For yourself I would probably get a xl. It's bigger, the guys seem to prefer it more because of this. I love my 3ds, but apparently it's too small for man hands.

I ordered one of those red 2DSs from Walmart for $79.xx+tax, in-store pickup. Not bad at all, but I'm scared of what it's going to be like to pick it up. Is it going to be a nightmare trying to get somebody that knows what they're doing?

It's not for me - for our youngest's birthday. I wouldn't mind one, though. I'm not allergic to Nintendo handhelds.
I have only done in store pickup once at a Wal-Mart. I was surprised how well it worked. If they send you the email that it is ready, it should be there waiting for you at customer service. Show them the order, they grab it and you are on your way.

It was actually more smooth than any in-store pickup I have ever done at Best Buy. Usually it takes them forever to locate whatever I bought in their seemingly unorganized storage area behind the desk. Once they even gave up and went and pulled another off the shelf.

For all the shit that go wrong inside a WalMart, I have never had an issue with in store pickups. It is usually in their layaway section, so you don't have to wait in that usually massive long line at customer service. I'm usually in and out in 10 minutes.

The 2DS is pretty decent, especially at that price. I don't really care about 3D effects, so it was well worth the significant price savings to pick up this model. It looks like a kids toy, so the design kinda sucks, but it feels sturdy in your hands and plays great. I've never had an issue with hands cramping up, though maybe that is because I have never played it for more than an hour at a time.

Top 10 UK Software Sales (All Formats): week ending November 11

  3. Minecraft: PlayStation Edition
  4. The Evil Within
  5. WWE 2K15
  6. Destiny
  7. Forza Horizon 2
  8. Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor

3rd person action games seem to do well in Europe. It does not surprise me it is doing well over there (same goes for The Evil Within), but I just did not think there would be enough Xbones there for it to be that high.

I'd rather have the coming new 3DS (not XL). Because the screen is bigger but not THAT much bigger (so less pixelated). And I'd use a grip, just like I use a grip for my Vita.

I wonder if that total includes bundles, like how Wii Sports was always a huge seller, but that included the copies that came with the console. Of course if it does that might mean they sold a lot of Xbox Ones too….

I can say that Batman Arkham Asylum is a very enjoyable game...  Loving it and really getting better at the combos thanks to timing instead of button mashing...  story nearly rapped up, then the fun challenge modes which I am not looking forward to... Tried the first couple, stealth are easy but the fighting ones seem tough, any advice?

Typically, those numbers do not include those. The Wii Sports numbers always were huge because in Japan (if not other areas as well) it was not included as a pack in like it was here. People really were buying it as a game.

Vigilante: Insert gif of someone rapping here. Because calling out/making fun of spelling/typos is still super funny.

Spam dodging over enemies (double-tap X) to keep your freeflow combo going, nail your timing so you can get Critical Strikes, and save the Pyramid+Hoop takedown for troublesome (i.e., armor-wearing, stun-baton-wielding, etc.) enemies.

Did store pickup at Walmart for a swingset yesterday. I've done it several times in the past, but never for an item this big. Went well, surprisingly.

I dread putting this thing together on my week off for Christmas.

If the fighting ones seem tough, then you have not gotten as good at the combo timing as you need to be. Also, you get way more points for particular moves in combos. Particularly the ground take down I think it is called. The one where you punch a guy in the face when they are already on the ground and stunned. Once you get used to it, most of the challenges will be easy until the gun lockers, knife guys, and guys with batons come in to play. Then, you'll get past those and the game will screw you over yet again with the time limit on Shock and Awe Extreme.

Tremors on BluRay is $6.96 at amazon today, matching it's lowest price ever. Plus you get an Amazon Instant Video rental of it and that also includes getting $1 MP3 credit. So, yeah, I bought that. I've been wanting to watch this movie again and this was too good to pass up. It's also the first bluray I've bought ever (for me anyway). Tremors. Yeah. I don't usually buy movies, but this was so cheap and I remember loving this B flick….

