I like games about the gameplay, but neither really tells you what the hell is going on. I decided to put them off.

I started KZ:M and played about ten minutes before my lunch ended. It's really pretty.

Luftrausers is simple survival.

TxK -- you roam the edge of the geometric pattern, and enemies come at you from the center. F eor the most part, it's best to destroy them before they get to the edge, though you can still kill them there. The first several levels have tutorial messages. There are advanced strategies for high scoring, etc. but those are the basics.

You stopped playing because you didn't like an optional quest?

I'm not sure I've ever met an 'optional' sidequest in a rpg, ever. I do them all. Plus I was planning on going for the plat, and that farming crop things just seemed ridiculous. I also don't like fishing simulators. I'm sure the game is great, based on everything i've heard, it just didn't engage me enough to care.

Renegade Ops was pretty fun from what I remember. DLC for it is worth getting since it was free anyway. Same for Costume Quest.

Also, I like mutant mudds, but I'll take double jump over jetpack any day.

I am glad someone likes some of the games I listed. I forgot we got them for free too. Def makes the DLC worth it. I also agree that double jump is better but mostly because I am just more used to it from 25 plus years of games.

The big boys haven't been playing well in this round, the second place teams have been playing extremely well, and the gap between the top tier and second tier isn't as big as it used to be.

Nier is great, you really should give it another chance. Save the crops and fish for the end if you want the plat. And not to sound disheartening, but those parts aren't the worst of it as far as the plat grinding goes.

The story is tremendous, especially when you unlock the additional playthroughs. Calling it a farming/fishing/whatever simulator lets me know you didn't play it nearly long enough to give it a chance, which is weird if you're used to RPGs.
