Yea, my boss asked if I wanted to shadow and do training to try again and get a job in their department and I said no. the fact that it is all women and I was treated unfairly in an interview when HR above all departments should be careful with those things I passed... training in marketing now since that was my degree field.
Why would they need to be careful about not taking a man seriously in an interview? There's about a zero percent chance they'll face a lawsuit while engaging in that behavior.

Patriarchy, oppression, power structures.

So your team is an example of my biggest pet peeve in fantasy football. You're fourth in points, right behind me and Omaha, but 11th in standings because you're unlucky as sin in your head to heads. And people will say you can fix that by going roto, but then you don't get the fun of head to head trash talking (not like we do any in this league, but still).

I think I'm just coming to the conclusion that fantasy football is about to run its course for me. Of course, the problem is that I've been in my main league for years, and it's one of the only ways some of the guys keep in touch in that league after people have moved away, had kids, etc. So I guess I'll have to suck it up and keep doing something I don't really enjoy that much any more just to stay in touch.

Oh well, pointless bitching over.
Last year I lead in points but was 2nd-to-last place due to how each week played out. Yeah, it can be pretty shitty. Then again, football is exactly the same way but people tune into that nonsense year after year. I'm open to playing FF with people I talk to, but there's a reason I don't invest much time or energy into it.

Oh. My review code gave me all three versions, so I assumed it was. I'll check it out. Thanks for the heads up.
Yeah, the code I got was the same way, but I double-checked before posting and none of the versions on the store mention cross-buy and searching the blog indicated the same. It's possible some other regions are cross-buy (though I don't believe so.)

New poll question:

Have you ever clicked "This post is hidden because you have chosen to ignore posts by snakeybro. View it anyway?" and not immediately regretted it?

Other than that DarkAlpha asshole, I don't think I have anybody on CAG blocked. I only frequent three threads, though. :whistle2:

Broke down and picked up Catherine so you can all thank me when it finally goes PS+ in a couple of months.
I've had it for about a year now and knocked it out a while back. I kind of want to go back to it for the other endings and to pick up all the trophies I missed. I probably will at some point. Post how you like it when you eventually get to the game.

If anyone is as hyped about rebirth as I am, Northernlion is one 3 or 4 people with early access to the game and is streaming right now for the next few hours

Did you already buy NFS: R? None of the versions are $19.99 now since that was a Deal of the Day price.
Ah crap, forgot that one was a deal of the day. Guess I'll wait for black friday deals on it then. Or go back to hoping the crew doesn't suck.

Really loving the fast paced game play out of COD, playing on veteran and it really hasn't been too difficult...  The exo survival has been tough, but I could see actually playing with people who know what they are doing and being fine.  I've been getting to 10 with no bodies but everyone is so spread out that they get surrounded and killed.  I have found my best round are when the whole team gets to a corner and covers each side equally.  I think that is key

Will definitely need to team up if people want to try for the 25, 50 wave and bonus wave trophies.  Already have 30 minutes in the heavy suit, and the other are just small grinds.

Thanks again for the heads up. The review has been updated accordingly.

After the Drop the other day, I was confused how Disney Infinity 2.0 was going to be sold as a digital download.  Now with the new blog post it is saying you can buy the digital version and use the old base and play the new Toy Box mode with your old characters.  That is cool, but it brings up a lot of questions that they did not even bother answering in the blog (ie can the old bases from another platform work with the PS4).

Of course, this gets announced right after I gave up on there being any option for avoiding buying a new starter pack and sold my PS3 one to a friend.

BTW, knocked out the story bosses on Demon Gaze last night. I'd already tried the boss 2-3 levels earlier and got slaughtered on the very first turn. A slight gear upgrade and a better knowledge of what one character's skill did (the description for Cross Fix sounded like it prevented movement--nope, it completely binds the enemy so they can't attack or defend) let me completely slaughter both stages in the 2-part battle. I'm not sure if either enemy actually got off a single attack. I don't think they did.

