I thought people were showing that it really fucked with the colors on some games.

That is odd since my experience has been the opposite. Games are more playable around sunlight. Now direct sunlight is no good, but it was no good on the OLED too. OLED was awful in even indirect sunlight. The LED is much more usable there.

He doesn't give a shit about the city of Gotham or any of the people in it, if he did he'd kill The Joker and all the other people he plays around with.
His character is centered around the fact that he has morals above the enemies he's facing. If he was to kill them he would in his mind be no better, which is another part about him that I find a lot more compelling compared to other super heroes that have no problem wacking people off.

I'm not really sure how you missed that bit, since it was a huge part of all three of Nolan's films and has always been one of the cornerstones of Batman.

I never found it to be grossly inaccurate, but that said I probably play ps4 more via remote play than on a tv so it's more likely that I played on the tv at some point and was like 'man, the colors on this tv look like shit! I'll stick to the vita.'

Did anyone play Joe Danger on Vita. I downloaded it, but haven't played it. I heard there were lots of bugs (freezing and crashing?) on this version.

MGS2's problem wasn't the gameplay or the story (though neither were presented well), it was that the entire game was a huge series of interruptions. The gameplay was constantly being interrupted by phone calls and movies and dialogue so that it never really felt like I was going to get to play, and the story was constantly requiring me to hit a button to advance advance advance advance and then I'd have a brief 3-4 minute section of play. Either one on its own would have been tolerable, but as-is the game constantly kicks me out of the immersion. I can't just watch the movie and I can't just get into the gameplay because of the back-and-forth nonsense.

The game would have been a ton better if it hadn't been written like it was by a 13-year-old. Having the gameplay be interrupted for relevant stuff would have been fine, but instead I was getting shitty calls from the girlfriend about the first date, constantly having stupid conversations about how to handle the simplest things, going way to in-depth into random side-characters like the black dude who was pretending to be a cripple, etc.. The game was just badly put together.

A good example of a game with lots of dialogue and cut scenes but balancing the gameplay correctly is Asura's Wrath, by the way. The story is very simple, but the gameplay, dialogue, and cut scenes all support that story and focus on driving it forward. MGS2 was all over the place and suffered as a result.
Anyone who can't appreciate the brilliance of nanomachines or la-li-lu-le-lo is a philistine. :)

lol, nah, it's cool if you don't enjoy the outlandish plot. Or how the codec buzzes in every few minutes. It isn't everyone's thing. But you called it the worst game EVAR. Crazy talk. I encourage you to play more games if that is truly the case. You ought to be able distinguish between something you don't enjoy (*cough* Demon's Souls) and a game that's objectively bad/broken.

MGS is one of my all time favorites and you know I can get just as critical as you. Yeah, it meanders a lot but for some reason I eat that shit up. It's just one of those things that requires a huge suspense of disbelief, lol.

Try Snake Eater. Most people's favorite and more straightforward. MGS4 won't be your cup of tea.

Jak 2 feels pretty similar to the first game in controls and camera. I'm a bit puzzled as to why they changed the tone and mission approach so much, though. I like the tone change, honestly, as three games like the first would have gotten very old, but the back-and-forth nature of one mission at a time (so far anyway) drives a lot more traveling to/from missions than I'd prefer. Maybe there's a better travel mechanic for shortcuts and I haven't yet seen it.

I had issues with it crashing and wiping my save. Haven't touched it since. Not sure if they patched it.

The wife and I went bowling tonight. I'm a terrible bowler, but on the last game I started with four strikes. After that I knocked down 17 pins the rest of the game. Wtf man. My first game I got a 158 though and I think that's my highest score ever.

Just beat the raid with my clan. Got the dope ass Chatterwhite shader. That was fun as shit. Didn't take us long to beat the boss. I guess it just helps when we play while we're all fresh.

I end up all over the place between ~60 and ~110, usually. I've never been able to maintain the slightest bit of consistency. I rarely bowl, so I don't care about being good at it, but the inability to repeat even the mediocre success is something that tends to frustrate me.

Batman is a hero who can save the day and has no super powers (other than his brain and his cash) that in itself makes him pretty interesting. I like to think MacGyver is from an alternate reality where Bruce Wayne grew up in a poor family, He has the brains, the dead parents, and the aversion to guns; but not the cash.

If you want to watch a really good Batman movie about how that morality is tested then watch Batman: Under the Red hood. Superman vs. The Elite deals with similar themes and is probably why I liked it better than all of the recent live action Superman movies.

One tip I can offer is to try and knock down all the pins on your first roll.

Went out to watch the ufc fights, and the BWW was filled with Utes fans. Yuck. was fun watching them blow a 21 point lead though. thanks to whoever told me to stay off the bandwagon.
