Auto rifle and other weapons are getting a big nerf. It really, really sucks in my opinion that Bungie will ruin weapons for PVE just because they're overpowered in PVP. How about we just nerf everything and make all guns super unstable and only do 1 damage?

Oh and the Templar fight is apparently fixed in the raid. Not entirely sure what it means by increased kill volume, but I guess we'll find out.
 
Ya, that's what dampened some of Dark Souls 2, they toned down some of the spell damage because it was too much in PVP and it makes PvE more difficult. I'm glad I killed Darklurker before they nerfed lightning miracles.

So Evil Within is yet another game with pretty decent review scores that will be conveniently forgotten next time a game with a release date review embargo disappoints.

I was one of the first to say that the combat was too easy, but this guy is a pretty huge dickbutt about it. Just because something is easy doesnt automatically make it terrible.

I still can't view replays (Spelunky) from some friends, like jkam. I was able to see that one run tyler did several days ago, and I can view the replays of complete strangers, so I'm blaming it on jkam.

I just need to get the shield to finish my journal. First attempt I got squashed by it.

Yea that guy might be a douche but i have to agree that once u get upgrades in SoM, combat is real easy and all u do is execute a million orcs.

If they nerfed one thing in the whole fucking game, it should be that gun. Or dont allow that gun in PvP period. Its ridiculous. Try running into a fireteam of 6 where everyone has it. I bet you won't score 1k as a team and you quit before the match is over.

Edit: Bungie can go fuck themselves over everything else in that update. What about fixing the Iron-less Banner problems? I was tearing people up at level 11 tonight, I'm sure those people are super happy that their gear and weapons make ALL the difference.

I'm 3-3 now after starting 0-3. I took down two undefeated teams the past two weeks. SJD talking like it was going to end up being close, but I whooped that fuckboi.

Also, he kept talking shit about Therm starting Louis Murphy, but I think Murphy has outscored every one of SJD's receivers the last 3 weeks combined.

I'm owning to the fact I lost because I didn't trust my lineup. And it wouldn't have been close if Floyd, Cunningham and the Eagles D were they should have been. Good one though. And are you bad mouthing Julio and Benjamin? Okay.

But they won't nerf the enemies in PVE so we can get even more fucked by bullshit enemies with armor, shields, and no weak points.

 
Finished up Metro 2033 Redux. Surprised the good ending isn't canon. Also, playing on Spartan mode, which is easy mode since you get more ammo than you can carry, gives you a gold trophy and playing on survival only gets you a silver. Shit seems backwards. Just another playthrough to go and a few misc trophies I need to backtrack and get bfore this stupidly easy plat is mine. Game ain't too bad though. Shooting is a little off to me, but there are some pretty dope guns you get near the end. A machine gun that fires buckshot? That's my shit.

So do you have a source on this info? The next raid is likely the raid that comes out with the DLC in december, so I wouldn't be surprised at all if a level cap increase is associated with it.

Don't do that. I found out the hard way that if you level up someone is already a warchief they become legendary warchiefs or something and only drop epics. Level up a non warchief to 20 (make sure he has a fear and weakness), then kill the dude he follows and he should take his place. Also, make sure he's killed you before

20 (level) +2 (warchief) +1(revenge) +1(exploiting fear) +1 (having Intel).

I can't pretend that the versus mode doesn't look like fun and a pretty clever idea to boot. looks like the whole thing plays real smooth too.

that pitfall design aesthetic is pretty tough for me to deal with though. color me a graphics bigot, but atari-esque is just not for me and is annoying enough for me to take a pass. if someone shoved it in my face for free I guess I'd try it out.

I'm going to deviate and say that you should give yourself a break from third person shooters - so walking dead (gets pretty good towards the end there), limbo (quick and pretty neat), or the darkness (if you're insisting on playing it - I don't know if it's a 'good' game but it seems that people like it).

all that said, I've never heard of someone not liking shadows of the damned once they've played it. so that seems like a good plan if you don't want a break.

I didn't notice much difference between Spartan and Survival. They're both laughably easy on Normal. I wish they hadn't nerfed the game - they pretty much took out every hard part and every hard achievement from the original.

On the other side, I'm 3-3 after starting 3-0 and now have lost Ridley and Cruz for the year.

And to make this morning worse my fiancé has a sinus infection which makes her snore like a fucking tank, looks like I'm sleeping on the couch the next few nights
 
FYI, The Evil Within appears to have a New Game+ mode, though you can only use it to play on the same difficulty or lower. I'll likely play on the hardest non-Akumu difficulty available at the start (I think you have to unlock that anyway), then do a NG+ run on Survival or Casual for trophy cleanup.

After that, I'll tackle Akumu mode... :joystick:

I get that, but you said you were surprised you were the only one recommending Condemned. I gave you an explanation. I realize it wasnt as scientific as Owl's would be, but I dont know the inner workings of our brains like he does.