Now there's 2 post-game bosses and three item trophies left to get. Hopefully the item trophies won't take long as that's not a particularly interesting way to spend time. Still trying to decide if I should move straight to Tales of Hearts R or if I should concentrate on Freedom Wars next.  :whistle2:k

Anybody playing FW? Thoughts on it? I've only played the first couple of missions so far. Pretty interesting that far in.

I was worried that thre wouldn't be any sections in this new call of duty game where there aren't infinitely spawning enemies. Then I realized this is next gen! They can throw thousands of enemies at you with almost zero effort.

Sucks to be you people playing on PS3!

So the Evolve alpha finished downloading last night after I was done playing ACIV for the night. I guess I should have left the console on during the day but I forgot before I left for work. Guess I won't get to play it. Sequence 10, 41% overall, and 60% main missions in ACIV though.

If I was to 100% all the AC games I probably wouldn't have to buy many more games each year...lol. I have to admit this has me more interested in Unity though. It's a long game and it's not even including the Aveline missions or the Freedom Cry DLC and I haven't even looked at MP. What kind of crazy sorcery do they use at Ubisoft to make a game this size?

Oh, nice. Just looked at the ToHr trophy guide and you can get the plat in 1 run. That just went to the top of the list. I was afraid it was going to be one of those shitty games where you have to run through multiple times just for additional costumes or some stupid nonsense like that (I'm looking at you, Tales of Symphonia.)

Because the game itself sucks if the trophies take more than one playthrough.

Seems the zombie bonus level can be acquired simply from joining someones game that has riot unlocked and getting to wave 11, you don't even need to survive the bonus wave as long as your team makes it...

Today Bungie accidentally opened up Iron Banner, even though it wasn't scheduled. it was exactly the same as it was before and people flipped the fuck out. They closed it off a couple hours later, but people are still flipping out about it.

If they don't add anything to the gameplay, then the trophy aspect of it definitely sucks.

Good trophies:

Encourage fully experiencing the gameplay.

Bad trophies:

Artificially inflate time spent playing the game.

Tales of Symphonia requires 4-5 playthroughs for the plat in order to get the unique per-run collectibles. That's the exact same problem that Ys: Memories of Celceta had, to give another example. In neither case do the extra runs reveal additional story or gameplay elements. That's bad trophy design.

So Stotch and Matt (and whoever else may have the game), do you guys like Advanced Warfare? I haven't played a Call of Duty game since CoD 3. Might look to pick it up sometime in the future.

Guys, come on. Are you really going to do this again? :shame:

What do you have to do to unlock it?
50 waves on tier one maps, 75 waves on tier two maps, after you unlock tier 2(otherwise they don't count, and then 100 waves on tier 3 maps before you unlock tier four. needless to say, a lot of playing in order to get to tier 4. much easier to find someone who has unlocked tier 4 and play riot with them.

You don't have to do any of that stuff. Play the game once, enjoy it, and move on. No one is forcing you to get all the trophies.

same boat here, hadn't played since BLOPS, and I love it, fast paced and the story is decent. it has been fun so far

The multiplayer aspect is fun and it will remain that way until everybody figures it out... tomorrow. I'll play the campaign later today. So yes, the game is fun, but picking it up late will mean going up against prestiges who will just smack you around. It was yesterday, and the first lobby had level 30s in it.

All around. Sounds like the MP has more of a cooperative focus which makes me a bit more interested.
yes and no, there is still competitive multiplayer, but now they have a survival mode that is similar to Gears of Wars Horde mode. We are talking about it exclusively because the only MP trophies are regarding this mode. So I will stay away from competitive multiplayer and stick to coop survival mode which is fun and could be a lot of fun with people you actually know!

That's not what you said though:

...and nobody is forcing you to criticize what I enjoy or don't enjoy about games, but you still repeatedly do that. I can see how if you want to be really nitpicky about the specific language I used then yes I did say a game with a shitty trophy list is a shitty game, but I think most people realize I was exaggerating there.
