I really need to raid...
It can be pretty frustrating. At least it was for me. I haven't had time to watch that guy's Twitch stream but want to do that before I subject anyone else to my abilities (again) in the raids. I think I would actually try it with my Warlock next time. He should be upto 28 shortly and I think his jump/glide would work better for me in section before the end.

Wow you and Soph are close, Soph has made some great runs to catch up. Ugly and I can possibly play spoiler if one of us can actually put together a decent run and top one of you. Seems extremely doubtful.
How can either of you play spoiler? Even if either of you get 5 and they get the bottom scores, they still win with just 1 day to go. It is a 2 person race for 1 and 2 and between you and ugly for 3 and 4.

Can we make a new Spelunky category for me? Absolute fuck ing beginner? Lol.

No Infamous 2 last night, hopefully I can finish it up over the weekend.

I got my Fire TV Stick as well but didn't have time to plug it in or check it out.

Between this and PS TV I'm starting to feel like a lot of electronics are hitting the same bullet points, not even mentioning laptops, phones, and tablets. Probably don't need much of anything else ever...$19 was hard to pass on though.

Play spoiler means we're already eliminated from winning, but we can still affect the outcome. But after looking at it, we can really only try and spoil crunch's win.

Say Soph gets 5 points, me or Ugly miraculously beat crunch and get 4, and Crunch gets 3 then Soph will leapfrog Crunch for the win.

Really, we can only possibly spoil things for crunch. But that should be enough incentive for me and ugly to pull our heads out of our asses.

I like the idea of the next Spelunky tournament being a knockout or single/double elimination tournament or something. I'm sure there's a website or something that could be used to run it, but I'm not in the know of such things.

They use this saying in baseball a lot (best example I can give) for teams who have no chance of making the postseason, but have a chance to affect who actually makes it by playing well and beating teams who are in contention.

You can do like a playoffs with the pro division. Let (1)Crunch and (2)Sosp have a bye and have (3)Tyler vs. (6)Jkam and (4)Ugly vs. (5)blab.

Yeah, that is the context I am used to, but I did not see how it applied here. Tyler's post makes sense though. Since crunch really controls his own destiny in this one, I did not think how they could make any difference. If he chokes though, they can certainly change things with positioning and help Soph win.

Apparently the NewEgg app is designed to make a perfectly serviceable website much, much worse. Also, even though there is a newegg app for iOS, and you can use Google Checkout, it doesn't appear to give you the $15 off. They are insistent on Android.
Maybe Google is paying a portion of the $15 off.

Amazon matched Walmart's $9.96 price on HtTYD2, if any of you have Prime and would rather spend Amazon credit or save on tax. Marylanders no longer qualify for the latter. :wall:

I only have one Vision of Confluence and it is equipped on my Warlock. I like that it fires pretty fast. I haven't used it too much though so it isn't fully leveled up yet. I think it will be pretty sweet when it is.
You like the rate of fire on VoC? Heh. That's probably what annoys me most. But yeah, it's pretty good otherwise. Critical hits are a blast to get and it's even more of a beast once you unlock dem stabilizations haha. I sure as hell don't need 4 of them, though.

Speaking of firing rate, not sure if others knew but if you fire the Suros manually down the sights (instead of full auto)...it fires as fast as it would from the hip. Not sure if that's a glitch or what.

I didn't have enough coins or motes (which ever it is) needed to buy the Suros the first time it was offered. I think it was offered a second time but I bought something else. I do want to get it eventually though.

Sounds like me, you, and Stotch all have some ideas for this. We'll PM about it once this contest runs it's course.

I've gotten into a really bad habit at work.  I put reminders of little things to do on my Outlook Calendar (marking myself as Free) just so I get a reminder about it later.  This is great, but then I tend to hit snooze a lot on the reminders because they are pretty insignificant little jobs that need to be done at some point at the future.

Well now I've gotten into the habit of not paying attention to my Outlook calendar alerts that pop up because of all these little alerts.  What happens is an important meeting pops in there and I completely ignore the alert for that meeting and end up being late.

Definitely gotta break out of this habit.

Alright. Equinista, chewy, elder and.. whoever else has a Wii U should post your names. I'm working at home today so I can send friend invites now before I forget. Cainiac should do the same once he gets his account set up.
My name is the same: equistina

When do we wanna do this?

My hubby might want to play too if that's cool. He likes Mario Kart :)

I suck balls at pinball.  I may be a participant in it at some point but I'm certainly not going to be laying any groudwork for it.

And any future spelunky tournaments will probably take place outside of the monthly challenge.  I'm not entirely against doing a pinball tournament for the monthly challenge, but besides those few tables we got free over a year ago on PS+, there's not a whole lot that most people will have.  Plus I want to at least see what all the December plus games are first.

Ugh.

I don't usually bitch about specifics at work, but:

PERSON A emails me asking if we're starting a recruiting campaign for Spring.  I email back and say I haven't heard anything yet but I'm going to talk to PERSON B in Marketing next week to get it started because I think we should.

Instead of saying "OK, sounds good.", PERSON A then emails PERSON B, me, My Boss, and PERSON A's boss that she thinks we need to do a recruiting campaign and we should get together and get the data pulled and get started.

I'VE GOT THIS!  I CAN HANDLE THIS!  WE DON'T NEED A fuckING COMMITTEE TO PULL A RECRUITING LIST!

Jesus Christ...
I really, really wish you had been placed in the Pro division.
But then I'd be a loser like everyone else except Crunchewy and possibly Soph. I really don't think I'm that good. I'm just cautious and take my time collecting as much as I can. Maybe there should be 3 divisions: Heavy, middle, and lightweight. I can head up the middle. I'm not as good as most of the pros but have more experience than the newbies.

not just that but could person A also be hoping that they get credit from supervisors for being proactive and doing what you are supposed to be doing? Just saying might be even worse then just pulling a committee...

I put reminders on my calendar in outlook. I sometimes snooze a lot but I never let shit sit overnight. I delete it or move the reminder to another day in the future.

I think everyone should be "equal" (no novice/pro) in future Spelunky tourneys. Now that most have played it a good bit due to this one I don't think there is a clear way to distinguish this anymore. If you don't feel you're good enough, play more and get better. Just my two cents.

Here's the combined standings through Day 5:

Crunch is a little bit ahead of Soph on this one because Soph had a couple not-great days, whereas crunch has never finished lower than 3rd.

Uglypete and I are tied in this one, but he is about to nosedive due to an awful Day 6 run.  If Cleaner's score is above Ninja's, then she could gain as many as 12 points and even leapfrog him in these standings.

This shit happens a lot in corporate america. The person that emailed you is a brown noser and most likely a good for nothing shit head that doesnt really do any work.

I think when we finish this up I'll play through Spelunky so next time I know what the hell I'm doing and it'll be way more embarrassing when I suck.

At least I'm above Zimm. Hopefully that won't really change based on Day 6 when I died $100 short of his score.
