You can't request a refund? I would contact MS and at least give it a shot.

Otherwise you can buy a bunch of stupid apps if you have Windows 8.
I didn't even consider this, what an idiot I am. This is leftover points from the points -> real moniez conversion. Anyone ever heard of them doing something like that?

I know I got like $20 in refunds from Windows Phone games that got delisted and I couldn't re-download. Not exactly the same thing, but I mean they do actually give refunds once in a while. Definitely worth trying to contact MS support.

if I actually get a refund I'll send you $20 psn as a form of internet high five.
This is true, and I shouldn't pick on Spelunky because it has a very competent single player.
I've got nothing to add to this, just noting for posterity.

Dust looks really good. I really dislike the Metroidvania style of games simply because I hate all the back-and-forth bullshit, though, so I'm hoping Dust doesn't have that same feeling of tedium.
If you don't care about the plat you don't have to backtrack at all. I still recommend doing the backtracking, though, because the game is so damn fun and the Easter Eggs you get for doing it are fantastic, especially for all of us who play a lot of indie games. Even when my save was deleted and I lost 3+ hours, I didn't mind as much as I would have for almost any other game because it was still fun.

And I can't stress enough how good it looks and how responsive and satisfying the controls and combat are. Plus one nerdy gamer made this shit - I mean, come on! What a great game. It ate my save and I'm still singing its praises.

Dust really is a fun game. I only gave it a chance because Tyler and Simmias said it was "great" or at least really good. It is fun for sure. I just wish they used normal people. I honestly feel a little weird talking to rabbits.

Does anyone know....was Marshawn Lynch injured during today's game? He had to be, right? Right? I mean, why else would he only touch the ball 10 times. He had 61 yards rushing on 10 carries....if my first grade math is correct, thats 6.1 yards per carry. I'm not understanding why he doesn't get the ball more.

He had a 35 yard run that skewed those stats bad. for the most part he was getting shutting down all game. but the announcers were even pointing out that they were ignoring the run game too much. especially since Wilson wasnt doing much anyway.

Is there anything missable in Dust? My interest in it has definitely piqued after seeing you, Tyler, and Pharm start it.

you just need to play the hard difficulty. Dont think there is anything missable as you can backtrack. You do have to make a decision early in game and have to play a second time to go with the other option but it is early on. Check the guide on xbox achievements.

Shit. Didn't realize how much space some of this captured video takes on PS4. Accidentally recorded a shitload of video from different games. Since it saves the last 15 minutes it ended up bein like 600mb to 1gb for each one.

So we got two newcomers today?! Wow. We may need to go further into the basement to get away from these freaks.
I pretty much lurked the old thread back in the day, and when the Great OT Migration happened I resolved to start being active in the new one. But then the posts came; 5,000 in the first week alone! I tried to stay current but with a thread average of 438 posts per day it wasn't long before I fell way behind.

While I could've skipped to the most recent stuff it quickly became apparent that among all the opinions on Oreos and derpy Snakey posts there has also been tons of really solid advice for all sorts of stuff. Well after lagging behind for 3 months, I'm happily and finally caught up and want to say thanks to the following for their tips:

backlog_overlord (Deadly Premonition & Far Cry 3)
cleaner7 (Hotline Miami)
mpaulin (Watch Dogs)
myworstnightmare (Infamous)
simmias (Batman:Arkham Origins)
velo214 & handsomepete (Dragon's Crown)
velo214 & professorstotch (Resonance of Fate)
vigilante (Just Cause 2)
zimm108 (Pinball Arcade)

MVP Award to guardian owl for his crazy detailed advice in just about everything. :applause:

I'm sure I'm forgetting a few, but the TLDR of it is that y'all are awesome and I look forward to being mercilessly mocked posting here.

The wife surprised me with Shadow of Mordor for my birthday.  I don't really celebrate my birthday much any more so it came as a pretty big surprise.  I definitely want to play it at some point, but I'm wondering if I should keep it at the $50 price tag.  I was fine waiting for a price drop until I was sitting here holding it in my hands....

It's your birthday (happy birthday!). fuck it, play it if you can tear yourself away from destiny. also your wife is awesome and a little bit of an enabler.

Yeah happy birthday Top. I say just keep the game and play it. It was a gift so don't worry about price drops and trade in values, just enjoy it. Nothing wrong with that.

Oh has anyone mentioned the Arrow dlc for Lego Batman 3? I may go against my better judgement and buy it.

I'm sure it's just gonna intensify my desire for a Rocksteady-developed Arrow game.
