Imagine using mythoclast. Zero charge time, lol. Full auto. It was virtually unstoppable from any distance before they nerfed the shit out of it. I don't use it in PvP anymore. but it's good for knocking out fusion bounties. It's one of the guns they said will get "rebalanced" so we'll see.

Also, I take it you're doing the thorn bounty? I think they "accidentally" nerfed that as well in last week's update.

I think the jetpack is behind him if I remember right. So, technically you don't have to kill him, but it's much easier to kill him if you want that jetpack

Two stragglers means I have to wait a bit to make sure everything uploads correctly.  Hell, if soph started yesterday's run at 4:55, he'd only be about half way done by now and his score wouldn't be even close to posting yet.

 
Things from Soph's run:

I need to use ropes more effectively when trying to create good angles against shopkeepers.

He's better at juggling things (aka shotgun, princess, idol) at the same time than I am.

He's better than me if he's confident enough in going through the mothership world.  Especially since you lose the plasma gun like 3 levels later.

He had so many bombs he could have used on City of Gold for an even higher score!

But he broke the rules soooo sucks that he got disqualified.

When I was doing a last sweep through the level to make sure I hadn't missed anything and saw that the ghost had hit those gems I had a panicky battle of conscience, lol. "Should I grab them? It wasn't intentional! But they're still ghosted! Take them! Leave them! Aaah!" And of course the ghost was hounding me, so it was a stressy impulse decision to grab 'em and run. O:)

I had intended to use the plasma cannon to tear up the City of Gold but forgot that that's not really feasible until I was almost done with the Mothership. It was still fun blowing apart 4-1 though! And yeah, I tend to be reaaally stingy with my bombs if I can help it, unlike Crunchy the Demolition Man. :D

 
oh, and i fell asleep playing demon gaze last night. last i remember i was selling stuff at the shop. when i turned my vita on for the spelunky run, i had rented another room and started making a new character.

 
What would you guys think about doing the next Spelunky contest with more divisions that are set up with more of a random grouping instead of just two based on skill? So say you have 20 people, you could do four divisions of 5 people, with the top two in each one moving on at the end of the week to a playoff system.

I was thinking we'd probably put together something like this. Randomized divisions is a good idea. It probably won't be next month's trophy challenge but just like an ongoing separate contest. Also I'll probably make Crunchewy do all the scorekeeping.

 
Oh, I thought Stotch was being sarcastic.  Maybe I'll play it cautious tonight when I play Spelunky to make sure I beat him.

Stotch, I'm down to finish the Thorn bounty tonight.  I'm sick of that taking up a bounty spot although I guess it matters less now.

Also, only four more circles left for my Gjallahorn to max out.

Finally, being a level 30 in Iron Banner is great, you can take a beating.
