I agree with you that the exclusion is a little weird, but I don't see the big deal. I understand everyone has their preferences when it comes to options like this, but back in the day before the invert option was standard I didn't have much trouble getting used to different cameras after playing a few hours.
I don't see the big deal, either.

Then maybe you shouldn't have posted your thoughts before putting more time into it.

Glad to hear that about Natural Doctrine. I might try it out this evening.
Just as a heads-up; the opening map you're on is required tutorial, but as soon as you get to the first dungeon after that there's additional tutorial stuff that is offered. Make sure you take it. I really suspect that the reason the game gets poor reviews is because people started out not really understanding what was going on and then got lost. Granted I'm not all that far in yet either, but still...nothing I've seen is particularly complicated. I'm wishing I'd started it on Vita but I think it'd be quite a while before it got near the $4 pricepoint I got the PS3 version at.

I actually never played any of the 3d 3rd person games back in the day. I completely skipped that, and never got into games with flying, either. FPS I always played on PC so that was kb+m. The one exception I can think of was Halo, which did let you invert the camera. Every single 3rd person game I've played since I got back into gaming has allowed it as well at least to some extent (Sly for example had the ability to invert the camera but it didn't apply the same setting in some parts of the game). I'm sure I'll get used to it, but it'll take a bit and it's something that causes me to struggle with the controls unnecessarily rather than be immediately comfortable with them.

Would adultery get me out of paying alimony?
No. Because the bitch would say that you forced her to do that because you were cold and unloving or some shit. And then you'd get a female judge who would sympathize with her and double what you were originally prepared to pay. But you could probably appeal and end up going to a real judge who would understand.

Uh...if you think the first hour of a game isn't enough to start building an opinion on the gameplay, then you're more than a little wrong, sorry. An hour is absolutely enough time to decide whether a game is worth continuing with, and knowing whether other people felt the same way about the game in that hour and then changed their minds further in is absolutely relevant.

Would offering to love her every night be considered unloving?

You shouldn't have to offer her anything. Equistina taught me that you just give them some wine, wait until they pass out, and then ram it in there all surprise like. If they complain you say "Shut up bitch I'm your only lover!" And then you threaten to pull your friends pants down or something.

Honestly I am glad I bought it at release because I am also showing my support to monolith.  If this game is a massive success they either make a franchise out of it or make more games like it.  I can only imagine what more time with the nemesis system could bring!

But for an open-world game like Shadow of Mordor, that first hour will vary amongst players because you can choose to go wherever and do whatever. You had mostly so-so things to say about it in that timeframe, but I would echo most of bestkeeper's sentiments after my first hour.

Can I borrow your PUR?
If you aren't joking about this, and you wanted to send me the money (or PSN credit) to cover the cost of the game with PUR I would buy it for you with mine online and have them ship it to you. Who knows when they will have used copies available online for shipping though.

I have let friends locally use my PUR card before, but suddenly having it used in New England somewhere seems like a good way to get banned.

Honestly, after the bit I played last night I am more on the Thermmeh side of the fence with SoM.  I was really fuck ing tired though.  I am sure I will enjoy it more when I am at full power.

Are you able to use the birthday coupon online? If so I would totes take you up on that sometime.

No, you can't, unfortunately.

And actually, I wouldn't mind getting the game from a local GS and shipping it to you at cost + $2-$3 shipping since I have loads of GS credit but would prefer cash. There aren't any used copies of Shadow of Mordor in my area yet, however (surprise, surprise ).

I didn't like Demon's Souls at first, the first hour is all about tossing you in the deep end to teach you to swim, you either drown or you survive and then you get better. Bionic Commando (the 3D one) was also pretty rocky at first (it is always a little rough around the edges) but once you get the swinging mechanic down it is much more fun.

Psycho Break (Japan's name for The Evil Within--I wish we got that name :bomb:) is getting PS4 variants:

The bundle includes a soundtrack CD and steelbook, of all things. :headache:

I'm not broken up over likely not seeing those PS4s here, but darn it, I want that steelbook!

Hey Pete. Check out what I packed for lunch today:

That's right, soon I'm gonna be directly contributing to your income.
Since he's in IT, don't you have to call him with a problem, like whether you should eat Bugles when they're on your finger or straight from the box/bag?

Only 30 minutes until the complaining starts!
How many, "Why do they have to give us Drive Club because we know it is going to suck!?! I am sure due to it being added is why we got 2 more shitty games for PS4 to go with it!!! Why not just give us TLOU remastered." are we going to have to endure over the next week or so.

Of course, I am sure the grammar will be much closer to snakey levels in those rants.

SoM not having inverted (vertical) camera controls is a deal killer for me - thanks to the annoyed guy for bringing that up. I can't get used to non-inverted, it's so ingrained in me. Oh well. Saves me some money I guess.

I am sure you all got the same email I received last night.  Drive Club PS plus price was listed as a $10 discount from the reg price.  So I am not sure why we think its going to be free?

It'll probably be patched in eventually.

CrazyDiamond banged pharm's wife?
It was good until she started sobbing about her husband not loving her, and how all he ever talks about is some Pete character. She also said she would have still slept with him if he didn't have to play more video games last night..idk, so I had that to deal with..
