If you are looking for a gift, if there is a game you still haven't picked up that you were interested in that is a greatest hits ($20) put that on your list. It's not going to get that much cheaper and should be fairly widely available.

To all those who followed my Target PSN card deal math advice, enjoy your 2 years of plus / 1 year of plus + $50 in software for $34.06 each after credit via 2x $50 PSN cards, the buy $100 get $15 is back on through Dec 2nd.

Crap should have bought the games today instead of yesterday.

What was your Target math deal?

I guess I'll do some Vig/Bestkeeper style updates on my GTA V install progress. Because I know you guys love getting incremental updates about absolutely stupid shit every 20 minutes.

20% after an hour! fuck yes, this is next gen, baby!!

What was your Target math deal?
I have to imagine it was 'Buy 1 $50 PSN card, get a 2nd for $37.50'

Redeem all $100 on your account and spend it during the $15 back promo, so you really got the $100 for $72.50. Even less if you had additional discounts from Target, such as 5% off with Red Card.

Last week (or maybe the week before) it was buy 1 game card get the second for 25% off. With a red card you get an extra 5% off both $50 PSN cards. So one card is $47.50 and the other is $35.63. Then you spend those two cards via a combination of PS+ and software purchases to get another $15 in credit back from that promotion which makes the net price $68.14 or $34.07 per $50 card.

When does the target deal end or did it already end?

Edit: nevermind looks like it is over.

Target had the deal where if you buy one GC you get a 2nd at a discount. It was last week or the week before, I forget which.

Edit: Ninja'd. Would have seen but the "Show Posts" functionality doesn't appear to work anymore? Damn CAG being broken all the time.

That is a lot of math. I am glad I am not one of those people that hates math. But I am not sure if I will continue to say that if you come up with too many more of these scenarios! Good job.

I did not realize how terrible I am at Geometry Wars. I can barely get two stars, it must be because I'm asian I can't get a full view of the screen.
I imagine geometry wars is best enjoyed with clockwork orange style eyelid clips anyways, so try that.

and yeah, geometry wars is hard as hell but really fun. they give you just enough leeway to get in to a good rhythm and then suddenly you blink and the screen is full of crazy shapes trying to mess you up.

I also just had gingerbread Twix. At first I couldn't tell a difference, but then the gingerbread taste hits and it's just kinda meh. I definitely prefer regular ones.

Gingerbread Tix are a "not buy"

Thanks for watching Leonard's food reviews.

3D feels even harder as some shapes just come out of nowhere. That cylinder level just threw me off.

Good thing I saw that buy 100 get 15 deal too, I completely forgot to make my normal Monday PSN purchases. Picked up ME1, Crysis 1, and the Burnout Bundle (had all the DLC on gameshare, but now I can use the DLC on both my PS3s) and now it will count (though I don't imagine I'll get to $100).

Last night I learned that every other line in almost all of the songs Jay listens to have a "mutha fucka" thrown in. And I guess it takes some sweet rap skills to rhyme "mutha fucka" with "mutha fucka" 17 times in the same song.

pretty sure that wasn't there when i almost bought the stuff yesterday. i wonder where/how these codes will get out/work.

You guys really post a lot. I was gone for maybe an hour and now there's all these posts.
This thread is like instant messaging but if we used IM we wouldn't be able to re-read how witty we all are and see our "likes" in each post forever.

With the Dark Souls 2 PS4 announcement I'm starting to think if we all hold out long enough our PS3 backlogs will be on the PS4. :)

Velo stay safe!

I stayed up later than usual last night, spelunky bug is back...I'm in training for round 2 (whenever that may be).

I saw that last Tuesday when I bought shit on sale. Maybe an Xmas gift for 10% off or something for "loyal customers" like that free $10 spot they did last year.

23%!

Averaging 1.5% every update, so what am I looking at here, a 17 hour install?

So hyped for this next gen experience!
I haven't been paying attention. Are you talking about just installing GTA 5 on to PS4? Is it off of a disc? I installed mine the day it came out and it didn't take any longer than a normal game (maybe 5-10 minutes).

you could probably go grab a notepad and #2 pencil and write all the necessary ones and zeroes to play the game before it's done installing. just show the paper to your hard drive or something (don't forget to yell 'See? Like this dummy!') and it'll start playing right after that. technology is so easy.

Jurassic World - We finally got all the regular dinosaurs under control, enough to have a full theme park that's safe. Soooo let's just make a super dinosaur that can destroy the park and put everyone back in danger. Phew, almost didn't have a movie plot, good save. Hmmmm, yeah great idea.

Was just gonna post that. That looks like it is going to be freaking awesome. Even if I do have some mixed feelings about a genetically engineered super dinosaur.
I know, right? Bringing back shit that's been dead for millions of years is one thing, but you don't fuck with genetics. That's just wrong.
