I'm on it, I only got in about 20 mins last night. I'm up to Chapter 5. I very rarely quit a game I start these days. At least story wise, not 100%.
and again, I stress, try to avoid reading anything if you can, if you get stuck somewhere because its too hard I can probably help you figure out how to get through spoiler free. If you keep a silenced gun on hand (like the M4 you start the game with) there are actually sections where you can prolong the time before you have to get into a fire fight by killing enemies, with the suppressor on, that are unaware of you.

You mean Brain?

some decent dealds in there - stealth inc ps4 for a jeopardy, metal gear rising for a jeopardy + wheel of fortune, mgs hd vita for ... well, 13.49.

what's the deal with trophies, mgs hd and transfarring again?
You have to be signed in to PSN when you make your first save on the system you're transfarring from; otherwise you won't be able to transfar that data to the other system. I was able to do that for MGS3 after platting it on PS3 to earn the Vita version's plat...but not for MGS2 since I was apparently offline when I made my first save on PS3. I was such an idiot. :wall:

I've been ok so far, it's funny I was using the handgun for awhile until maybe chapter 4. Does the difficulty ramp up significantly?

Is there ANY real challenge to Surgeon Simulator?  Like, do you eventually get kind of good with the controls and start actually playing the game?

Or is the whole game one big gag?

I think I might snag mgs hd vita then. I really want to give it a shot, but I can't imagine I'll ever buck up and use my limited console time on it. I also want to see if it truly is the worst game of all time.

I'm gonna have to bite on SotN, trophies be damned. Never played it. Should be good times in the Vita.

Fun fact...Castlevania was the first NES game I ever bought.

Surgeon Simulator:  I assume they have a nice disclaimer before it starts saying that the game doesnt give you the ability to perform a real surgery?

Damn it.  Finally now that I own a Vita and they have a sale on Little King's Story, but the price is still way higher than it should be to get people to buy the game.  I know I like it, but I can't bring myself to pay that for it.

Brian said Mirror of Fate was okay. I was going to get it but cant. No more PS3 games.
I'm trying not to buy anything either. I've beaten 10 games without buying a new one, which is the first time I've done that since I can remember. I've been wanting to play this one for a while though, and I don't think it's very long.

I got it from EU PS+ and immediately hated it. I think I quit about 20 minutes in. Not saying it's a bad game, but anybody interested should definitely look at it carefully before purchase as it seems like a pretty niche product.

No offense, but if you "immediately hate" a game, I might feel more inclined to give it a try.

Is Silent Hill 1 worth $2.69, or should I just skip it and play 2?

Also curious about Castlevania: Harmony of Despair.
Silent Hill 2 is amazing. It's too bad they managed to screw up the HD release so badly.

As good a time as any to pick up Suikoden to play through the tenth or so time (this time on the Vita). Maybe if they see a lot of sales they'll finally release Suikoden 2.

But they won't because Konami hates America.

I dunno if GTA V counts as "at release" at this point.
The last game he played at release was GTA V. Not just starting it now.

I played it on the Wii. That was why I said I know I like it

It's pretty decent, I like the idea of it, I just wish it had more content (only 6 levels, heavy on grinding the same levels over and over, lots of DLC). If it was $2-$3 I'd grab it and try and find a few people on here to play with. For $6 or $7 or whatever it costs, I'm passing for now.

If you're looking to play solo, definitely pass and wait for it to be cheaper. Would be a cool PS+ game I think.

I had the original SotN (I really wish the acronym was SNOT to match our thread).  I wish I had kept it long enough to sell the damn thing when it was super expensive.

Besides RPGs like FF7 and Chrono Trigger, I like to think I've played most of the "all time great" games.  And to be fair, I've never been big into RPGs in the first place.

I guess Metroid would be my only other really shameful omission, having only played and beat the original.

You all need to get on SotN though.  It shouldn't take more than 10 hours for those of you who writhe at the thought of playing a game without trophies.
