yeah. rollerballs and roller skating robots are what always screw me up. sounds like you're going for it though, that's awesome.

and that video you linked is nuts. getting up in the bogey's face with a shotgun and succeeding. twice. nuts.
That's where the smaller arena can be a benefit, in the final level of the campaign when you face 2 bogeys it's so big (and it has stupid fuck ing high ledges that you can't get to which they can hop onto and snipe from) makes it hard to fight close range with one as the other will be out of eye sight sniping you with an instant death cannon.

Congrats and condolences for finishing off Portal 2 Pete and Topside. I know you guys have been trying to get it for some time. Problem is that now you have less reason to play Portal 2. I really hope they make another one sometime soon. It was one of the best games in that generation of consoles, IMO.
Hear, hear!

If these games were Press Your Luck or Price is Right I'd be over that shit. And why isn't there new versions of the Double Dare game out on new systems? Or American Gladiators?
The Press Your Luck and Price is Right games both suck. This THQ version of Jeopardy is the best version of Jeopardy I've played since SNES. Can't speak for WoF yet but I'm holding out hope since I've been impressed with Jeopardy.

Press Your Luck is actually one of the most overrated gameshows there is. I used to LOVE it when I was younger, I guess because of the board, but now I watch reruns and man is that game boring. There's like 8 trivia questions and a few board spins and that's it. So many better games.

My wife kicks my ass at Jeopardy because she is quick.  Also, I dont read.  Too many questions about 19th century authors and artists that specialized in 16th century native american folk art inspired by the pilgrims.

If you guys didn't know his name was Donnie from like years ago, you suck at stalking.  I think we already know Vig sucks at it though.

I knew his last name as well from the Google Docs spreadsheet, whenever he's on there logged in it shows his full name.

Heylls yeah!

Just got an exotic rocket launcher playing some crucible!

Sweet.

I got a legendary shotgun (already had one) and a legendary sniper riffle last night. Back to back decrypts I was shocked. Also was able to buy a legendary helmet from the FWC faction and have purple engram for the gauntlet waiting for update.

Yup, this is exactly my issue. I usually kick ass in regular Jeopardy and my family always tells me I should go on the show. They don't realize that Double Jeopardy almost always has *at least* two categories about History/Literature/Politics, all of which I don't know shit about. And then final Jeopardy is almost always a Literature or Historical question, and knowing the Final Jeopardy question is kind of super important.
Chewy. Apparently the chat setting was disabled. How the fuck does that happen? When I last turned dead nation on we spoke. Why the fuck would the setting change on its own?
Last time we were using a party chat. I believe the in-game chat is disabled by default. Why they'd do that? I have no fuck ing idea!!

Stop making me want to buy more games!

And after the second encounter with General Glaive in Velocity, I think I'm done. Everyone else here finished the game and moved on a month ago.

Did you ever get called "Donnie Tew Shoes", like "Goodie Two Shoes"?
Never got that one. A WHOLE LOT of "and Donnie Tew, hahaha!" stupidity though.

When I pronounce my last name I usually just use the pronunciation of too as most would read it. So does the most of my family. My Aunt claims that it is actually supposed to be tyoo. Think the word few but with a T. No clue if she knows what she is talking about, but she is one of those ancestry.com types.

Yeah I know. I'm not going to buy any of it.

Rented the Bio DLC from a guy named Factor747. I think I overpaid by like a buck ($2/week) but I don't really care since it's still way cheaper than the Season Pass will ever be, even on sale.

There's a few other good things for rent. Almost wish I would have looked more into GS a month earlier, since I have SoM to play now.
generally most people will let you rent for $1 or less.

also I don't know how you guys keep up with this thread. I always have to skip pages and hope I read the good parts.

Your last name reminded me of a hockey player whose last name is Toews. They pronounce it like TEBS. I heard that one and was like WTF?

Anyway, house of names.com says your name is a spelling variation of Toews. So you could all be saying it wrong! Of course I dont know this site, so who knows if they know shit.

To those playing Mercenary, be sure to save/ hoard materials after you choose a loadout you're comfortable with. Decorations and the building guns trophies are the ones to really mind in that game.

I've never liked Jeopardy but I bought the Wheel of Fortune game the last time it was on sale and it was pretty sweet. I recommend for anyone debating at the last minute.

Also, fuck level 12 of Defense Grid 2.

Which one is level 12? What does it look like? I stopped around there, I wasn't really stuck, just moved on to other games.

Is it the one where there is a spaceship with 6 spawn points?

I wish online was still active. Make the grind to plat a lot more fun.

is defense grid 2 actually fun. It looks really bland for td.

That same Aunt claims our ancestors are from the Netherlands. Unless they were from Wales before that, I am not sure if that one applies, but it it was cool to look at. Thanks.

I realize I still have about 2 weeks to cancel my Vita TV pre-order but I'm really stumped on if I want it or not. I could see some upsides but still not sure the device would get much use. Don't want to get it and just have it sit around most of the time. I guess it could be that I pre-ordered the bundle version as well which makes it above the impulse purchase amount. You guys getting one?

just got a work email from a notoriously rude dickweed and noticed that his auto signature now has in gigantic cursivey script letters:

like some sort of awesome taunt to all the haters.

doing a timeshare on wheel?
dude you know you can always borrow my shares for free man. Just let me know.

@gator it wouldn't be so much of a grind if online was active. It is pretty boring by youself. But for jeopardy, you can just afk wins.

I love those type of sigs in work emails. Easy to spot the douche. Almost 100% fact that those people are brown nosers as well.

Doing a timeshare on that or Jeopardy is probably not a good idea if you want to get the plat. The 50 wins are a hellacious grind. You likely want to break it up some. Just my 2 cents.
plus it's only four dollars and fifty fucking cents. skip buying a coffee one day this week and it'll be just like you shared it.

That's the one, alright. Although I just watched a Youtube video of a guy beating it and realized a pretty big flaw in my tower layout. D'oh! The video was pretty informative, actually, as I haven't really nailed down what are good "all around" towers to just build when you are creating your path. This dude used a bunch of guns and lasers and it seemed to work out. I still don't know what is really going on with scoring though. You're the only other friend of mine who has scores and there are times when I crush what you had and other times I get way less, but it seems like I'm always doing the same sort of thing.

Like tyler said, it is a super solid TD game with a sort of bland presentation (all the aliens look samey to me, and I have no idea what the story is about, although you sort of have to applaud them for even trying to have a story). Any sane person should wait on a sale, I've just really been hankering for a new TD game lately and I had credit burning a hole in my pocket between the PS Play promo and sony rewards.

Im getting it to play some while in bed before I fall asleep.

Remote play on actual controller, yup.

Would anyone be opposed to a full on 80s game show compilation game? Maybe a little Joker's Wild, a little Tic Tac Dough, a little High Rollers, a little Card Sharks. This needs to happen so I can fully regress into childhood.
