Most people only ever played locally because the only other opportunity to play it online was the Wii version, which worked like shit. I'm pretty excited to be able to have some smooth (hopefully) online multiplayer for Smash Brothers, even if it doesn't beat having a group of friends over for a night of playing/drinking.

Nah man. This is in no way similar to Polanski. Most people know about that. These allegations clearly never gained any traction and Cosby quietly settled out of court, reputation untarnished. Certainly the first I'm hearing about it.

But, yeah, wasn't making light of the situation, it just reminded me of those Cosby GIFs people like to post. Hahaha, extra creepy now.

NBC just cancelled his upcoming sitcom, btw. And Netflix canned his comedy special this morning. Hot damn.
 
Days like today I wish I had snakey's mom and didn't have to go to work. It's just been nonstop meetings all day. And tomorrow will be worse.

fuck meetings.
 
Nintendo gets extra credit in its reviews and mouth-to-mouth praise because the great games are so few and far between.  It's like two siblings, one is very bright and gets great grades and one who struggles with school but tries their hardest.  So if both siblings bring home an A grade, the struggling sibling is probably going to get more praise and encouragement on a job well done.

That being said, both Smash and Mario Kart are pretty awesome games.

re: bill cosby - I wish people would just come to grips with the concept that they don't know celebrities at all. at least not any more or less than the dude that sat three rows ahead of you the last time you went to a movie theater. how can people be shocked by bill cosby's behavior if they didn't know him? because he made entertaining shows for kids? because the cosby show was rad? because he's funny? who fucking cares about the personal business of people they don't know? married or divorced, drunkard or straight edge, funny or a bigot - unless I'm going to hold the girl who checked me out at Target today to the same scrutiny (I won't) I can't bring myself to even be a little bit interested. it's his business, not mine. it's bizarre how much we care about stuff like this.

They are thinking they are still going to be able to play a game in Buffalo this Sunday when this is what the stadium looks like now.  They are supposedly going to get another 3 feet.  Call me crazy, but I don't think they are going to be playing there on Sunday.
