Man, what a fucking crybaby. Who fucking cares.
"Loyalty" programs never work out for companies unless they firmly define who qualifies and who doesn't and make sure everyone who does qualify gets what they should get. Same thing happened when Sony gave out $10 PSN credits to "loyal" customers several months ago, there was huge backlash from those who didn't get it.

People need to get over that, seriously. They don't follow some magical percentiles to give this stuff out. They don't go to PSNprofiles and get the guy with the least amount of Hannah Montana platinums.

Seriously, some of the people posting their god damn gaming resumè so they can justify acting like entitled children is embarrassing.

I'm glad it's happening, since it's happening to Microsoft. :)

I finished up God Of War III. Great game, I'm really glad to be catching up on my back log somewhat finally. After complaining about Jet Set Radio on Vita I gave it one more try and to my surprise I'm now into it. The controls are still annoying but its got a lot of originality and the visuals are eye blinding and awesome on the OLED.

What's this hamsterball game? Better than Marble Madness? Is it on sale?

A game I regret paying $5 for a long time ago because I was either hard up for a sale or just buying everything that ever went on sale. No it's not better than Marble Madness. No it's not on sale now.

As soon as a person hears loyalty program then its only about ME,ME,ME,ME,ME,ME.

Today I'm doing a PS4 Preview live stream where I'll be playing some of the PSN games that will be out for the PS4 at or shortly after launch (Awesomenauts, Flower, Pinball Arcade, and Trine 2), so tune in if you want to see what to expect from them:
Guess I'm dumb because I never understood how to play awesomenauts. I have Flower & Trine 2 but never beat them, so I'm saving those for PS4. Hopefully Pinball Arcade won't remain as ugly as it is now.

Listening to Wombat complain is like the other CAGs that say BB didn't send me the $5 free cert or I didn't get the free PSN credit. You win some and lose some. If he supported MS from the beginning and didn't get the free game then MS doesn't care about him or his loyalty. He just needs to stop supporting a shitty company.

Instead of complaining about this, Wombat needs to relax and go listen to some PHISH!
Man, what a fucking crybaby. Who fucking cares.
lol, you guys are missing the point. Yeah, it's silly as hell to complain (over what appears to be a mediocre game, anyway). I was only trying to point out that they don't always fawn over Microsoft. I've only been listening for 3 weeks, so maybe it'll come out soon enough.

Wait, you paid for that? We need a CAG hall of shame. I got with PS+ and was still angry for having downloaded it. It had potential, but it's definitely no Super Monkey Ball. It's frustrating as hell. And ugly.

I didn't even know what the argument was, I just thought you were posting it so we could laugh at whoever the hell that guy was.

Yeah I used to go overboard with digital sales. I definitely have some hall of shame candidates still in my backlog. I'm sure most people have a few regrets.

Voodoo Dice is another game where I should have listened to the horrible reviews instead of just thinking I would like the game.

@Steller and anyone else who bought that Ben 10 game, steller compared it with Mario Kart, is it anywhere near as fun?  I know nothing about the show, but I'd like a good kart game on my Vita.

Not really answering your question, but Sonic & All Stars Racing Transformed is damn good on vita barring a few technical hiccups. Of course it's probably more than Ben 10 right now, but just something to consider for the future.

I didn't play it on Vita, but on PC it's absolutely amazing. I've not thought a kart game measured up to the original MK until SASRT, but SASRT blows it out of the water. The variety of maps and game modes, combined with the unlocking system and the transformed aspect (the maps alter as you play them, and you end up transforming into a car or boat at different stretches. In some maps, the third lap is completely different because the map has been destroyed by airship fire or whatever so you have to fly through all kinds of stuff, etc.,) make it a ton of fun. The difficulties are ridiculous as well--easy is pretty easy, but with each step up (and there's four difficulty levels) the game gets much harder.

If you like kart games at all, get this game on some system.

Comparing it to Mario Kart, it's trash but it is a somewhat decent kart game as long as you don't try to compare it to MK. Like the others say Sega All star racing is the best kart gameplay you can get on Sony. Though for $5, I definitely got my moneys worth.

Well that Modnation Vita version was actually really good aside from the lack of multiplayer.

I think I'm gonna download and play Ben 10 Galactic Racing so I can finally have some pride in what I'm playing again!
Take a look at the last game I was playing when my PS3 died. Its been like that for over a month now.

I guess I could always go in there and manually change it but my shame is outweighed by my laziness. Killzone will be there next week... assuming it doesn't suck.

No shame in Disney Infinity or Skylanders. The shame with those games is an internal one when you look at all the plastic on your coffee table and realize how much money you threw away on this game.

Thanks for the heads up on the new ToS Frisky.  I've been logged in and out of my Vita all day and I would have had no idea what to do without your post.

Tongue in cheek... I have kids and they are the shield for any flames that cometh my way.

At least it started out as a joke... now I'm going to go sit in the dark and cry over all of the stuff I could have bought instead of half the Disney universe in precious moments form.

Thanks for the reminder to both of you. I saw Frisky's post and didn't think about it since I'm borrowing my friend's Vita. Guess I'll have to tell him to accept the TOS. I thought it was the bad WiFi at work.

For the record, I was being sarcastic about hamsterball.

No, seriously. My six year old plays it.

fuckers.

