I know what the new version is. I'm saying that Rockstar only cares that they already have a version of San Andreas for sale on PS3 and don't have to do any extra work.

 
I was planning to buy The walking dead for the ps4 on disc, but that vita version looks cheap. Is there much difference between those 2 versions? What would u recommend me to buy?

But they already had a version on 360, and they did the extra work to switch it out. I don't understand your point.

Didn't the Xbox Originals version get delisted? They had to make something to replace it if they wanted to keep selling it on XBL, so they ported a phone version to Xbox 360. My point is that they prefer to take the cheapest route possible to get it onto these systems and a PS2 ISO in an emulator is cheap enough for them on PSN and a phone port is cheap enough for Xbox Live. This is still the same company that charged outrageous prices for PSP versions of their games on PSN when everybody else had dropped prices to more reasonable price points.

Is there any particular reason why I should buy Disgaea: Hour of Darkness instead of waiting for Afternoon of Darkness, aside from price?

 
Good deals this week. I'm tempted to get Catherine and RE: Operation Raccoon City, but my internet's been so slow, I'll probably pass for fear of how long downloading them will take. Guess I'll just get the physical copies at some point. 

Castlevania: SOTN is one I missed during the PS1 days, so I may pick that one up, especially for a measly $4.99.

If price isn't an issue, then AOD has more content than the original. It just doesn't go on sale anywhere close to as much as the original game.

The rumor even before it got delisted was that it was happening to make way for an HD port. Doesn't matter to me since I bought it for $4 on XBL.
 
After playing the PC versions of GTA, I cannot go back to playing the console versions due to the draw distance issue. I find Vice City Stories rather unplayable.

Anyway, looks like I will finally buy Puppeteer and Catherine this week.

 
Is there some special order to buy the Zen Pinball 2 table (PS4/PS3 or Vita first)?

I seem to remember you had to do it in a specific order to get cross buy to work or something?

 
I was ready to pull the trigger on How To Survive and, while checking the PS blog, I stumble upon news of this new fangled Storm Warning edition coming out 11/4 for PS4... Nice try Sony, you almost had me.

You should get Afternoon. In addition to additional content, it's on psp/vita - and Disgaea is infinitely better suited for a handheld.

 
The way they've revamped the games listing is sort of like Steam. You have the 15 most recently used items on the main bar and the rest are in the Library, which shows every PS4 game/demo/app tied to your account with the download arrow on items that are not downloaded. It still needs some work like an option to just show everything that's installed and maybe custom categories like Steam, but it's a nice start.

 
Advice on the $45 3 year protection plan for ps4?  It's a launch ps4 and has given no sign of issues, but just today we had a 1 second power outage that reminded me shit can happen.  

I've got almost nothing spent on the 100/15 sale, so I'd use it as a springboard to buy a bunch of games/dlc that seemingly never go on sale.  I don't really want to spend $100... and if not for the protection plan sale I'm pretty sure I could resist it.   

Thoughts?

The protection plan only works for systems purchased within the last 30 days.

Ya. Totally worth it. Sort of twisted survival horror-meets-point and click adventure-meets-visual novel games. With some amusing quirkiness thrown in here and there.

Buy them you will not regret it! That series became one of my favorite!

The first Corpse Party game is perfect in all ways. Book of Shadows can be a bit meh because most of the chapters are bad ends also its a visual novel, but beside that around 3 chapter where good and the secret chapter is the best cliffhanger ever.

Only the accidental insurance protection plan has that limitation. The non-accidental plan is available for a year.

"In order to qualify for the Non-Accidental damage plan, you must have purchased your new PlayStation®4 or PlayStation®3 console within a year from the date of purchase, and have a valid email address associated with your PSN ID."

I think I've decided to pick it up. $45 isn't that much and it's been long enough since the initial expenditure of $400 that mentally it doesn't feel like adding directly to the cost of my ps4. Besides, if my ps4 broke in a few months I wouldn't be able to buy a new one for awhile, which would suck.

Has anyone noticed that when you delete a game now off the hard drive it removes the game data because I was checking to see if The Evil Within save file was intact and it disappears when you remove it but when you boot the disc back up it reappears. This the 1st game I've seen this done with and I'm sure or has to do with the update because my Shadow of Mordor file is still there when I deleted the game.
 
Welcome improvements in todays firmware update. I had quite the content area to navigate. Only real nit is wanting the option of deleting free to play and the ilk from the content library.

The themes are cool, i dont know what it is about the red neon border when highlighting stuff but it is like red candy to look at. Do like all the free themes as well, nice ambient music from most.

One thing I really enjoy is the new usb music player. It seems it gets along great with my PSP GO. Able to browse exactly the same file/folders directory as my GO. Also able to charge and operate quite easily simultaneously. Was hoping they would include some visualizer or something snazzy but oh well. Anybody know the resolution of the album artwork you can use to spice it up?

Well I hadn't wanted to leave it this late but it's done, ended up at $102.73.  Hadn't realized that Corpse Party Book of Shadows was a straight up visual novel and wasn't sure how I felt about that so I decided to wait on it.  Ended up scrambling around and deciding on Valkyria Chronicles 2 and Patapon on top of Dracula X, Corpse Party, and Home.  So basically I bought a bunch of PSP games.  Was going to buy Trails in the Sky but I couldn't quite make it work without going way over $100 so I'll continue to wait on that.

Also Valkyria Chronicles 2 and Patapon sale confirmed for next week.

 
Anyone have any feedback on Castlevania: Lament of Innocence?  I'm considering that and Dracula X Chronicles (I already have the PS1 SotN & Castlevania Chronicles).

It's basically evidence that Koji Igarashi has a time machine, as he managed to create a really bad God of War knockoff two years before God of War. :p At that price, if you're a fan of the series it's worth checking out for the story though. It establishes where Dracula came from (in the original timeline - Lords of Shadow is a separate continuity).

 
I Am Alive is pretty good especially at that price.  Mix of The Last of Us with some Fallout 3 atmosphere.  It can very difficult in parts due to the climbing sections.

I think if you're going to compare it to two of the most loved games from that generation more people are likely to be disappointed.

There are a few downsides. One is they changed the voice actor for Etna i belive. A lot of people prefered the original. Also, more seriously, theres a glitch in afternoon that freezes the game if you do too many counters that is not present in the original. Think there were more but those are the two that stand out

 
I'm really liking the boat theme and music, these themes are super impressive, hopefully they keep this level of quality for future themes.
