Well, in theory, sure, endless rentals would theoretically make more than straight up purchases. But the vcs/dvd/bluray rental service didn't stop people from buying media, and the physical media doesn't stop people from buying digital. And all go on sale.

There's no reason to think psnow will stop psn sales. People thought ps+ would do crazy stuff like that too, and it doesn't.

More to the point, psnow seems to be primarily aimed at people that don't already own ps devices. So, for example, casual gamers, steam/ms gamers, etc. that want to play a PS3(and more) game on their bravia tv or tablet can pay $x to rent it without ever needing to invest in hardware. Or ps4 owners that don't own a ps3, etc.

People that already own the hardware will almost always be served better by just outright buying the game, physically or digitally. Sales will still happen.

 
i didn't know there was a Battle Royale sequel.  I imported the original back when that's how you had to get it, read the book too.  Will find this.

And there are definitely badly written enjoyable books.  I am Legend comes to mind... terribly written, imo, but some great concepts made for an enjoyable story.

I wasn't commenting on the quality of writing. The story is just better suited for a book as is the case with a lot of adaptations. Still a decent movie, though. A lot of what happens is internal dialogue so those moments were obviously lost on the big screen. Second movie is definitely an improvement.

No, you're right ...she was fantastic in Winter's Bone and deserved every bit of the praise. But since then I've felt like the press has tried to force her down our throats. They do this every so often with certain people. Drew Barrymore and Renee Zellweger come to mind. No way in hell she should have been nominated for an oscar for her American Hustle role. She was aiiiiight in Silver Linings.

i played the original two crimsonland games. they were amazing back what, ten years ago? heres hoping its as good as its predecessors.

I saw Silver Linings first before I even knew anything about her, and I thought she was really good in it. Then I saw both Hunger Games and still thought she was great. That's all I've seen of her though.

Finished off the last few Book of Fables entries to get the plat for The Wolf Among Us. I hope Telltale does a better job finishing off this season of The Walking Dead, in terms of bugs, than they did with TWAU.

Battle Royale was enough for me I didn't crave the sequel at all. Requiem is just another slaughterhouse.

Crimsonland is crossbuy, eventually coming to vita.   I'll bite on the ps4 version at... hmm... 9.99.    Otherwise I'll wait for it to be on both before picking it up.   Definitely want to support dual stick shooters on my ps4/vita though, need more.

I'm hoping the rumors of Soldner being ported to vita are true.   Not dds, but I'll take shmups too.

I thought Silver Linings was overrated, too. The hype may have ruined it for me. Entertaining but none of the performances struck me as Oscar worthy. But I'm a bit of a grinch so most romantic comedies do nothing for me, lol.

You really should check out Winter's Bone if you're a fan of hers. She KILLS it. Such a good movie and if I'm not mistaken it was her first role.

I've been meaning to watch Battle Royale. Think it's on Netflix. Once I heard it was similar to Hunger Games I kind of lost interest. Probably do that soon.

I've been hovering around 80 with the same person in front of me forever. I passed him when I got the platinum for Disney Infinity, and then 2 other people passed me. 1 step forward, 2 steps back. Then I started Arkham Origins, and that will definitely not help my rating. I might move back to Wolf Among Us soon now that all the episodes are out, I loved the first one.

Well, I managed to finally get Terraria co-op working. It was something on his end, actually. Never did say what. Anyway it works flawlessly so scratch what I mentioned earlier. Most bugs have been corrected with the 1.2 update.

I need to take some screenshots of his world, man. Shit is AMAZING. I didn't even know half the stuff was craftable and I've put countless hours in. Now I'm beginning to think material availability and certain enemy spawns are largely contingent on world size (I'm on small). Just something to keep in mind if you haven't started yet! Small has the advantage of being easier to traverse though.

I made the same offer in the "other" thread, but if anyone needs materials/ore I don't mind giving you some higher level stuff. I also have most of the pets.

How do I get the pets? I'm great at murdering all the animals but what else am I supposed to do with them?

It has been a while since I have played and there have been some content updates but I would imagine that with a small world some of the biome regions will be smaller so that as you are traveling around you may be going from one into the other often enough for certain enemy spawns to not trigger while with a larger one you could be in an area for a while long enough for the enemies in question to spawn. Just a guess though. I agree on the material availability.

I had started with a small world just because I felt like I could learn the game a bit better that way and then take that knowledge into larger size worlds since you can just make a new world and take the same character in with your items.

That makes sense. I've barely seen any unicorns on my small world but his had a few (and this was one just from one session). But like you suggested my hallowed biome only lasts a few seconds. Same for corrupted slime. So I'm definitely going to start a new world soon and plan out how I want to build it. Probably use another strictly for farming out stuff. Wasn't aware at first that items carried over so it won't be too bad.