It's a shame the guacamelee costume DLC wasn't free, if you've already played through the game on normal and on hard you don't really have an itch to go back and play again with the new costumes. I bought the costume DLC after beating the game and other than getting the trophies associated with the costumes there isn't too much to do with them. Whereas the costumes associated with the challenge room DLC are useful to help you complete the combat challenge rooms. One blunts your punch damage+mega charges your thrown to help you rack up the combo meter faster and toss the chicken easier (you'll see) and the other greatly boosts your damage while greatly reducing your defense (helps with challenges that you have to kill enemies faster).

It seems like the costume DLC was designed to be purchased and used throughout the campaign, get stuck somewhere, try a different costume which might be better for that particular fight.

Haha... Same thing happens to me all the time (reminds me of when I would drive around town in Sleeping Dogs doing the different driving challenges while they watched). I work third shift so I get home a few hours before the kids get up. I'll be playing something that isn't suitable when they wake up so I'll save and quit. Of course, they always ask what I'm playing.

It never fails, they always find a way to tell mom that they were watching daddy play BioShock, The Last of Us, etc. when they literally only see me walking around for a few seconds and then the menu screen as I save. I'm just gonna start making up the titles when they ask.
haha kids are awesome!!

You can't get away with making up titles... they can read. Sounds like you have a good reason to buy a 2nd TV (bigger/better) and put it somewhere else in the house... :) So you don't "disturb" the family.

Last night went up to find a new game for my son to play with me... man... It is hard to find an age appropriate game for kids these days... All the best games are M... Groan...

Tongue in cheek... I have kids and they are the shield for any flames that cometh my way.

At least it started out as a joke... now I'm going to go sit in the dark and cry over all of the stuff I could have bought instead of half the Disney universe in precious moments form.
I'm so glad we're Skylanders instead of Infinity, especially when you look at how they're going to make you stay around for several games to get the characters you want.

One thing I've found cool about the Steam version is that users can actually make their own costumes to use in the game, and upload them for others to download as well. It's already led to some rather interesting, humorous results ;)

I realize you aren't really asking this, but if you don't have it already Rayman Origins and Legends are both fantastic kid friendly games that won't bore you either ^_^

Haha, Johnny Bravo

Anybody receive the above invite today from PSN? Just found it inside my email account.

Sony produces some great shows like Breaking Bad so I kinda wish I got this invite. Wonder what you did to trigger this invite? Do you buy episodes from shows they produce on psn or something?

I don't listen to their podcast so Wombat and Cheapy D don't really bother me. 8-4 Play is the only gaming podcast I currently listen to and when Cheapy's name pops up in their rss feed I just skip that episode lol

Just finished the invite survey, fairly typical stuff (what shows do you watch, when do you watch, etc.). I figured why not, though I probably won't do most of them if they are as long as the first (took me about 15 minutes I think).

I have never bought anything off the PSN video store, maybe a few rentals, that is about it. I completed the survey and was accepted into the program. I'm going to assume this program is going to help out with that special announcement back in E3 where they promise to bring exclusive shows/content to the Playstation Network.

Edit:

This is what the I see when I logged into my account. *I hope I didn't agree to an NDA* Looks like I did.

This seems like the kind of thing that gets you snatched by men in a black van and DRM forcibly implanted into your cranium.
It's not as bad as you think. There's only a little tingling and all the Kool-Aid you can drink.

Yeah, that was tongue in cheek also. My daughter has been reading since she was four and is quick to call me out on my BS.

I was going to give a few suggestions too. I definitely agree with you on the Rayman games as far as being kid friendly, but they are a little bit more on the difficult side depending on what age we're talking about. My 5 year old really liked Origins but he struggled with it and there would be no way he could play it alone. I think his favorite part was smacking me around during the loading screens (both on and off screen)

I would suggest any of the Lego games. He's into superheroes a lot, so he enjoyed the Super Hero Squad game. Also Toy Story 3 (if your kids like the movies they will love it). And they're not coop, but any of the Sony collections (Sly, Jak & Daxter, Ratchet & Clank), especially the Sly one. My son and I passed the controller back and forth and he had a blast. We bought the fourth one and loved it too.

We've got several other games but haven't played them yet (Sonic Racing, Disney Universe, etc) He did play the Disney Universe demo and liked it a lot so that seems like a pretty good choice.

Just bought Dynasty Warriors 6 Empires with my 20 dollar credit. I love that series to the death, I don't care what anyone says about Dynasty Warriors. It's just plain fun.

I'd add Ratchet and Clank: All4One to that list as well. I personally played through it with a six year old and found it rather enjoyable to my surprise (going back SP for trophies, not so much). Aside from a few sections it's not particularly difficult, and I found the coopetitive scoring system to be great for some friendly competition (you get bonus points for most bolts, kills, etc. but are never directly fighting each other). If you have it from PS+ I'd definitely give it a try, and if not I think there's a demo available as well.

I have 1 ps+ account but I want to change usernames next generation so I will start a new account. I have a vita and ps3. On ps3 and ps4 I will have two accounts: my ps+ account that I will use for all transactions and my desired username account to game with. This is annoying but OK so far. The only problem I can think of is playing my ps+ games on my vita.

Can I change my ps+ account on the Vita to the new account/username and use gamesharing to play all my ps+ account's  games on my vita (with new username/account)?

(Ordinarily I would assume that enabling gamesharing would simply allow my vita to download all the ps+ games to my Vita without a hitch, but it seems that one of the recent vita patches changed this somehow to discourage piracy)
