I have inside knowledge of Netgear products from a friend and personal experience from one I bought. I now avoid anything they make. I would not be disappointed that you missed out on that one, but many people have good experiences with their stuff.

You want one that works? Buy a better router. Those repeater things are a disaster 9 times out of 10.

Bought my first DVD in years, a $2 copy of 21 Jump Street. I still overpaid.

Also got Dishonored GOTY which was really the only thing I wanted. So glad I didn't bother to stay up all night for it, I was able to buy it around 830am when I got into work.

Party mode is pass the controller couch play. So you enter party mode, set 8 players, and then play with yourself as 8 people for 8 rounds in order to get them all.

So I still can't get Knack.  Only available for in store pickup and Kmart.com is giving me some weird error about it not being available at every store I choose.

Does Best Buy PM Kmart?

Ahh, thanks for the clarification. I still think RPG sucks to boost with in case anyone couldn't tell. I just felt like saying it again.

I second that. Another solution though to a repeater would be one that works with an electrical outlet. You can connect these directly to your router for a hardwired connection netting you better speeds. Something like this:

Not having a mic is one thing. Vig never was an issue last night without one. His lack of one only caused a problem for himself in trying to get the 10 challenges. People had to go lead you to where to go and you still took forever after they did when the task was easy. Oh yeah... maybe you didnt know what to do without a fucking mic!

If by good you are meaning you made the jump faster than me, you would be right you were better at that part than me. You get a gold star. I would still bet large sums of money everyone on last night as well as everyone from the Batman clusterfuck would prefer boosting with me again than you.

That the one? Yea, been looking at it but damn thats a lot. No real issues with current wifi, just want to get up to N speeds as im still on G.

House is wired too so anything that needs a good connection gets wired (apple tv, roku, ps4, etc)

How well do those things work? I'd think there'd be interference, but I don't know anything about networking.

Final Spelunky results are in the OP.  Congrats everyone, I think it went pretty well, even considering the stupid leaderboard issues we had.

Yeah that's the one I have. It is pricey. I see the newer AC routers are even higher. If you are going to upgrade you might as well go up to AC, future proof yourself a little. If you have a lot of wired stuff you don't need to go crazy with the wi-fi then.

As an FYI before the Dark Knight I had a TrendNet router that cost me about $15 (I think) which was great and worked 100% until I upgraded, they've gotten mixed reviews but you can't beat the prices. If you are looking for something cheap...Here is an AC one for $36.

I was reading the Skylanders Trap Team review in Game Informer. They had this info in the sidebar, and it boggles my mind.

As is the case with all playable characters in the Skylanders games, playing as a villain comes with a real-world price. To add one of these characters to your roster, you first need to purchase a trap gem (MSRP $5.99) that must be plugged into the Traptanium Portal. There are nine different elemental types in this installment – one of which is reserved for endgame exploration and content. To truly appreciate the full game, you’ll want all nine trap types. That looks like a girl's shoe because of that high sole. Other than that and the different symbols on the shoe they are both the same. So the fact you pay a shit ton more for one over the other is crazy to me. But to each his own.

 
yeah my dark knight router (picked up from awd) randomly reboots but the signal gets further in my house than anything else I've had so I'm willing to tolerate it.