Also CAG is being dumb. I post and nothing seems to happen. I reload the page and then my post is there. Dumb CAG.

I just bought this too. My wife loves Tremors, so this will go into the Christmas pile.

I have to get Sleeping Beauty BR for the wife this year. $23 for a movie that's 50+ years old. Women and their Disney shit.  :nottalking:

Hopefully I'll get a deal like the free Frozen I got earlier this year from Walmart, but I doubt it.

The Hungry Horde Lurches to PS Vita Tomorrow
We LOVE trophies! It took a bit of persuasion but after seeing the Trophies we had planned our producer at XDEV said “Yes, I’ll make sure you guys can have Platinum Trophy support.”
I love this pretentious trying not to be pretentious gem from the comments:

First off: I respect you devs and no harsh feelings. You probably shouldn’t read the rest of my comment, it is primarily directed against what PS Plus is becoming.
Hungry Horde looks like a wild collection of simple C64 games. Games too simple to raise any interest on their own, since the 90s. But cheap versions of several of those game ideas being bundled together … wohoo!
Sorry, I guess one can register that I’m not impressed. And I’m even less impressed that we are forced to pay for such games via Plus.

Thanks for the advice, Yea I am just getting the timing thing down, I was having trouble because I tried the first two challenges as soon as they were unlocked.

The rest mode thing: we still haven't run into it. We are rest-moding like a boss and no problems. Not that the problem doesn't exist and not that they don't need to fix it, but maybe it's not universal?

Also, Costume Quest 2. I still haven't had time to put into this game, but my kids have played it a lot. Our youngest finished the game (not all trophies) and no Sackboy? We look it up and it turns out that is coming in an update with no announced release date. Well that is pretty f-ing dumb. Maybe I'll wait for the update so maybe I can play as Sackboy while it matters.

Sony has a gun to his head, forcing him to pay for PS Plus? That never happened to me, any of you guys "forced" to pay for Plus?

So playing Dead Nation on a moderately lit piece of public transportation is not ideal.  The dark setting making it hard to see anything, combined w/ dat Vita glare and the tiny zombies makes for hard goings.  Might have to save that one for home time play only.

Surprisingly high. It'll plummet next week, like everyone else said, pretty sure every X1 owner in the UK had to buy it to get it to #2 on that list. Although the UK is the second-biggest country for Xbox after US.

I was going to mention this. Looks like it's the "producers" that are assigned to different games at XDEV that are in charge of deciding what kind of trophy list each game gets.

Wait Sackboy isn't in the game yet? That sucks. Who's going to want a Sackboy update for CQ2 in November/December or beyond?

Man....Didn't you plat that shit twice already?

If you're not watching one of the biggest and most popular shows when it comes out, then it's your fault if you read spoilers.
Depends on where you read the spoilers. If your browsing Game of Thrones or Current TV message boards then yeah.

If you're browsing forums on car repair or home cooking or cheap video games, then no you shouldn't be subjected to spoilers like that.

How're you liking BotW so far?
Only played about 4 levels so far, it's not too bad.

Graphics are really mundane but it controls decently well and provides a fun challenge. Some of the trophies seem close to impossible but that's not a huge issue to me. I'm going to play a lot more tonight, I should have played more last night but I was feeling too lazy.

The biggest issue for me is that in the game you transform back and forth between a human and a wolf, depending on where you are in the level. It's forced by the game, you can't control when you change, but that is fine. What bugs me is that the wolf has a double jump and the human doesn't. So after playing for 5 mins as the wolf and changing back into the human, I completely forget that I don't have a double jump any longer and usually end up hurting myself thinking I can double jump.

I have yet to be able to start mine from rest mode since the update. I've just been shutting it down until there's some kind of update.

Ive had the issue happen before the update and a couple of times after the update. It if gets stuck, just hold the power button. No harm to system yet from it, just annoying basically.
