Binding of Isaac saves this from being a completely wasted month, but yeah, that lineup sucks for me. I don't totally regret already buying Luft-whatever and Steamworld since I've already played and enjoyed them. Vita suff looks like junk. I have no idea what Frozen Synapse is...

Not too bad of a month for me, 3 games I don't own.  I suspected Steamworld over 1001 Spikes but was still hopeful.

Frozen Synapse Prime just came out, really sucks for early Vita adopters, especially if it's cross-buy, which hopefully it is.  No idea what the Hungry Hoard is but at least I don't own it.

Escape Plan and Luftrausers suck balls.

Of course the two Vita selections are the shittiest games in the list. They both look like garbage. If not for all the cross-buy titles I'd be kinda pissed.

To look on the bright side, the backlog wont be getting any longer due to the Plus games this month.

Escape Plan was the only maybe on the list for me.  Then I remembered that it seems like everyone on here has said it was crap.  At least it seems that way, or was it just Tyler?

I don't know if there's a rule for those, but Steamworld Dig has a shared list on PS4/Vita, while Pix the Cat has separate trophy lists on the same platforms.
Steamworld is separate, not shared.

There's no hard-fast rule. Do you guys not ready my complaints about this all the time?

What's wrong with Luftrausers? It takes a bit to get used to the controls, but it's pretty fun. Not very long to get all the non-glitched trophies, but a good handful of hours to play. I think it took me around 7-8.
Controls suck and there's no real variety in the gameplay. Feels like a phone game.

I am not really surprised this month would be meh type titles with all the stuff that comes out for the holidays this month.

I am probably reading way too much into it, but I would now be surprised if they do another bargain basement price on Plus for Black Friday again.  If you are wanting to get a lot of new sign ups with a special promotion you do not use this list of games in that month to accomplish it.

I'm debating if I should add the Plus titles and further damn my download list/My Library to hell or not. Tough decision.

Lufrausers is great. Tyler is wrong on that one. I mean it's no Spelunky, but it's very addicting. Controls are fine. Great arcade game.

Hungry Horde looks like a new release. I approve of all games that are released for free on PS+. Might be fun. Hard to tell from that trailer what it will be like.

Would that work like BL2 does?
Yes.

But I'm just speculating. There's no way of knowing if it's separate or shared, and if it's separate if they auto-pop or not. We have to wait and see when the trophy list comes out. But I'm guessing shared. Though I want them to be separate personally.

This month's game's trophies:

Binding of Isaac - Unknown

Steamworld Dig - Separate lists on PS4/Vita

Frozen Synapse Prime - Unknown (crossbuy unknown)

Luftrausers - Shared

Hungry Horde - Not crossbuy

Escape Plan - Separate lists on PS4/Vita

Were you using analog or digital? IIRC digital was the way to go. The controls took a bit to get used to, but made sense from a perspective of the type of planes you're flying--meaning that they can't really stop, only go forward while changing direction.

Both. I finally kind of got the hang of it. The game just isn't nearly enjoyable enough to force yourself to learn the control scheme.

Tyler sucks at games, confirmed.

I like the lineup, but I already have Luftrausers and Steamworld Dig. I don't have any of the other games. Free stuff is good.

Probably Tyler will be inspired to give Luftrausers another try and then have an epic turnaround like he had for Spelunky (though he denies it, we all know he's a big fan of Spelunky now).

They sure are taking their time with that. Not sure why the video didn't talk about the cross-buy stuff. That's a big selling point especially with games that aren't as high-profile like this month's lineup.

I'll go ahead and say Spelunky is way better than Luftrausers cuz I know everyone in here hates Spelunky. So if I say a game is worse than Spelunky, everyone will avoid it like the plague. Like they should. Because Luftrausers is super boring.

That Frozen Synapse list on Vita looks awfully nice. Probably possible to boost MP trophies by yourself if it's cross buy/cross play like Natura Doc

Seriously. Like you said, we have either 5 or 6 Vita games this month. That is insane! Advertise that shit Sony!

I'm most excited for Binding of Isaac, but Frozen Synapse Prime really helps make the month for me.  Good reviews and what sounds like not-overly-complex strategy sounds like a winner to me.  Hungry Horde is icing on the cake, though admittedly the game looks kinda bad based on the trailers I watched.  Maybe it will be a surprise though.

I haven't gotten 3 non-owned games from Plus since August, so I'm fairly happy this month.  Escape Plan is a steaming pile of trash though.

So glad I didn't pull the trigger on frozen synapse the 3 times I almost bought it. Hopefully it's cross buy. Not an amazing month, but I already have enough new releases coming to play.

I'm looking forward to Binding of Isaac, Frozen Synapse and Hungry Horde (I mean, I'll try it, sure). Also will give Escape Plan a try because Tyler is dumb, so maybe that's good too. I already have Steamworld and Luftrausers. I've got no issues with the lineup.

Sony is fucking smart.  The transition is basically complete.

1. Rope people in with a deal too good to be true in 2012 with the IGC.  Get them used to paying $50/year for a subscription.

2. At PS4 launch, require subscription for online play.

3. Slowly dial back the "quality" of free games to save money.

4. Nobody who owns a PS4 is going to leave Plus unless they're willing to abandon online gameplay.

Don't get me wrong, quality is super subjective and I love indie games and I'd prefer more indies than retail releases in my Plus lineup.  Velocity 2X, Dust, and Binding of Isaac alone almost justify the $30/year I paid.  But no doubt games like Escape Plan/Hungry Horde/Frozen Synapse Prime don't cost nearly as much as Dragon's Crown/Arkham City/Bioshock Infinite.
