I fully understand what you're talking about when you say "gameplay", but I was trying to push you guys to go a little deeper because I felt you guys could do a better job of explaining your point of view than saying "There's no gameplay! You just push buttons and only hugs happen!" I'd love to see critique around here be more in-depth and see people push back and forth on our opinions so that we can hopefully come to an understanding of why some enjoy a game and why others don't instead of just having a gang war of words.

But whatever, I can't seem to be able to have a little fun and make light jokes around here about the shit everybody jokes about, so I'm done even trying anymore.

There's about as much puzzle in it as figuring out which key unlocks the front door to your place (an everyday dilemma for me, btw). Not once did I pause to think about how to solve something, and normally I'm pretty slow with that stuff. Still thought it was brilliant. Will be interesting to hear your thoughts. :rofl:

Papo Y Yo...as much as I want to recommend it, I can't. Even at $5. I just didn't enjoy it, and like @handsompete said, everything seemed to be built around the conclusion. Idk...feel bad for saying that considering the serious subject matter it tackles.

Haha my front door key is blue and my garage door key is orange. I had them cut using different colors, that's pretty much the only way I'd ever be able to remember which is which.

You've played a ton of games. Are you just "not cheap" or do you gameshare or something?

 
Anyone know if they are gonna give out a free game on Christmas? I remember last year they gave away Retro City Rampage on Christmas just for 1 day for ps+ subscribers. Hopefully they will

Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed is free for PS+, but it's not some special thing.

 
The only videos you ever see of Journey show the character running around in the desert watching the wind blow.   I know what type of games I like so I know to steer clear of games such as that.  I know I will be bored.  And when I see folks like jay_remedy formerly known as gettinmoney say its fucking boring, it reiterates what I think. 

Doesnt mean Journey isnt fund for other of course and I would never tell anyone they are dumb for liking a game I dont like.  I just know whats fun for me and what isnt.

The color thing is actually a really good idea. I never considered it.

Thing is, I actually don't play as many games as I'd truly like. I just have a lot to say about the ones I do. Which, I suppose, is why I get a tad annoyed when people only seem to center the conversation around a game's trophies. BUT, not going down that road again. Anyway, yeah, it's a combination of gamesharing, Steam sales, redbox, separate stints with Gamefly and questionable pricematching methods (lol). And PS+, of course. A fellow CAG actually gave Brothers to me. The only games I don't wait for much of a discount on are Nintendo since they hardly depreciate.

I'm still very cheap. :bouncy:

Darn it, I used the 7 day PS Plus trial that came with BF4 and it's not letting me get the PS+ discount on DuckTales.  I do have two year-long subscriptions from that $30 sale, but I was hoping to use those later.  So what's the point of the trial if you can't take advantage of the Plus features?

Is there going to be a Dragon Fanstasy book 3? If so I might as well just wait for the final combo pack.

I felt something in Journey, the "artsy" game which did little for me was Unfinished Swan.

Journey is a metaphor for trophy/achievement hunting, you go out of your way to collect tokens along the way and make your scrarf (epeen) longer, but in the end it doesn't really matter.

Picked up Duck Tales and power of illusion. Wanted to buy the physical copy of of Duck Tales for the pin, but I figured why bother when it's still a download voucher.

This thread is awesome precisely because of everyone having such divisive views on things and yours I think are especially insightful, even if we get snippy. It's always bummed me out that affa left and even the admiral because they have different takes on things too, but it can be a pretty rough crowd in here.

I also enjoy the steady stream of 'psn thread comedy hour' posts though. I guess I am the target audience of this thread.

I am going to rip your head off. I hate the inane banter here. It's such a nuisance to wade through all of it just to read what the new sales are. This thread is 348 pages - if we strictly talked about only the sales, the 348 pages would have been enough to cover the deals until we're all dead. Instead, this thread will now be 245682 pages by the time I get arthritis.

I really need to get around to trying that demo now. Looks completely nonsensical but the couple minutes I watched of it also makes me need to try it for some reason.

Although if I'm being honest, there isn't a lot of gameplay in NHL 14. I mostly just skate around with the analog stick and then use one button to shoot. I don't think it can really be classified as a game. It's more of an emotional experience.

But change your sig to Maria Sharapova because she's 10x the woman Mila Kunis is: 1) She's actually hot. Mila Kunis is pretty but she's Russian or Ukranian - I forget - so she's only civilian hot. Sharapova is actual Russian hot. 2) She has $40 million. 3) She's one of the best tennis players in the world, which actually requires talent unlike working on a hit sitcom and lying about your age.
