Just did 50 straight waves. Shit was god damn easy. By the time we hit the first 25 done, we had everything we needed maxed out so the next 25 were really easy. Just read up on what we had to do for the survival bonus wave though. Gonna work on that now.

My fiancee took video of the polar bear in the San Diego Zoo swimming in its exhibit while holding a traffic cone on its head. I'll see if I can figure out how to upload video from her phone, because it's awesome.

Nevermind, found an upload that's already on youtube of incident in question. It's objectively the cutest thing of all time.

yeah, that's a crazy gap. i'm ok with it though. i might be able to finish freedom, tales, and hyperdimension by then. hopefully at least play isaac once or twice.

Holy shit, that Jay guy is dope.

wren, I decided to play Golden Axe tonight since I was in between rentals.  I only have the online co-op trophy left if you still want to play a game online.  If you cant stand the thought of playing on the PS3, let me know and I'll find someone else.

Hey ender, do you like Isaac?
I didn't like the original Binding of Issac as much when I played it on PC for the same reason I don't like a lot of the roguelike-ish games, luck, how the rooms are randomized and which items you are given access to (as well as which items you aren't given access to), has too much sway on your ability to be successful on a given run.

Yup, my count was 5. I'm up to 7 now and requested another unit of blood. I took an iron pill and think they'll prescribe some more when I get out to build up my blood count. Just waiting for more blood and tests then they say I should be able to go home tonight.

Medical bills do suck. Even with insurance and my HSA I still owe like a grand from these past few months of tests and stuff. I've met my deductible so now we'll have to see how much this visit costs. I'm trying not to worry about it too much. I can make payments. I'm just happy to finally get answers. I think the problem was a new medication I was trying that was causing bleeding. Hopefully we can find a better alternative now.
Are you vegetarian/vegan/don't eat meat?

Nice. Pc version of Isaac had a save bug and I lost my progress. Good thing it was only 8 hours or so. Also I'm having issues syncing the ps4 and vita versions

Anyone have that tier 4 map unlocked yet?
Just did 75 straight waves to unlock tier 3. Sucks because Solar was the map we did the first 50 waves for the two trophies and none of the progress carried over because it wasn't unlocked yet. I'll probably just aim for playing only tier 3 maps while I get the 50 plays trophy. Shit got boring when you had nothing to spend points on.

Akumu update:

Ch. 3: The Ruvik clone was pathetic once I got him alone, hit him with a harpoon, then lit him up with a match on the ground. Mr. Chainsaw didn't move fast enough to escape repeated spear-trap-springing in that one house, so he died in less than a minute. Why did it take 5 playthroughs to have the easiest fight against him?

Ch. 4: The Incendiary Bolt from the Fighting Chance Pack is so OP, as it made the end-of-chapter arena fight a cakewalk due to the funneling enemies.

Ch. 5: I think I lucked out with a glitch while fighting Laura, as she died from being burned only 3 times (the third time with the big furnace you activate with a lever), despite surviving those same 3 burns on previous runs.

Ch. 6 (beginning): Velo, you might not believe this, but I got past the burning house within 20 minutes. I probably used the absolute cheapest strategy ever to do it, though--waiting for the enemies to cluster together then spamming 16-second-lasting Flash Bolts over and over and over and over until Joseph unlocked the doors. I started the section with 20+ trap parts, and now I have 8 or so, I think.

I stopped for the night immediately after that part since my hands were still kind of shaky. From what I've heard, the rest of Akumu should be much easier.

no one cares

I'm free! It took forever to get the last unit of blood ordered and stuff but they finally discharged me after my count went up to 9!!! I feel a million times better. I've been so exhausted the past month and I feel energized and more like my old self again. I still have a long series of follow ups to make sure my levels are good, but it will be worth it. It feels good to be home.

Are you vegetarian/vegan/don't eat meat?
Nope. I previously considered it, but I like meat. I don't eat a ton of red meat. That wasn't the cause though. But one doctor did recommend eating more of it so I'm going to continue to adjust my diet.

If anybody here has any interest on Interstellar, stay away from any news regarding it. I had some articles about it in my feed and they blatantly spoiled an important plot point just because. The movie hasn't even released yet and all the asshats journos are spoiling the shit out of it.

Thanks for the warning. All I've read on Interstellar recently are reviews that call it "ho-hum" or with 7 or 8/10 ratings. I still plan on watching it at home once it releases on BR/DVD since I wouldn't be surprised if this is another case where I end up really enjoying a movie that critics didn't like so much (e.g., John Carter, Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time, Oblivion).

I suggest John Wick, if you can watch it. Took a chance on a Keanu movie (his high was The Matrix Trilogy) and I'm glad I did. Excellent movie and when I searched the Rotten Tomatoes, critics loved it too, to my surprise. I hope this sparks a revival of his career in a meaningful way.

TL;dr: John Wick 10/10 Vigs.

Yeah, I'm very excited to watch John Wick when it releases on BR/DVD, as it definitely looks like my kind of thing. :bouncy:

Since when is an 8/10 "ho hum?" I hope that's not serious.

I'm not a big movie buff so I'm not overly critical of them, but I really enjoyed that Prince of Persia movie as well.

No, the "ho-hum" part was more from Ain't It Cool's review, which didn't have a final score and seemed more negative than the other reviews.

Overall, it seems like critics dislike the final act of the film, though they (thankfully) didn't go into detail in any of the reviews I read.
