I got the multiplayer trophies in AC:L because I clearly have self-esteem/loathing issues. Shortly after I hit the save game corruption bug that destroyed my second-to-last mission save game forcing me to start over thus cementing that game as the game that has most pissed me off.

Wtf? A Tuesday went by and no one asked when the store was going to update? This thread has officially turned to shit.

Do you have to have PS Plus to get these games for free? And if I let my subscription expire, I get to keep the games, right?
 
I just checked and Galaga wasn't free for me either. Price showed $9.99, but then showed as Free in the little "you just added something to the cart" popup window. But then when I got to my cart to checkout, it showed as $9.99 again. I did download the demo eons ago, but I never had an issue with prior demo downloads before.

EDIT: This was all via the web store by the way.

We don't get it much here, but my favorite dumb question is "If I join PS+ now, will I get all the previous games that were part of the program?" As if Sony has no problem giving away access to the 100's of pieces of content that have been available since PS+ started.

I was tempted to buy Doodle God as I enjoyed the app but was unsure as I found nearly all of the inventions. 

And then I saw this review...

It's only the start of 2013, but I'm ready to submit my vote for 'worst PS Vita game of the year'.

The reviewer seemed biased about this type of game but since it does not appear to include the sequel (and its cheaper and/or free as an app or online), I guess I'll pass.

Haha yeah I know. And antenna sucks, I just stream Netflix usually. Syndicated shows like Simpsons and Seinfeld are far better than any of the primetime shows. I think Parks and Rec will be the only primetime show I'll even watch this year.

It was called Orc Attack. According to their Twitter it was at PAX. So I guess it's still gonna come out eventually. I hope we still get it free, but I doubt it.

I just hook up my work laptop to my TV using HDMI when there is actually something I want to watch (UFC fights/The Challenge/Mad Men/Parks and Rec if I miss it) but there are very few things I actually care about watching. Usually I'm playing video games or surfing the web.

so i sold my vita today and accidentally left the mem card in

i don't really care about losing the card, it was only an 8 gig and i doubt i'll ever get another vita, but could sony close my account or something if the guy tried to use the games installed? the cc associated with the account is inactive so idc about that,  but it'd be nice to use that acct if i ever get a ps4 down the line.

I'm tempted to get Aliens: Colonial Marines for $8 despite the awful reviews for it. Maybe I should wait for a $5 physical copy on Black Friday. For a game like this I can see it happening.

You might want to deactivate the Vita from your account and change your password to be safe, especially if you didn't format the system/memory card.

Been playing killzone for the past hour or so. It's super purdy, that's for sure, and controls really well. I like that you have the choice of stealth vs gunfight in a number of situations (which I assume is a killzone staple). Haven't jumped back in to the multiplayer but I'm sure it's at least as good as the beta. I'm not a big fps guy at all, but so far I'm pretty plussed.

After formatting it's more like 3.7GB free, so I doubt a 4GB memory card would be enough.

Nope, not really. It's always been pretty action-heavy, but the added emphasis should help breathe some life into the series after 3 games of the same.

 
Very interested in checking out Colonial Marines for $8. But does it come with the online multiplayer, or is that sold separately? I see a Season Pass is also available, but is that just for extra DLC?

 
Man, Galaga Legions feels like a poor man's Super Stardust. Nearly fell asleep before the first wave was finished. Shame, too, because I love Pacman DX.  And hadn't even heard of Puppeteer before today.  What an incredibly sharp and imaginative looking game.*

*polygon review was critical as fuck , though, lol. not helping my case. breakfuss am sad.

I'm really liking Dragon Fantasy Book II so far. It basically uses the battle system from Chrono Trigger with a bit of Earthbound mixed in and it immediately shows that it has a lot more content in there than what Book I offered.

Chrono Trigger? No way. This battle system is like if Chrono Trigger and Earthbound had a retarded kid. They took all the skills from Chrono Trigger, just changed the names. There's no ATB, no dual/tri skills as far as I've seen in my first hour. Not really seeing elements playing a big part in battles either, as I haven't seen a single elemental skill from Ogden or any of the monsters yet.

I'm a little disappointed. So many things are just recycled from the first game. From the skills, to the "witty" phrases that enemies shout at you during battles. Menu system is almost entirely the same, except now there's a tab for quest info.

Unless you LOVED the first one, then avoid the second until there's a crazy sale. More like Book I.5. If I was a Polygon write, I'd give it a 2/10. Since I'm not paid by Microsoft though...6/10 so far.

It's the first game I've played on the Vita (including Golden Abyss) where I feel like I'm getting a console fix on my handheld. It's so weird to see the all the terrible reviews that essentially say "This is a AAA console FPS but I'm like sooooooo bored of those now". I fuck ing hate the Killzone universe (having played 1,2, and liberation) but I can't say enough good things about this game.

It should have more maps and possibly a better save system but other than that it's a console game perfectly translated to a handheld. As long as there is a community (and I can't imagine it going away too soon) then I'll buy all the inevitable map packs that will come out.
