That doesn't really translate well to pinball. Sometimes you get weird bounces that drain your ball before you even get a chance to hit it. I think play until you feel you have a high enough score works well. You can ration your time between tables to give priority to one you're not as good at. That's how the official Pinball Arcade tournaments work.

I probably would have grabbed the 3DS for the kid and a Wii U for both of us. I would've been happy with that purchase even if the only game I ever played on it was the new Zelda.

 
My plan to try and get GTA 5 failed.  I did get a fast return triggered today, but GTA 5 was already low from the other people who had their games arrive back in I'd guess.  I did get Sleeping Dogs DE instead.  I am looking forward to playing that, but it will likely take a back seat to LBP3.  GTA 5 probably would not have.

 
Gator, which Gamefly plan do you use? I've been considering trying the 1 game at time plan for a couple months to see how I like it. Would it be pretty easy to get what I wanted if I wanted to stay about a month behind on new releases?

I have the 2 at a time plan. The likelihood of you getting new releases within a month, especially on a one a time plan, is essentially 0. You will probably luck into getting a few relatively early on, but it is not terribly common.

I assume you know not to pay full price right? You can buy gift certificates and the cost is only ~12 a month for 2 at a time that way. You have to buy in a 3 month block though. The 1 at a time is like $9 I think.

If you haven't been a member before, I could send you a referral. I think we both get a free month that way. If you are interested, send me a PM with an email to send it to.

Sounds good. In general though, if you are wanting new release games close to release, it really is not the way to go. You would be better off doing the BB quick flip stuff like many in here seem to be doing now. If you are one that is ok with waiting until a game got cheap in the past to play it, then I think it works out better going with Gamefly than trying to do all the flipping tricks.

One example, I have had Shadows of Mordor at or near the top of my queue since release. Finally today it went from Low to Medium. That means I will have some shot of getting it, but if another game near the top is available immediately they will send it instead. Meanwhile, I managed to get Lego Batman 3 at release, but that is more the exception and Mordor is more the rule.

In real pinball tournaments you don't play the same game 100 times. Most work where you have a 2, 3 or 4 player games, and you play a series of games (different machines). The good players win more often. WAY more often in the case of the top players.

Of course. Always depends on what you are looking for though. Some cyber Monday deals have been great. Always a chance for something good though.

ACU co-op pissed me the hell off today.  Some bug made it so that I couldn't do anything useful.  I couldn't attack enemies or interact with mission objectives.  At least the enemies didn't attack me either, they turned around to look at me but then just stared at me.  So that left my one partner (there was another one, but he dropped immediately when the mission started) to do everything.  And by everything I mean get shot every 5 seconds.

Hey Backlog, since zimm won't be around until after 7 and he already has the trophies, I can help you out with tonight. I need those trophies too. Usually psn downtime doesn't stop you from playing games, so we might be able to do it between 6 and 7 tonight.

 
Best thing in the gamestop BF ad is $10 pre owned move controller and B2G1 sale.  6 move controllers for $40!  JS Joust party at my place on 11/29.

 
Sounds like Ubisoft bit off a little more than it could chew with Unity. These 1 year cycles on a game that big are just nuts. I know these games sell amazing but it sounds like the game could have benefited from a little more time in the cooker. 4 was so great, hope they fix the issues. Patch #3 perhaps?

 
Can anybody else confirm DC scores working again, especially 11/13 (or 13/11 if you're weird) scores for Bladadon (lifesong), Blue Arcana and laundrymatt and any you've done in the mean time?

And btw, thanks Zimm for volunteering even though you already have the trophies. I appreciate it. Since me and munky both need the trophies it won't be a waste of one of our's time.

Ugh yeah, looking at the options for store pick up, there are next to none around. I wonder if they'll be shipping more into stores. Otherwise it was pretty dumb to picture the move controllers in the ad twice when they don't have any.

14 stores within 15 miles of me with multiple in stock (judging by none of them saying Low Stock). As many Move systems as sold that nobody seemed to ever play, I thought it would be like that in most metro areas.

Oh whoops, maybe I was looking at new ones, not used. There do seem to be a fair amount, but there's no way to know if the store has at least 3.

You could call and they could tell you. I think there is little chance that there is suddenly a rush on used Move controllers between now and BF :)

I seriously doubt you would find a store with 6, but 3 could happen. Do not bother calling any stores that have the Low Stock marker since that means they only have 1.

yeah I've hit this a couple times too - suddenly all of the face buttons stop doing anything. enemies will be alerted to your presence but they don't bother doing anything. they've made it so hard to jump off a building to kill yourself too, so it's not easy to force a desynch.

They also had some pretty big issues with Watchdogs. Rogue is supposedly very like BF (which I haven't played) but with the MP component ripped out. I'm enjoying it quite a bit. Play that while you wait for Unity to get patched.
