Yeah, sometimes you get alright groups. The group we just had was absolutely terrible. One dude just stopped shooting oracles so many times and wouldn't tell anyone and then be like "Oh well I had no ammo." Ok, so fucking tell us you're having an issue so we can pick it up, dude. He had one fucking oracle he was assigned to and thats the one that kept getting us.

Then Matt and I are trying to explain things to them and one dude keeps saying "No that doesn't work" Oh really? Because thats what we do every fucking time and it works. But no, let's keep doing it your way where you and your pal get shot by hobgoblins the entire time.

Matt, how obvious was it that I was super annoyed by those dudes?

SMH at the weekly heroic/nightfall being more difficult than the raid. I really do hate Dust Palace. I appreciate what they were trying to do but it's just annoying as fuck.
 
Matt/Derek, sorry but I couldn't play with those dudes anymore so I bailed. We can try again tomorrow or Monday if you don't finish. I love when people tell you they're 30s and know exactly what to do and then join up and say "So what do I do with the relic?"

Oh and that blazinarmageddon dude told me he was a 30 and then joins as a 29. Get the fuck out of here with that shit.

I stuck it out longer than you, but I got tired of getting Atheon halfway done and someone doing something stupid. I think I'm done trying to play with randoms period.

Ha. Haha. fuck no. I tried to tell them when you left that unless you gave them the checkpoint they didnt have it, but they assured me they did, that everyone has it. So when the dude loads his shit up, hes on Atheon checkpoint in hard mode. I should have quit right there, knowing how uninformed they are, but I thought "hmmm, he has the checkpoint, must be good enough to get there at least".....but I was uninformed unfortunately. I thought it would be worth the shot though, for the trophy and possible (yeah right) rewards.

we did end up finishing it, finally. got a 30 and a 29 joined. oddly enough the 29 was the best one. i started grabbing the relic towards the end, since every time i'd get teleported in i wouldn't get cleansed.

now i get to make dinner, and dash off to best buy. another almost plat thwarted

Nice. I just dont have the patience to drag something out for an hour when it should take 20 minutes tops. I'm definitely not surprised the 29 was the best. Other than you, I would have thought the game glitched when showing those 30 ranks.

 
Just finished Shadow of Mordor. Wow, what an absolutely idiotic end sequence. Everything from the ship onwards was crap except for the very last line of the game. That was nice. Everything else though...meh.

To be fair the story of the game is bad and only one of the characters are particularly appealing, so it's not a big surprise. The good character is Torvin, btw.

The gameplay ended up being alright by the end (excluding the QTE-laden ending) though nothing amazing. Good game overall if the characters and narrative aren't taken into account (they clearly weren't given much consideration during development, so this is a somewhat fair exclusion, I think.)

 
Like I said, those guys were just awful and I couldn't do it anymore. I'm done trying to do gatekeeper/atheon on hard until I get to 30. I'll run normal raids with randoms because at least if they suck they can be revived. That one dude who was a 30 kept standing out in the open and died by hobgoblins at least 2-3 times before we even got the first portal up. I mean what the hell are you doing just standing there? Thats when I eventually said "Ok guys you know you can hide from the hobgoblins, right?"

lolol. I've used lfg a couple times but it's always a last resort. Those people are terrible. And aggravating. I think the problem is that a lot of them leveled with checkpoint grabs so they haven't the faintest clue how to play legitimately. Oh man, we had this little prepubescent punk join us and by the end I wanted to punch him in the neck. The highlight of his stupidity was when he insisted on dropping the relic so he could use his Titan bubble. The fuck. Not realizing that it has a cooldown once it's picked back up. Another time there was a dude who would not stop repeating the same "free meechie, ho" and "get up out my trap house" lines from this one song. Sang that shit throughout the entire raid. So, yeah, I avoid randoms whenever possible.

Lol. It was truly bad. We were spending who knows how long on the first portal of the Gatekeeper. We would literally have to kill 10+ praetorians before they were done. It was just an unrealistic time period to keep everyone alive while maintaining ammo. We never made it past the second portal.

You can always get the plat if you ever rent it from gamefly. I think you are only a couple of hours away from the plat.

Man, lol. I'm watching this dude on Twitch...he takes viewers and runs the raid with them. He just played the gatekeeper and atheon on hard with a group of total random 29/30 level players. For the gatekeeper, himself and another 30 each went through the portal from the get go, with 2 people outside defending each pillar. All converged on the center after that. It literally took 5 minutes. Another 5 minutes for the atheon fight. Jesus the randoms we're finding on that site suck sooo bad. He's doing normal mode now, but its worth trying to catch him doing hard mode imo.

Ender, you should appreciate this but I beat Isaac on my first try. Then I tried 2 more times with Lazarus and did horrible. I even had a good eye in back of head double shot to start out with on my 3rd game and replaced it with a stupid mouth charge attack, doh. Peace guys and hope every one is doing great.

That's my plan, added it to the top of my list. Just sucks to be that close, and have to rent to finish.

Yeah, we may just have to avoid that site. Do they post videos there too? I've never looked at it, but all the players from there seem to be stuck on doing things a certain way. I think I'm going to stop being so passive, and just push my way in to the more important parts. Maybe I can try to even the odds for us a bit.

Then Derek and I went in that second portal, had the gatekeeper killed in 20 seconds, and they told us the relic had to go in because you can't kill him fast enough. The fuck did we just do then idiots? We would have been back out too if we didn't get trapped.

I was actually watching this dude before I went to dinner. Ended up leaving right before he got to the gatekeeper. He mentioned that he has a lot of people in line, but that he does a lot of checks on them to make sure they can actually run it before he invites them.

Hes pretty good man. Hes running normal now, but has a 25, three 27's, and a 28. Two or three of them dont even have mics and have never ran the raid before. He does checks on people, especially for hard mode, but tries to turn no one down. He's constantly not even paying attention to the screen and makes it look insanely easy. Can pick up lots of good ideas and hints from watching how he does things.

Edit: They're having a rough go on Atheon when him or the 28 dont get teleported, no one else knows what to do with it.
